The KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine offers lots of features in a sturdy, small package, plus great-tasting espresso and cappuccino. You can dispense single- or double-shot espresso just a few minutes after turning on the machine.
Unboxing is straightforward. The packaging is purpose-made, recyclable inserts in a recyclable retail box, which fits snugly in a recyclable shipping box. The espresso machine and water tank are assembled, and the milk frother attachment has its own inner box. All you need to do is "plug" the milk frother attachment into the side of the espresso maker. If you prefer to froth milk yourself or to dispense hot water for café Americano, tea, or cocoa, you can use one of the two steam wands in place of the milk frother attachment.
The KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Maker controls allow you to set the number of shots to dispense (1 or 2), adjust the water temperature, and froth milk (or dispense steam or hot water). The water tank is ample and easy to remove for filling. The machine comes with four different ground coffee inserts; single and double shot-capacity for both home-ground coffee beans and ground store-bought coffee. Choose the insert for your needs, fill it with coffee, and use the included tamper. Put this in the portafilter handle and attach it to the machine's brewing head. Press the button and start brewing.
My friend says the cappuccino from the KitchenAid Espresso Maker is on par with her much more expensive, much larger, fully automatic espresso maker.

The DELL USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER is a compact, well-designed, disk-shaped hub that sits flat on your desk and fits easily in your laptop bag. It plugs into your computer's USB-C port via a short, integrated USB-C cord. Turn the top of the disk in the direction of the arrow, and the cord comes out of storage. Turn in the opposite direction and the cord retracts.
The adapter offers seven ports to connect current and legacy devices:

I tested the DELL USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER (hub) with a late-model MacBook Pro. I used the hub as a pass-through power source, and the MacBook began charging quickly. I connected an external hard drive to the hub, and the MacBook recognized the drive immediately. I backed up the computer to the external hard drive, and the operation went smoothly and quickly, with no lags or delays.
The DELL USB-C MOBILE ADAPTER design, features, and functionality are superior to both a small strip-shaped hub I use on an older laptop and a purpose-built adapter that docks to the MacBook Pro. It is a great choice for anyone who works with two or three monitors with different adapters; for a small office or home office with wired and wireless devices; and for someone who travels with their laptop. I recommend the small investment in this Dell unit to anyone that needs to attach peripherals to a late-model laptop computer with a USB-C port.

The Shark Vertex DuoClean is a powerful cordless stick vacuum in a lightweight package. Use the vacuum to clean hard flooring or carpet, or detach the vacuum from the wand to use as a handheld vacuum. The Vertex comes with three handheld attachments; a crevice tool, a brush tool, and a surface duster.
The Shark Vertex Duo comes packed with recyclable materials instead of the usual plastic. It has removable yellow labels on different parts of the vacuum, pointing out features and how to use the vacuum.
The Vertex DuoClean includes updated features over the original Shark DuoClean model. This unit has a single, removable battery that lasts up to 60 minutes, vs. two, 30-minute batteries in the original model. It also has a new surface dusting tool addition to the expected crevice and brush tools. You can charge the battery while attached to the vacuum, or removed; on the original model, you could charge the battery only when removed from the vacuum. The roller brush has alternating fins designed to eliminate “hair wrap.” I have not had this vacuum long enough to verify this feature.
I used the Vertex on hard floors, an area rug, a rugged door mat, and upholstered patio furniture. It did a good job removing dirt, grit and pet hair from all of these surfaces.
The vacuum has a small footprint and folds easily for storage. Its blue and silver, updated design is attractive and functional. If you want a versatile, easy-to-use cordless vacuum, consider this one.

