Beautifully designed heavy-duty hair straightener

The Dyson Corrale hair straightener is beautifully and thoughtfully designed like no hair straightener I have seen before. This hair straightener can be used cordless for 2-3 times when fully charged (depending on how long it takes to style your hair), and can be used with the charging cord attached. You can use the charger and cord alone, or with the charging dock, handy if you want to store the straightener on your counter. The cord has a clever magnetic attachment.
The Corralle comes in a beautiful midnight blue storage pouch and is loaded with safety features. Its design prevents you from burning your hands or face when using the straightener, plus a travel switch that prevents the appliance from heating when stored. Unlock the straightener, press the on button, and select one of the three heat settings. the unit heats in just a few seconds—no kidding! When done, press the on/off button and a light flashes until the unit is safely cooled. Set the travel switch if needed, lock it, and store it in its case or on he charging dock.
I live in a humid climate that is not kind to my coarse, wavy hair. I typically let my hair dry naturally and apply a protective hair product before using an electric straightener. I tried the Dyson appliance on three different days and used each of the three heat settings. I need the medium and height heat settings to style my hair with a slight curl on the ends. This straightener seems to let me style my hair faster than my usual straightener, with less total heat, possibly preventing long-term damage.
Pros: great design, precise temperature control, flexible straightening plates, safety features, heavy-duty charger and power cord, fast heating and faster than normal hair styling.
Cons: much heavier than the typical hair straightener, bulky and heavy charger, dock and cord are not the best if you want to travel light. Quite costly. I would rate this straightener a 5 if not for these two issues.

Adjustable, rugged docking stand has many features

The J5 Create Multi-Angle 4K Docking Stand is just what I needed. My everyday setup includes a 16-in MacBook Pro, a large external display, a graphics tablet, and sometimes a die cutting machine and a small light pad. I wanted to unclutter my desk, manage the cables for all of my devices, and use my MacBook's Web cam for Zoom meetings. Problems solved!
This Multi-Angle 4K Docking stand is rugged, adjustable, and attractive. Its rubber pads hold a tablet, medium- or large-sized laptop without slipping. You can adjust the height and viewing angle for video calls, to keep your device ventilated, and to save space on your desk.
Unboxing is simple. Remove the Docking Stand, plug the USB-C host cable into your computer, and plug the other end into the "host" port on the docking module. Plug in your peripherals and then set the "ports" module onto the slightly raised supports on the stand's base to keep the module in place.

Great Small Office/Home Office All-In-One Printer

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer is a great printer for small offices and home offices. The OfficeJet Pro 8034e allows wireless connections from a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. You can download the free HP app for your computer or mobile device through your app store (Android, iOS, Windows, or Mac).
Unboxing
The HP OfficeJet 8034e is easy to unbox. It comes with minimal packaging. Just open the carton and turn it on its side. Pull the handles on the clear plastic bag to slide the printer out of the carton, then remove the two end caps and you are ready to set up the printer.
Setup
The printer took 20-30 minutes to set up and test, including the app download and printer alignment test. This is the first printer I have used where you print the test page, then scan it on the flat bed to align the print heads.
Ink
The OfficeJet Pro 8034e Wireless All-In-One Printer uses four ink cartridges; starter cartridges are supplied. You are encouraged to join the HP Instant Ink program where HP ships you ink when your supplies are low. You can choose a plan based on the number of pages you print monthly. The printer I received provides me ink for the first year.
Printing, Scanning, and Copying
I tested the printer with email and graphic design programs. The printer is fast and prints fairly well. I can print borderless pages as needed. I tried the printer with 20 lb paper and with card stock. I set the paper type to thick plain paper, and the card stock did not jam. I noticed that on borderless prints with near 100% ink coverage, there is a faint white line near the bottom of the page.
I also tested the printer with fine art matte printer paper. I had good color results and beautiful details in my photos when I set Photoshop to allow the printer to manage colors.
The scanner accepts pages up to A4 size (a bit longer than US Letter size). You can scan to a computer or to a USB thumb drive. I scanned the printer alignment page and got good detail on the .PDF scanned version. I used the auto document feeder to make a copy, placing the original printed side up. The copy looked as good as the original. Both the scan and copy functions are fast.

