GREAT MASSAGER w/ BUGS and QUIRKS
on November 2, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
First, I will say I was pleasantly surprised by both the power and portability of the Lyric Massager. After opening the box - the presentation is premium and well-thought-out, from the packaging to the fit layout of accessories. Everything is self-contained in the base, which serves as the wireless charger too. The rhythmic massage is different from the other percussive massagers I own and use. It felt different to my muscles and like I was "warmed up" and ready to go quicker. Setting it up is simple and straightforward - follow the onscreen prompts.

First Impressions!
This is QUALITY, innovation, and thoughtful engineering in development. There will be an app soon, so this will only get better from here! This is solid, and it is just the right size to keep it around and actually use. I like the guided and timed massages. The rhythmic movements are noticeable over the traditional percussive guns out there with the use of different programs with different rhythms and strengths. Both guided and manual options are available, making this suitable for those new to the self-care massaging world too.

Needs Improvement
-The Base-
Now, it's time for some of the bad stuff. While the base is a big part of tying together everything in a minimalist package, it is also the biggest problem with its current design. The base separates easily with the device in the cradle. The bottom often falls apart, with the attachments scattering everywhere. You will learn how to grab this right (w/ two hands) after this happens a few times, or you'll come up with your own fix. This is an easy fix in R&D, but I use an elastic band to keep it together for now. It gets extremely hot while charging when plugged in and used as a wireless charger.
-Sudden stops -
Another annoyance to me is when you touch the display (accidentally most of the time) while massaging, it immediately stops and ends whatever you are doing, and you have to start over (this has been fixed in new firmware update).
-Restarts during setup -
During the setup process, if you - for whatever reason - do not finish the setup process, you will need to redo it from the beginning. It seems to be an early release that could be tweaked for fixes like this. My Lyric is running v 0.8.9, so I think this could be an early release of the software.
-Is It Charging? -
There is also no way to tell if it is charging or not. If you plug it in, nothing happens-not a vibration or a sound. You'll need to navigate to the info screen to see the lightning bolt. The only way to tell it is charging is after a while - it gets warm.
-Back button -
It feels pointless to have a button that only goes back on some screens. It does not work as you would expect when you.
-OS Interface -
Things feel really early and unfinished. Things are not intuitive, and someone needs to make the button make sense. Make it the "ok" button or the "back" button when it makes sense. If you are on the home screens looking through the options and maybe you passed something and want to go back. Maybe make the icons full screen and make it the ok button.
-Touch Screen -
The touch screen isn't the greatest and often misses inputs and becomes an annoyance. When you swipe, it doesn't register, but it works enough to stop your massage when you are massaging... go figure.

Verdict
This is definitely useable, and I only see it getting better from here. The device itself is fantastic, and I encourage anyone looking at percussive massagers to look at this one. This is a nice thing to keep in your gym bag after a long training session. It works wonders on your feet!

Almost PERFECT but missing some things
on October 27, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
This Surface Studio Laptop is a device for anyone wishing their tablet was a computer because a particular software isn't available in your favorite mobile ecosystem. Maybe you are a student who likes to decompress by sketching or you have dreams of drawing or designing. Maybe you are a notetaker? This model is actually the sweet spot in the lineup for value and performance. It can provide a tablet/legal pad writing experience like no other by just using a magnetic slim pen. I love the versatility, adaptability, and portability in my daily workflow and all without compromising too much.
Had a long day? This can be your media consumption device as well. You can get by with a gaming session on most games using high settings and get respectable to decent fps. This isn't a gaming laptop, but it can be one in a pinch. This is directly tied to its weakness as a gaming laptop. That is where the Achilles Heel, with all this greatness, comes into the picture. Maybe it was done to preserve another product line, but choices are always good for clients, especially in the GPU department.

The overall value proposition is excellent, and the versatility is unmatched for a device like this - a laptop. The screen is a 14.4" 120hz IPS Pixel Sense display panel with a 3:2 aspect ratio of 201ppi, 500 nits of brightness, and Dolby Vision capable. Windows 11 home is installed out of the box on a build with i7-11370, RTX 3050ti 4GB DDR6 RAM, 16GB RAM, m.2 SSD with half TB of storage. You don't get much regarding I/O with only 4 ports on the machine - 2 Thunderbolt 4, 1 3.5mm headphone, and Surface Connect port. The keyboard is backlit and offers an excellent typing experience Surface keyboards are known for a nice big touchpad with haptic feedback. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 to go with a 1080p 2MP AI-powered webcam with Windows Hello IR.

