True X-Fitness Watch and Smartwatch

The Suunto Spartan is a true outdoor sport and fitness watch. This means it's for outdoor sport and fitness FIRST and foremost. If you're looking for something that is well built, rugged, waterproof and that will survive skiing, swimming, surfing, hiking, etc. AND track your vitals, measurements and movements then the Spartan is for you. The big selling point on the Suunto Spartan is MovesCount, their online community where you can track, self-assess, and compete against like-minded individuals in your field. If you're just after a smartwatch and something to wear to the gym, this is probably not the best watch for you. I only gave the watch 3 not 4 stars, as there are some frustrations with the watch. The menus in the watch are not intuitive and the 5 buttons on the watch do not make using it easier. There's no silent alarm (not that I can find) which seems a miss as Suunto have a great sleep analysis tool so you should wear this at night but then can't use it to discretely wake up. You can't just dive in and check your pulse/heart rate at will (the watch has a heart rate monitor but it only works and measures and reports to the app. Not a bad thing, but worth letting you know - the screen is not hi-res, but that's a trade off for great battery life which is a higher priority. It does provide SMS and call notifications, so it works as a Smartwatch but it's definitely not a Smartwatch first (you can set this up and use it without ever connecting it to your phone).
I have written Yes I would recommend this to a friend, but the real answer is Maybe. If you're an athlete yes. If you're not. No.

Unlimited Devices - Near Perfect

We have multiple computers. A laptop for school (Mac), a shared home desktop/gaming rig (Windows), my work laptop (Windows) and my wife's work laptop (Mac). Then we have our Samsung phones. Getting an antivirus solution that gives protection across all of us without costing a fortune. This is the ONLY software where I can protect all devices and manage them centrally. It's worth the upgrade from the free version and the system cleanup has been good at speeding up our gaming rig. I'm only giving it 4 stars because on the Mac's it only provides antivirus.

Love it - definitely worth buying

First. Don't be deceived by the HUGE Insignia box. This is small. It's actually slightly shorter than the box is wide (yes wide). No idea why it's in such a tall box when you could probably fit 3 in the box.
This is much better than the equivalent sized Google product. The clock makes this infinitely better a bedside voice assistant. The screen is also handy as it can display the outside temperature (displays for a few seconds after you ask); if you set an alarm the clock shows AL for Alarm - so you know you have one set. Volume is also displayed digitally and numerically.
The LCD clock display is bright but not too bright. so it won't disturb your sleep.
BONUS this comes with a rear USB port. So you can charge your phone off the back of it.
Not easily understood from the box or pictures. The power cord is removable. It's not powered by a micro USB or USB C. More an FYI, as I was wondering if this was hard wired power or removable.
If you want a voice activated clock/alarm for a bedroom, or a black Google Home or a Google home that doesn't look like an air freshener - then this is for you. Recommended.

Low System Impact - Good Peace of Mind

Writing a review for this is tough because I haven't had an active experience with the defense/protection. Malware Bytes 3.0 protects from malware and PC hijacking. The latter is why you should get this software. Even if you are technically savvy, this is good software because it's the family who uses your PC who tends to click, install or expose you to things you wouldn't want on your computer. System impact was minimal - I didn't notice any slower loads, speeds, impact. I wouldn't use it as an antivirus replacement it's a nice complement to using the free antivirus that comes with Windows for additional peace of mind.

The Philips Hue A19 lights are an affordable way of expanding the footprint of your smart bulbs. You need a Philips Hub to use this (not included) so if you already have a hub, you know about the smarts in these lights. The A19's throw out great even white light. I got this to use in our stairwell - where I didn't need the colors you get from the E26. In case you are wondering, Philips claims you can manage up to 50 bulbs from one hub.

A Portable Battery Powered Black Google Home

I own a Google version of the Google Home, but let's be honest, it looks like an air freshener. I was after another one and Best Buy have this JBL Speaker with Google Home so decided it was worth a try. Setup is easy, just like with a Google Home (you need the Google Home app). The JBL connects to WiFi and has a battery - so it's portable and can go anywhere. Sound wise, it's got much better sound than the Google Home and can pump up much louder. Deep base and solid mid to high range. I like that it also has dedicated volume buttons. It also works as a bluetooth speaker. If you're looking for an alternative to the Google Home, one that is black, portable, runs on batteries then this is for you. Recommended.

