I remember Bob & Doug McKenzie from decades ago, they were funny. I thought I remembered this flick. This is not too funny. It really doesn't hold up, and is a bit to silly. Ruined my olden memories!
Nice premise, a deep tranced stoner is a CIA killing machine and gets brought out and into action. More than enough action here, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get revved up, and then never slows down! Red Lined all the way! recommended.
This is material predating the first release or so, so it has Allen Woody. Songs are a kind of jam thing, and as such succeed well. But nothing really stands out, and this is yet another one for the faithful only.
This release features all sixteen episodes from the sixth season of the AMC smash hit series The Walking Dead, following Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) attempts to lead the survival of humans amidst the zombie apocalypse in Alexandria, Virginia. Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, and Chandler Riggs co-star in the pulse-pounding season six, as more survivors are discovered and the viability of the Alexandria community comes into question.
Season 6 is still strong, but my main complaint about the series is too much walking, not enough dead. It hurts to see regulars killed off too. Some of the same situations need resolution, so they do not keep getting fooled the same ways over and over. Still good, but starting to show age here.
This release contains the complete first season of the Starz original horror comedy series Ash vs Evil Dead. A follow up to the Sam Raimi's Evil Dead film franchise, the series takes place thirty years after the events of the movies, and follows Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) once again at war with the Kandarian Demon after he accidentally unleashes the fury of the undead. The series co-stars Lucy Lawless, Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago, with Raimi serving as a show developer. All ten episodes of the series are included in this set, as well as bonus content and deleted scenes.
If you are familiar with "Evil Dead", this is more of the same. A short season series, there is enough evil demon action to keep things going, and Bruce Campbell does a great job. the season finale was real weak though, the only reason I cannot give it 5 stars. High expectations for season two!
The Beatles played the Bowl twice. Both could have been included here in their entirety but were not, which is kind of a burn, as they did 30 minute shows so there is a lot of space unused on the disc. that said, for 1964/1965, the fidelity, while not perfect, is still quite good for the day. Pretty much for the fanatic.
Well, how much rehashing of the same tracks do we need, and how many times will we be duped into buying the same stuff? This does, to be fair, have several un-issued performances and a couple really rare tracks. Still, nothing essential. Fanatics only.
I love Clapton, Cream is one of my fave bands of ever. On his own, he is incredibly lazy unless pushed by big names. This is not one of those nights. Material is well done in a journeyman fashion, just not a lot of excitement here. Just OK.
The franchise is starting to run out of steam. A definite letdown from #3, it still has enough good moments to make it a recommendation. But beware, it is slowing down.