For me, there is a HUGE compromise that you must accept by making this purchase - that is, the GPU selection (or lack thereof) and the ultimate choice of the RTX 3050ti for the build. I am sure there were reasons this was chosen - potentially involving the chip shortage - but the very least many would expect as a "budget" GPU for creatives would be an RTX 3060ti. The RTX 3060ti is beefier in performance, and you would also be able to pitch this as a gaming-capable PC. The true DO IT ALL device. For video, the lowest compromise I would make is a 3060ti if it was me at design HQ. The performance increase is immense vs. the 3050ti, and I will leave it at that.

Otherwise, this is a PERFECT machine for the traveling creative or professional. If you use a laptop, this is for you. If you use a tablet, this could be for you. If you use a tablet to sketch or design things, this can be for you. Students and corporate executives, this is for you too! This is so versatile, it could cannibalize other parts of the laptop/PC/tablet market in a few years with proper development and vision. I like what I see here and look forward to developing this new hinge and other upgrades to this new device.

Thoughts for Improvement
-Volume buttons - When I use this in any mode other than laptop mode, I find myself searching for and wishing there were buttons for volume on the right or left side of the screen. It is a pain to swipe up in the taskbar to adjust the volume with the icon or in-app volume controls. I look for a tablet experience blended here as well for the perfect blending of the surface lineup. Tactile volume buttons would be a plus.
-GPU choices - 3050ti is not the best choice if this is geared towards creatives. The minimum we should see is a 3060 for machines geared towards creatives. There are no options to pay for more powerful cards like the 3060/70/80, which is my biggest complaint. The card is just OK, more than enough for an everyday user, but power users are looking for at least the 3060 as their budget options. While this is fantastic for art and just decent at gaming, this is a well-rounded machine weakened by the graphics department.
-Pixels missing - This is a nit-pick, but the corners are rounded on display, and you lose pixels of a square screen. Parts of the mouse cursor disappear, and the rounded corner is not taken into account. This could be a problem for creators and editors who look at every pixel at the edges of the display. Most will not be bothered or even notice this at all, I am sure.
- Upgradability w/ access door - This isn't very consumer repair friendly after supporting it. The backplate is thin and surrounded by lots of sticky tape, but if you are skilled and can watch a video, you can do it yourself. With a platform base, I would expect the EASIEST way to upgrade this machine is to make an access door/s. You will need to be highly skilled and think it through before attempting, or you will break the bottom plate. This is a Microsoft "job" most shouldn't try.
-Poor I/O #donglelife - I/O selection is poor and very basic. This means you will be signing up for #donglelife. Another thing I do not like is the fact the ports are on both sides. I would have liked to see everything on the left side to avoid wires on the right where you may be using your mouse.
-No SD card reader - no SD Card slot, only 2 USB 4 Thunderbolt USB-Cs, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Surface Connect port, that's it? Again, this big platform should be filled with I/O since it gives the appearance of a docking station.
-Colors - I wish there was a matte black option to match the Slim Pen 2. The fact there isn't a platinum Slim Pen 2 is not a good look. You have a black pen standing out against a platinum laptop. I thought this was about planning and keeping things "at the center"? A black pen "at the center" of my laptop is an eyesore in my opinion. A quick and easy fix and probably already in the works.
-Matte screen option - I wish there were matte and gloss screen options; indoors, the glossy screen is very reflective and distracting. Outdoors, don't even try!
-Brighter display - I'd like to see up to 1000 nits if we are shooting for creatives. Many get inspiration from the outdoors, and drawing outside on a sunny day is tough sometimes between the reflective display and low brightness.

My Wish List for Next Rendition
-8 Core CPU maybe even AMD option
-RTX 3060ti minimum for the GPU with higher options up to 3080.
-Additional SSD M.2 slot and removable access door.
-4 USB-C and maybe 1 USB-A
-Brighter Screen with a matte option

Go get one!