The Simplisafe Home Security app was easy to find and download in the Apple iOS store. You need to register for an account and obtain an account recovery code. Then the app walks you through the system installation.

Logitech Lift for Mac
The Logitech Lift for Mac is a vertical ergonomic mouse with a form factor you have never seen before. Once you understand that the main mouse controls are essentially turned on their side, instead of on top of the mouse, it makes complete sense. The right and left buttons, scroll wheel, and cursor speed button are on the right side or "finger" side of the mouse (for the right-handed version) and two back and forward buttons for Internet navigation are on the left side or "thumb" side of the mouse.
The mouse has an optical sensor on its bottom, two switches, and a battery compartment cover. The switch towards the top of the mouse allows you to connect up to three different devices. In my case, that would be my MacBook and sometimes my iPad. The on-off button is in the middle. The battery compartment opens easily with a press, then slide it off to activate the battery by removing the protective plastic strip. The Logi Bolt receiver stores in a slot next to the battery. This is especially handy if you connect by Bluetooth; you do not need to use the Logi Bolt receiver.
What's in the box: the mouse, one AA battery, and a Logitech Bolt receiver. The mouse is made largely of recycled plastic and comes in eco-friendly cardboard packaging. It is heavy enough to have a good feel and glides easily on my desk or on a mouse pad. The Lift is designed as a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device, and a single AA battery should last for two years.
I was able to connect the Logitech Lift easily to my MacBook. I opened the Bluetooth window and it "saw" the new mouse. It took an hour or so to get proficient with the mouse buttons—not bad for a totally new design. I adjusted the cursor speed to my liking. The mouse feels good in my hand. The only drawback is its high profile compared to any other mouse I have used—I knocked into it a few times when reaching for other things on my desk.
This is a good mouse for Mac computers with the M1 or newer chips, where some of the older, non-Apple mice do not work properly. This mouse is designed for small to medium hands and comes in right-handed and left-handed models.

Sturdy, well-designed smartphone or tablet charger

The Insignia 30 Watt Compact wall charger is small, has folding electrical outlet prongs, and comes with a detachable USB-C charging cord. I got this charger as a spare and use it to charge my iPhone and my iPad. Since my devices have two different charging connections, I find it easy to change from the provided USB-A to USB -C cord to my USB-A to Lightning cord.
The Insignia 30 Watt Charger’s form factor is a bit larger than my OEM iPhone charger, and smaller than my iPad charger. It is an attractive white, as one would expect for Apple chargers. This charger is very portable and fits easily in a backpack, briefcase, or handbag.

I charged the Microphone's internal battery with the provided charging cord before use. Use the internal battery if you are moving or walking while taking your video. I attached the Joby Wavo Pro Shotgun Microphone to my Canon 80D DSLR and shot a couple of videos. If you have never used a mic, it has a bit of a learning curve. The Tineco Pure One X Dual Smart Cordless Stick Vacuum is lightweight, cordless, and powerful. It comes with two full-size power heads for hard floors and carpet, a smaller head perfect for stairs and furniture, and the typical non-powered vacuum tools--a crevice tool and a small brush.
What's in the box: The cordless vacuum, power heads, tools, filter assemblies, wand, and charging station. You can mount the charging station on the wall with the provided screws. Plug the charging station into an electric wall socket and hand the vacuum in the charging station for charging and storage.
The Tineco Cordless Vacuum is easy to assemble by following the images on the carton. It had enough battery power to work right out of the carton, but it is best to fully charge before first use.
I tried the vacuum on hard floors, medium-pile carpet, short area rugs, a sculptured door mat, and upholstered patio furniture. It worked well on the hard floors, short-pile area rugs, and the Sunbrella-upholstered patio furniture. I liked the performance of the small power head as a handheld vacuum on the carpeted stairs and the patio furniture. The large power heads worked well on the carpet and hard floors, but at times skipped and hopped on the carpet.

