What has the promise to be a great action escape type flick, turns into a weak vampire flick. and it is near the end that the revelation occurs and just destroys the film for me. One to avoid.
I have followed Metallica forever, ever since the 2nd LP, and have it all. This is OK, but kind of forgettable. Nothing really sticks out on the studio material. The live material bristles with energy, but you have to get the deluxe version to get it. It doesn't offend, but doesn't excite much either. You need to be a fan to enjoy it, if you are not die hard, you may want to skip it.
This is even better than the first "Dead Rising"! Lots of action, great CGI, interesting new home made weapons, and plenty of non stop action! Great flick! A gem among zombie films!
While Seagal is on the cover, the star is Johnny Messner. he is OK, though if you get this for Seagal, he only has a few minutes, maybe 10 or 15 tops. and plays a villain. Future society dictator, this has enough action to satisfy most.
This is OK to add to the holiday fare, but will not top the Christmas Tree. Though to be fair, it is PG. Family fun, but most adults ill want to see some grittier stuff. OK, but do not expect too much.
Chan has been slipping a lot lately, dull movies with little action. This is almost different. Plenty of decent action, though with a slightly preachy edge that takes away from the total enjoyment just a little bit. Knoxville works well wit Chan, and this has fun spots in it. Just a little too moralistic at times.
Good action flick, and while the jacket shows JCVD prominently, he is not a major player. Alan Moussi is the star, and does a very good job. And Dave Bautista plays a great villain. Action is decent, and well done.
Nice twist, zombies on a high -peed train! It's a bit slow to start, but the beginning lays down important background plot and character lines. Once it gets going, it roars! South Korean, filmed well, kind of like "World War Z" in that the zombies are quick. A few sad later plot twists, but a mostly happy ending makes it a keeper.
A real surprise here, as a lot of Seagal's stuff these days, all direct to DVD, is either flat or concerns more with shooting than fighting. This is one of the rare recent releases (A Good Man", "Absolution") that is very good. This just misses a 5 star rating, with a nice end twist, and plenty of action. No disappointment here!
While there is some repetition on here from an older rare EP, most of this material will be new to fans. The band is tight and they rock hard, what more can you ask!