Excellent Protection without Cutting Value/Quality
on October 19, 2021

from Frederick, MD
The Eufy Solocam L40 offers affordable and reliable 2k or 1080p wireless video recording solutions. Since I already have Eufy products, I just add another device using the app as you would have done in the past. Download Eufy Security, make a login, add the device to your app, and you are ready to go. Everything you need to mount this is provided in the box. Long screws and also a set of wall anchors with screws to match are provided in this kit. If you are in the market for smart security, Eufy is where to start looking first.
After installation, reviewing the footage will make you happy with its resolution and clarity. License plates and faces are clearly visible with resolution enough to punch in and extract detail. The app and setup process is extremely easy to use. There are moments with buffering but usually, they work themselves out after a few seconds. I like the fact there are NO FEES, local video storage, and it integrates well with Alexa and Google. With my Alexa ecosystem, all my Alexa speakers are also chimes to let me know someone is at the door while I am anywhere in my house. Everything I could ask for in a home surveillance system. The inclusion of AI reduces false alarms and does a great job of filtering people from the rest of the alerts. Below are a few thoughts I'd like to share regarding my likes and dislikes with the system.
+Easy setup using the app and scanning QR Code after connecting the Solo Spot Cam 2K to WiFi.
+Strong solid connection and the camera uses AI onboard to detect people in just 200 milliseconds to minimize false alerts and keep your phone quiet.
+Built-in storage 8GB claiming 2 months of storage encrypted under AES128 military-grade encryption to protect your privacy.
+600 lumens of focused light with color temperature control!
+Alerts are almost instant!
+No monthly fees!
+Water resistant IP67
+90dB siren built-in with flashing light and 2-way communication all in a self-contained easy to use and install solution.
+Battery is rated at 120 days on a single charge but of course, this will vary based on the amount of traffic and triggers that cause it to record. This in theory should mean you only charge it 3 times per year!
-Big and heavy but good thing you don't have to hold it. It's a lot larger than other solutions out there, this makes it stand out more and make it less discrete.
-Must enter "Power Manager" for an exact battery percentage
-Planned obsolescence - Batteries not removable or replaceable. When it dies you must buy new hardware. On-board storage is not removable or upgradeable either - two pretty important points of failure on wireless security cameras.
As you can see, there are a few things that make me scratch my head but there are WAAAAAAAAAAY more positives in my opinion. This system is excellent and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay monthly fees or pay for overprices cameras out there. Eufy has created a sweet spot in the market where you don't have to get less when you pay less in this market!

AV Software with Networking/Optimization Tools
on October 16, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
Bullguard may not be a household name yet, but it is a nice level of protection for home use and maybe students. I personally have never heard of Bullguard, so I gave this a shot. After some research, they are owned by Norton which helped build a little credibility and reputation. The overall presentation and layout of the software are fairly simple but not very intuitive. There are drop boxes you need to click to see what else can be done in a specific tile on the dashboard. I believe this needs a redesign, but the function is all there. It offers antivirus, parental controls, gaming mode, PC optimization tools, network discovery tools, and lots of things you don't usually see in normal antivirus protection. The Wi-Fi scanning utility, duplicate file scanner, and registry scanner are bonuses and make this worth the price in addition to the antivirus function. It does NOT offer VPN included in this package but they will sell it as an add-on. The firewall is excellent and offers DETAIL logs for advanced users.
Things are easy to install and once you create your Bullguard login and enter the license code once. Now, software activation is easy without having to enter a license code each time. Download a trial and log in to get started. Now you will be presented with the dashboard and the plethora of functions to fit your needs. Good luck and explore! You will see what you need and start using things. In all, I think this is a good buy for 10 devices and also the extra functionality it brings with PC optimization. It is not resource-intensive and the Gamer mode does actually work. I noticed a 4fps-15fps jump when it is activated over my prior AV software. I think this is a buy, especially for those who are looking for basic protection.

Great for Facials... For feet not so much
on October 14, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
The Vanity Planet Face and Body Cleansing System is a cheap beginners kit for skin care. It is completely made out of plastic from the drive to the handle. It feels cheap and disposable to me which doesn't bode well for quality. Let's start with the unboxing experience. Prepare to be amazed by the simple tray and sleeve presentation! Pull out the tray to reveal EVERYTHING you wanted. Facial and body brushes along with a pumice stone and NO BATTERIES. This is the type of gift you expect to see at maybe a secret Santa event for someone you don't know.
To get started, pull straight down on the battery handle/door to reveal the battery compartment that takes 6-AA. Take off the lid to the battery compartment to reveal the need for 4 AA batteries which are NOT included. There is not a way to buy replacements parts from what I could tell. There is nothing mentioned on the box or in the literature included with it. This for all intents and purposes is a "single-use" product after your attachments are expended. You will not have the option to buy attachments again. Here is a shining example of planned obsolescence for anyone who doesn't understand what that is.
The almost all-plastic build appears to be at least water-resistant, but I don't see anywhere that's clearly marked or advertised. I see seals around the battery compartment and a rubberized switch which leads me to believe this is meant for wet/dry use. The brushes work great on your face and skin but the pumice stone isn't enough to make a difference. In short, this is a quick fix for something you may want to invest in if you are into skincare. There are better kits out there that offer replacement parts so it's on you. Do you want disposable or do you want reusable and quality?