True wireless headphones live up to the JVC name

These JVC sport Bluetooth headphones are easy to set up. Just charge them in the included case before first use with the included USB cable. My Mac Bluetooth automatically found the headphones, so pairing was simple. The controls are easy to use, you can adjust the volume up or down on the left earbud and change tracks on the right earbud. Start or stop music by tapping on either earbud.
The JVC wireless sport earbuds allow you to choose from three different sound profiles, e.g., high bass for some types of music, or you can set the profile back to default settings. The sound is true and clear, and the headphones can filter out surrounding noise. I listened to a number of different types of music using a streaming service, and found these headphones great quality for their price.
These JVC sport earphones have an over-the-ear hook that makes them more secure during exercise and come with different sizes of silicone tips for a customized fit. The in-ear design is comfortable, though the hooks are not as adjustable. I was able to wear them with glasses at the same time.

The Logitech MX Mechanical Mini Compact Wireless Mechanical Keyboard offers full-sized keys, two typing angles, and a backlit keyboard. It has a rechargeable battery and comes with a USB 2.0/3.0 to USB C charging cord. This keyboard offers true wireless connections via Bluetooth or the Logitech Bolt USB connector; just plug the connector into your computer. You can type on the keyboard flat, or use the two fold-out legs for a more comfortable typing angle. You can use the Bluetooth connection for a tablet that lacks a USB 2/3 port. The keyboard is small and light enough to pop into a backpack and take on the road.
The keyboard was easy to set up. If needed, you can download a Logitech app from your app store. This is especially helpful if you have multiple Logitech peripherals like keyboard and mouse. I would like to see a place to store the Logitech Bolt USB connector in the keyboard when not in use; Logitech provides such storage space in its wireless mice.
I connected the MX Mechanical Mini to my MacBook Pro. I used it for my daily workflows--email, Adobe Creative Cloud graphic design software, calendar, messaging and more. The keyboard is marked for both Windows PCs and Macs. Since the Mac keys are in different locations than PC keys, the keyboard has dual markings, may be confusing or inconvenient.
It is a bit, well, mechanical and retro in feel. I am used to wireless keyboards with shorter key travel, that don't click like a mechanical keyboard. But this Logitech keyboard connects seamlessly and performs well!

Do these eufy cam's have a limited duration for recording the event, like another brand that only records 12 seconds unless you pay for a subscription? Also, does eufy impose a minimum off-time between recording events, like 5 min minimum between events?
You can choose 30-second or 60-second recordings. I do not know what the “off time” is, though you can make changes in the app. There is no subscription fee for eufy.

It would really be nice to have a link to the manual. Only comes with one battery? What is the model of a spare battery and how much is it? No info on Shark site or anywhere. Strange for $350.
This model comes with a single, rechargeable battery that lasts up to 60 minutes (the original DuoClean had two batteries that lasted up to 30 minutes each. This model requires only the power adapter, meaning that you can charge the battery while inserted into the vacuum or removed from the vacuum. The battery is Model XSBT750, and is rated to last for two years. I do not know the cost of a spare battery.

How is this charged? If it has rechargeable batteries , can you use the older model of the cordless’s batteries?
The Vertex DuoClean comes with one rechargeable battery, which is different from the batteries on the original DuoClean model. The Vertex comes with a power adapter that you plug directly into the battery. Therefore, you can charge the battery while inserted into the vacuum, or removed from the vacuum.

What is the decibel level of this vacuum? Is it noisy or quiet?
I don’t know the decibel level, but this vacuum is relatively quiet.

I wish this had two batteries like the previous unit that I own and use currently. Is there a bundle option with a second battery somewhere?
This updated model has only one battery because the battery can last for up to 60 minutes. I have the original DuoClean model with two batteries; the two batteries each last less than 30 minutes. Maybe that’s why there is only one battery; I do not know if there is a two-battery bundle available.

Will it stand upright with no help?
If you try to stand this vacuum with the power head and battery, it is top-heavy. You can fold it and leave it upright without tipping over, or you can lean the power head on a counter or table if you need to leave it for a few minutes. I fold mine for storage, so it does not tip over.