Does it blend - yes! The perfect blender

I've always felt a blender is a bit of a luxury purchase. But in an attempt to avoid winter weight gain, I have started going to the gym and wanted to make smoothies for breakfast. Which means, fruit, ice, yogurt, milk and even some granola into the mix. The Blendtec Series 575 made quick short work of blending my next breakfast. I'm still working out the best way to get the right consistency. It has a dedicated smoothie button (which is great) but with 5 speeds giving me more control I am working out if I can manually do something more interesting. Worth noting, the various preset options do make the Blendtec Series 575 easier to use than other blenders. It's also worth knowing this has an INCREDIBLE 8 year warranty. I have never owned any consumer product with this type of warranty. It's solidly built, so not sure I would even ever need the warranty, but for 8 years - that's peace of mind. Definite buy.

Best Indoor Wireless Security Camera

I have been using the Arlo Pro 2 Security Camera for a week and I am impressed. I got this as I rent an apartment and occasionally I need the super to come in and do work, plus I also have a cat. So I wanted something so I could keep a (random) eye on my cat and also just check-in when the super is bleeding the radiator or working. I picked the Arlo 2 because it was wireless and you can check-in via your phone. Both features work exactly as promised. You do need a spare network port on your router for the base station unit - which is a little frustrating. I am guessing this is because when you login remotely, you're not overloading the WiFi trying to live stream a video back to your phone. Audio quality is very good - surprisingly good. I had some fun catching our cat out misbheaving and reprimanding the cat remotely. There's a lot of other features I am yet to really take advantage of (night mode, cloud DVR) but all in all very happy. If I can, will try and come back and add some more updates in a month after I have played with this more. But if you want an indoor security camera that is portable, wireless and flexible, the Arlo 2 will meet your needs.

Ultimate Alexa Experience - Killer Audio

I own an Echo Dot, which I love, but it's awful for listening to music. I was after something that pumped out better sound, but could also survive being used as a portable speaker on the go that also looked fun. The Ultimate Ears BLAST fits the bill. WiFi setup/connecting to the Amazon Alexa app was straight forward and with Amazon Music ready to play - well I was blown away by the quality sound. True bass and music you can enjoy (no more FM radio sounding dot for me). The Ultimate Ears BLAST with Alexa definitely fills the room. As a bluetooth speaker, the Ultimate Ears BLAST is equally as good and battery power doesn't diminish the ability to blast (pun intended) the room with music. As an Alexa device, I'm a basic Alexa user (music, weather, news) and everything worked as well as it does with my Echo Dot. Recommended.

best Wireless Sports Headphones / Earbuds

I wanted a pair of bluetooth headphones for when I jog. I am don't sweat a lot, but did want something sweat resistant, with a neck cord, and good sound (decent base, not all treble). The Plantronics Backbeat FIT 305 fit the bill. Sound is awesome for a pair of sports headphones, which often compromise on audio for "sports" features. The earbud piece has a smart design so it stays in your ear. tt's hard to describe, but better than those that you need to kind of hook into your ear canal. The nylon/fabric wrapped cord makes them much durable and hard wearing than typical earbuds. A surprising add-on feature is you download their app, there's a find my earbud feature. I wouldn't try it in your ear (you might go deaf) but if you're like me and end up losing headphones in the bottom of your bag, it's a nice add on feature that they don't advertise or promote. Recommended.

Yes. It does. They are accessed via the OSD. The manul doesn't mention them, but it does have them. I know as I own the monitor.

What’s the recommended age
I have had it about a week, based on the weight (26lb) I would say adults or late teens. It's relatively heavy. Kids can ride it, but it might be too much for them to carry around when not in use.

I own this. It doesn't connect via Bluetooth or need an app. The idea is that it cools your forehead and slows your metabolism. I find it useful, I can't sleep with it on because it makes some noises which bother me (but I am very sensitive).

Yes, if you can connect via HDMI but the monitor is only 1080 so you may need to drop your resolution on your MAC.

Yes, but it has no speakers so it's not recommended or ideal as a monitor that could also be a TV replacement.

does this monitor work for gaming
Yes, but I would not recommend it. It has AMD FreeSync but refresh rates are not ideal if you're a serious gamer.