Excellent Smart Lock for Cabinets and Small Doors
on October 12, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
The Yale Smart Cabinet Lock is a solid Bluetooth locking solution for lightweight doors. It isn't affordable to the masses, but it solves a problem either permanently or temporarily with a choice of tape or screws. It connects through HomeKit or just Bluetooth using the Yale Access app (iOS & Android).
This kit is mostly built of plastic externals and EVERYTHING important to secure the lock is plastic. It includes everything to make the install easy to include stick-on templates to line things up perfectly each time. I cannot complain about the installation process. SUPER EASY for me and should be for you too.
The only thing I worry about is how long the plastic for the latch and lock will last before it gets brittle and is easy to break. After pulling the door, this can withstand a strong tug. It's not going to stop a thief, but it will stop children and anyone with a little common sense. Another concern I have is how will it be to get replacement parts for this.

Good but READ TESTING CONDITIONS
on September 21, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
The Beurer BC57 blood pressure monitor does a great job of being portable and easy to use regarding just getting the reading. After setup, you press the power button and wait. This device does the job, but it is only as good as the end user's ability to "test" properly. There are many different ways to throw this off, so you will NEED to read all the requirements carefully to get an accurate reading.

The setup process is straightforward. The app is elementary and serves more of a journal or log of your readings, in my opinion. The BC57 has a power save feature if you forget to turn it off after 3 minutes, so it will help you from killing the battery, which I like. The packaging touts Google Fit integration, but there are NO readings to view in Google Fit. HOWEVER, I was able to get it to sync up with Samsung Health and import my readings automatically, which is REALLY cool. This should be added to the box as well.

FOR SAMSUNG HEALTH INTEGRATION: after Bluetooth is enabled on the BC57, open Samsung Health, tap settings, tap accessories, and then scan for accessories where you will find BC57 to register.

In short, this is a nice piece to have at home and does the job, but you need to be aware of all the things that could create a false reading to keep things accurate.

Great Coffee Shop Experience @home
on September 16, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
This machine is AMAZING for my house and probably yours too. Let’s be honest, if you are looking at his machine, you probably spend for the “barista” experience, and you can now have that at home! The Dinamica Plus is, to me, simply a work of art and engineering. Something so powerful packed in a machine that fits on my counter yet produces perfect and repeatable results with the touch of a screen is exciting. It blends into any modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances. This one machine is everything you need to make a coffee (beans, water, frother, and expresso maker) and EVEN the barista! Your job is to select the drink you want and enjoy the amazing smells and sounds of a coffee shop in your own home. The one thing I like most about this machine is consistency. Your drinks will remain the same every time. No more accidentally adding too much milk or creamer; that’s taken care of for you. The coolest part of this is that all drinks are fully customizable, and you get four profiles and a guest to make drink settings.
Ease of Use
This machine can make anything from cappuccinos to lattes to plain expresso to ordinary coffee like a k-cup. With that being said, you will need to spend time in the manual to learn about drinks and customizations to program things to your liking. Don’t get me wrong, this machine is good at making drinks with default settings, but there is nothing like making it a little stronger or adding a little more creamer/milk to get it just right, and THAT makes it all worth it. The app is nice and basic, but more of a gimmick for me since it is like a remote control that works when within range. To be truly impressive, incorporate voice assistant integration, and you will be the BEST machine hands down. To be able to say what you want and the drink is made from anywhere there is internet sounds exciting to me. At the same time, it may be scary to those who work at a coffee shop as this would mean no need for baristas.
My Observations
There were a few things I noticed that made me scratch my head though here too. First, if you make a mistake, YOU WILL LOSE any grinds after canceling the drink. I don’t understand why but I am sure it is due to the mechanics and simple programming being run in the machine. It to me is pretty annoying to know delicious EXPENSIVE coffee is being dumped into a container with other expended grounds reducing your chances of using it again. This brings me to the next part, using it with pre-ground coffee. If you need to use pre-ground coffee, you will see it get clogged when in humid environments or after making a few cups with grounds as they stick to the sides of the chute. For some, it may be too big for their counters and may run into problems with reloading under a cabinet.
Let's Do Better
I’d really like the incorporation of digital assistants like Google or Alexa with voice functions to make a cup of coffee at a certain time. I didn’t see the option to do the basics like power on and brew a cup on a schedule, and that would be nice. I wish it would autosave the last setting used i.e., I use the largest cup size with the scooper to finish some leftover pre-ground coffee, and I have to click the bean button like 5-6 times to get to the scoop then 5-6 more times to get the largest quantity. I get that we usually grind beans each time for this machine, but it’s the little things like that to set yourself apart.