All settings were default except screen brightness was set to 150nits with Auto-Brightness disabled. Wi-Fi was connected to a network. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage and other factors.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is a powerful, full-featured laptop--a lightweight Windows 10 PC with a small footprint. At 1115 g (2 lbs, 7 1/4 oz) it features the latest Intel i5 chip, 8 Gb of memory, and a 256 GB solid state drive. It offers critical connection ports--one USB-A, one USB-C, and a headphone/mic port on the left side, but no HDMI port. It has a magnetic slot for the proprietary power adapter connection on the right side. The power adapter is small and lightweight. The Surface Laptop Go has a full-size keyboard with a good feel, and a large trackpad. A mouse is optional. All this is housed in an attractive metal case.
I set up the Surface in less than 30 minutes. Since this is a Windows 10 computer, you are advised to sign in with your Microsoft ID to get the most out of the system. You can choose what information is shared with Microsoft.
This Surface comes without software; some vendors bundle Microsoft Office and other programs with the Surface Laptop Go at a slight additional cost. When you install Office software, your documents integrate with your Microsoft cloud account, so you can access documents from different devices. I loaded several graphic and web design programs, my password manager software and browser extensions, and I was ready to go. Typical of Windows PCs, it took a while to load the programs. They worked well, without glitches, once loaded.
The Surface is fast, the keyboard is responsive, and the screen is bright, with fine resolution. At 12.4 inches, the screen is great for everyday office apps, Web browsing, streaming video and social media. When you start the laptop, the On/Off button also serves as a fingerprint reader, so you do not need a password to log in. The Surface has a touchscreen, which is intuitive to use, especially if you already own a tablet computer. The one drawback is that you cannot remove the keyboard or fold the screen back into tent or tablet configurations. You need a USB-C to HDMI connector (not included) to use an external monitor.
The battery lasts for several hours, depending on the type of software you use, and it generates a little heat, noticed under the top half of the keyboard. The machine is nearly silent in operation.
The USB-A port allows connection with "legacy" external hard drives, printers, etc. I inserted a USB receiver for a mouse, and the computer found it immediately, without the need to download mouse software. The USB-C port allows connection with newer hardware. You might invest in a USB-C mini-dock if you use several peripherals. The computer also recognized all the wireless printers on my network. I chose one and I was able to print within minutes.
All told, this Microsoft Surface Laptop Go has a lot of powerful features in a small package. It would work well for the typical office worker or student. Connected to an external monitor, it would be a good too for creatives.

The Epson WF-4820 all-in-one printer works well in a small office or home office. It packs a lot of features into a small footprint. The WF-4820 can print, copy, scan and fax. I am a Graphic Designer and printed a logo full-size both in black & white and in color. The black & white print was sharp and rich, without lines or spots. The color print was rendered perfectly, also sharp and in true colors. I used the Copy and Scan functions on a spiral-bound sketchbook with a colored composition book pattern. The copy was sharp and accurate both in black & white and in color. The scan was even sharper, and I easily created the scan file as a .PDF directly onto a USB stick. One feature that surprised me is that the scanner lid has a floating hinge. This allows you to place a thick document or book on the scanner, and the lid adjusts.
Unpacking was easy. The packing is well-designed, with the printer packed in a rugged plastic bag. Use the bag handles to lift the printer straight out of the box. Setup takes a few minutes to remove the many tape strips that protect the printer during shipment. Insert the included CMYK cartridges and wait for the printer to prime the ink. Then let the printer screen to guide you through the wireless setup. If you prefer, you can use an Ethernet or USB connection to your network or computer (cables not included).

The Bella Pro Series Capsule Coffee Maker and Milk Frother are the perfect size for single-serve coffee. The coffee maker is slim and easily fits beneath kitchen cabinets. Its detachable water tank is easy to fill and sits snugly at the back of the machine. Key parts of the coffee maker are metal—the lever where the Nespresso capsule is inserted, and the drip tray grate. The frother, also designed for single-serve, is cordless and sits on a powered base. I brewed a variety of coffee flavors/strengths to test the machine. I used the frother for espressos, and also to make beautiful foam for a roasted cacao beverage made in a French Press coffee pot.