In all, I LOVE this machine and can recommend it to ANYONE who has the budget for it. You will not be disappointed and maybe will come back a click “helpful” under my review!

Great 1st GO at High-end Wireless Earbuds DEVIALET
on September 9, 2021
Posted by: nkpstudios
from Frederick, MD
The Devialet Gemini comeback story begins… the main issues are fixed regarding the software bugs and connectivity issues. We now have a stable and POWERFUL set of ANC earbuds for your listening pleasure. If you know Devialet, you are to expect nothing but excellence and fantastic sound. If you have not heard of Devialet, be prepared for a SWEET introduction to incredible sound from their first entry into the earbud market. I am glad to see Devialet bounce back to provide another viable ANC earbud for our listening pleasure.
First and foremost, these look and sound AMAZING!!!! Build quality is top-notch and made of high-quality materials. The Phantom speaker design language is present, and you will like these if you are into Devialet's minimalistic styling. From the case to the actual buds, you will NOT question the build of these, and in fact, using these will reassure you of your purchase.

OVERVIEW
Setup 4/5
Build 5/5
Sound 5/5
ANC 5/5
Battery 4/5
App & Features 2/5
Call Quality 2/5

SETUP/BUILD. The Gemini setup was straightforward. Open the earbuds, find your tips, remove the blue tape from the contacts, charge the case (Qi compatible), and pair them using the Bluetooth menu. For the REAL experience, download the Devialet Gemini app for customizations. I instantly notice that these sound GREAT, especially if you tweak the EQ (it works) to your liking. The flat EQ setting is an excellent balanced sound profile. Most buds are not affected by the EQ in-app, but these you can definitely notice every time a change is made. I found that if I put the case on a charger first, the case would be "activated," and you could get it to pair after removing the blue tape from each earbud. After they are "charged", you can pair them in the app.

SOUND. In my experience, the Geminis are at the top for sound quality in the wireless ANC space, ESPECIALLY at the $299 price point. Lows and mids are powerful and clean, with sharp separation between bass and mids. Vocals do not sound processed and are just clear studio-quality sound and not warm to my ear. Things were not tinny or piercing at any point and stayed quite balanced, even while at higher volumes. The soundstage sounds tight and controlled. They don't feel wide or airy like some other buds out there and stay true to Devialet's sound. If you like the Phantom and Reactor speakers' design, you will like these. If you turn on ANC, the sound quality is slightly different, but many will not worry.

ANC. ANC is superb and performs with the best of them… also a top 3 in this category. These do an excellent job of blocking out voices and creating a "silent room" in noisy environments. I have no complaints with ANC except every now, and then I could hear a slight white noise but it isn't too bad. My wife couldn't hear it so your results may vary. The experience overall is great until you have to interact with the touch controls. The touch interface is where things take a hard turn for me. I HATE these touch controls and the lack of options for customization. I will only say this is good for play/pause and switch between transparency and ANC modes. I believe this is where they should lose the "truly wireless" moniker because you TRULY MUST use your phone for simple things like volume control and voice control. You must choose between VOICE ASSISTANT and SKIPPING/REPLAYING songs for your "customizing" pleasure. This is a FAIL in my book for this price point. I would expect some more functionality in this department for the price.

BATTERY. Battery life will vary depending on usage (volume, ANC, transparency, etc.). I used mine around 65% volume without ANC (neutral mode) and was able to get through three full workdays before NEEDING to recharge the case. With my NORMAL use, not TESTING, I will have my ears/case on a wireless charger at my desk, so they are always charged when I need them. For some detail, I talk on the phone for maybe 2-3 hours, listen to music for about 2 hours, or they go in the case. In summation, I concur battery life is AT LEAST as advertised, but mileage will vary. I charge the case every other day while using these about 8 hours a day at work and putting them back in the case to charge. By keeping them in the case, you will always have enough to talk.