The Logitech M190 wireless mouse is everything advertised--large enough to rest your hand, accurate single-line scrolling, no perceptible lag time, and quick setup right out of the box. I like that the mouse requires only one AA battery, and the tiny USB stick stores in the battery compartment when not in use. The battery should last 18 months. I found this optical mouse is quite responsive, though the click is louder than my other Logitech mice. I recommend this as a good value for a basic full-size mouse, however, I prefer one with additional buttons and features.

Well-designed, functional all-in-one oven

The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer is so well-designed, functional and easy to use that it could be your only oven, while also replacing a toaster and air fryer, if you live in a studio apartment. I tested this Breville oven making steak and cheese nachos, and it preheated much quicker than my wall oven; the nachos were cooked perfectly and evelnly in 5-6 minutes. It reheated take-out pizza flawlessly in just a few minutes and air-fried French Fries beautifully. I also made Teriyaki-glazed salmon, and it cooked perfectly even. I look forward to using this Breville Smart Oven regularly.

The LG Tone-Free ear pods are truly wireless, They are small, yet powerful. They come with an attractive case that is compact—just put it in your pocket, purse or backpack. The LG Tone-Free earbuds are easy to pair with your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. Open the Bluetooth settings on your device, and pair the earbuds. They come with a charging cable that you can plug into your computer or any USB 2/3 charger.
I have used these earbuds on a Zoom conference, and while playing games on my iPad. They are comfortable and block out much of the ambient noise. Touch the earbuds to turn on/off, to accept phone calls, and to play music. The sound is true and rich.

This Belkin - USB Type C-to-video and charger cable allows you to connect your laptop to a large monitor. I plugged in this dongle to a late-model Apple MacBook Pro, attached the video cable to my monitor, and it worked instantly. I also plugged in the Apple MacBook charger, and the laptop gained a 30% charge in about 30 minutes.
This cable (dongle) is sturdy, compact, and works well. It is great for working from home, and for connecting large-screen monitors, TVs or projectors for business or entertainment purposes. I would recommend it to others.

Do these eufy cam's have a limited duration for recording the event, like another brand that only records 12 seconds unless you pay for a subscription? Also, does eufy impose a minimum off-time between recording events, like 5 min minimum between events?
You can choose 30-second or 60-second recordings. I do not know what the “off time” is, though you can make changes in the app. There is no subscription fee for eufy.

It would really be nice to have a link to the manual. Only comes with one battery? What is the model of a spare battery and how much is it? No info on Shark site or anywhere. Strange for $350.
This model comes with a single, rechargeable battery that lasts up to 60 minutes (the original DuoClean had two batteries that lasted up to 30 minutes each. This model requires only the power adapter, meaning that you can charge the battery while inserted into the vacuum or removed from the vacuum. The battery is Model XSBT750, and is rated to last for two years. I do not know the cost of a spare battery.

How is this charged? If it has rechargeable batteries , can you use the older model of the cordless’s batteries?
The Vertex DuoClean comes with one rechargeable battery, which is different from the batteries on the original DuoClean model. The Vertex comes with a power adapter that you plug directly into the battery. Therefore, you can charge the battery while inserted into the vacuum, or removed from the vacuum.

What is the decibel level of this vacuum? Is it noisy or quiet?
I don’t know the decibel level, but this vacuum is relatively quiet.

I wish this had two batteries like the previous unit that I own and use currently. Is there a bundle option with a second battery somewhere?
This updated model has only one battery because the battery can last for up to 60 minutes. I have the original DuoClean model with two batteries; the two batteries each last less than 30 minutes. Maybe that’s why there is only one battery; I do not know if there is a two-battery bundle available.

Will it stand upright with no help?
If you try to stand this vacuum with the power head and battery, it is top-heavy. You can fold it and leave it upright without tipping over, or you can lean the power head on a counter or table if you need to leave it for a few minutes. I fold mine for storage, so it does not tip over.