APP & FEATURES. Now - the app… this is the GLARING WEAKNESS for the Geminis, and I will sum it up in one word, COMPROMISE. While the main things with software were fixed regarding stability and connectivity issues and app, the app remains handicapped and unfinished with LOTS of room for polish and features. The biggest plus of the app is still the EQ! This is one of the few EQs you will use to NOTICE every change in the six bands provided. Now, we must get to the rest of it, and it isn't good. The interface is VERY basic and limited. I need to use my phone for EVERYTHING like VOL, skipping and repeating tracks, and using a voice assistant. Whatever you choose, you will basically have to give up something else. On Gemini 2, I expect to see BIG STRIDES in the app and polish the overall experience we are used to seeing with the Phantom and Reactor lineups.

CALL QUALITY. Call quality is just OK or mediocre at best. This is partially due to there only being 1 microphone dedicated to calls. The overall shape encourages wind noise with the "dip" into the touch control - much like when you cup your ear to hear a little better. Most people said they could tell I was on earbuds and could hear lots of background noise. On a scale of 1-5, this is a firm 2 and a weak point for sure - but hey, did we buy these to do work and talk all day, or was it their sound and small form factor that won you over?

NOTABLY NOT PRESENT are features like HiFi codecs, no multiple device connections, no simultaneous multi-device connections, no power-save auto-off features, no background noise mic canceling, and TOUCH CUSTOMIZABILITY - did I mention no multi-device connections? SMH. Pick one and reconnect to another. Do yourself a favor and "forget" the connection to avoid repairing the previously connected device. A PITA for $300 the fact you must re-pair EACH TIME.

Things I Noted
-Anytime you touch them, you hear a clicking noise while in ANC mode from what I presume is the speaker. Touch controls are delayed and not the greatest.
-When cycling through modes using touch controls, you only get transparency and ANC modes. I want NEUTRAL in there too because it is THE BEST way to listen to these.
-The way to overcome the lack of touch controls is to use the voice assistant. These REALLY need a way to control the volume on the buds themselves. Touch controls for swipes could be added for volume.
-Pairing was a pain with Apple. You need to manually connect to the Geminis rather than trust the app to link up to the case. The case will connect just fine with the "LE," but the actual earbuds do not connect until you tap it in the Bluetooth settings. Pairing with Android was easier since the case did not automatically pair instead of the headphones.

Pros
Wireless charging case WITH REPLACEABLE battery
Sound quality
Functioning EQ
XS Ear tips (one more size for small ears)

Cons
-Case - battery levels can only be accurately known when buds are in the case, and it is open while being connected to the app.
-No auto power-off or power save option.
-Buds stay on if IN case and the case is slid open.
-Limited touch controls
-No quick charge advertised. How much juice in a pinch?
-Cannot use both earbuds interchangeably for music or calls, you must use the right if you need only one bud in. As soon as you close the case, the disconnection happens when using only left bud.
-No simultaneous multiconnection. No multi-device connections. One device per pair.
-Sometimes, reconnection problems when connecting/disconnecting a single bud after the initial connection.
-No usable background noise cancellation. You can hear any wind or noise in the background.
-Bluetooth 5.0 BLE/2.4GHz not 5.2
-APTX support but no HiFi codecs. LDAC would have been nice.

In short, these are great-sounding earbuds, but for the price, there are better overall experiences out there. These feel like their first go at it, and the app is unfinished and needs polish. These will be good in a few years after they work out the software side of things. Hardware-wise, these are excellent. But if you are a fan of Devialet and great sound but not looking for high marks in call quality.

The Tineco Hard Floor Washer One S5 is a fantastic piece of tech to have around your home for hardwoods and other hard floor varieties. You can clean hardwoods, bamboo, linoleum, tile, or anything you would use a mop on that has a smooth surface. The lightweight, portable and cordless S5 has been a dream to use. I am coming from another good floor cleaner, but it has a cord which is quite annoying. The S5 makes cleanups fast and easy since you don't need to look for a plug. The best thing about this is the ability to vacuum, mop, and clean it up in one motion.

Build/Design and Aesthetics
Nice beautiful modern build in a two-tone colorway using white, grays, and blacks that will blend into your home. It looks and feels like a high-quality machine. There is a beautiful LED screen with information that is very helpful to you and has voice notifications to tell you what's happening with your device. There is a clean readout of exactly how much battery is left. In my experience, I am finished in about 25 mins, and I have 23% remaining.

Setup & Ease of Use
The setup was straightforward. If you need to, review the manual for where everything goes together, but I found it pretty self-explanatory. It includes a bottle of Tineco cleaning solution for you to add a capful to the reservoir with some water. Next, you click on the handle, put it on the base, and plug in the charger - pretty simple. Let it get to 100% before first use, and you can get to work.

Weight and portability
The size and shape of this floor cleaner is perfect for quick cleaning. It is light enough to maneuver but tough/heavy enough to take on the edge of a cabinet or occasional couch leg or shelf. My wife and I both agree this is the only one for our place now, and we can get rid of the purple corded one ;).

Cleaning and storage
The performance of these soft brushes is quite impressive. They don't scratch or leave marks on my hardwood floors, and it leaves the floors damp but NOT wet, which is the DIFFERENCE between this and the competition. My floors are dry in literally maybe 5 minutes vs. 20 minutes using other floor cleaners. I like the multi-use docking station. It works as a self-cleaning station, parts storage, and charger. It uses AI to decide if it needs to do a self-clean or deep-clean - pretty cool! I like the included cleaning brush tool as well. It's used to get in the nooks and crannies of the dirty water tank and much anywhere that needs to be cleaned including the brush roller. It sits tucked away on a small base that contains everything.

App and Voice notifications
I like the fact you don't need to guess what the icons mean on the display since you get a voice to tell you what's going on. This vacuum has an app that is pretty cool and offers other stats in a journal form utilizing a daily log of use. The Tineco app is pretty cool but doesn't add any real benefit, in my opinion, that you can't get from just paying attention to when you start and stop vacuuming.

We need to talk…
The tank is small, and I need to empty it twice while doing my kitchen that is 10x15. Aside from the tank size and needing to refill or empty one of the two tanks a few times, this is a breeze to work with. The cleaning time of roughly 30 mins for me is just enough for my needs on a single charge. Aside from this, I really cannot find anything to complain about here!

Can an owner of the original non active 65t comment on the fit and stability difference with the active version? Curious if that and the extra IP rating is worth a look, or negligible.

I have both. They fit exactly the same. The only difference between the two are the IP56 rating and the black rubberized finish on the Actives. The Actives also have motion sensors in them but you cannot feel any difference between the two. If you have $20 to spare, it is well worth buying the Actives over the Elites for peace of mind with extra water resistance and motion sensors.

The images for this product and description are for the regular non active 65t's. Not the active. According to Jabra's website the actives only come in blue/copper and have an IP rating of 65. Specifically... what is this product?

Obviously, if you read the description this is an exclusive colorway for BestBuy. This is evident by the "Only @ Best Buy" banner under the model number. They are exactly the same as the ones posted on the Jabra website with only the color/finish being different.

When answering phone calls, is it stereo or mono?

If you have both buds in and turned on, it will be stereo. You can use only the right one as a mono option.

Stay in touch with this 15.6-inch Samsung notebook computer. Its Bluetooth capability connects it to Bluetooth devices for wire-free convenience, and its built-in webcam facilitates video conferencing. This Samsung notebook computer has 12GB of DDR4 RAM and an Intel Core i7 processor for speed, and it has a 1TB hard drive to hold plenty of files.

Is the screen matte or glossy? I'd like to use it outside and in bright sun. My old HP laptop is so reflective that it is almost impossible to use outside! Hoping this one is better??

It is a glossy screen. It is highly reflective and can cause issues with outdoor use.

Why bother with the I7, when every review has the I5 running Chromium "ridiculously fast"? Ditto for RAM: Running small footprint apps instead of fully-fledged software begs the question, "What app needs 16GB?" The SSD upgrade I-get, but not for $700

You are ABSOLUTELY correct in your assessment. The only reason you would want to go to the i7 or 16GB is if you want to run Windows10 or Linux. As a Chromebook, the base model at $999 is OVERKILL for ChromeOS.

Does the GPS work if I’m out of my cellular network I drive in rural areas that sometimes has no network. Connectivity I have to rely solely on GPS satellites .

No, this uses your cell signal for some reason. Based on your scenario, pass on this.
