Solid option if you game on multiple devices
on August 9, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
PROS:
- Great audio quality (especially with USB)
- Great mic quality
- Move mic upwards to mute
- Comfortable
- Decent sound isolation
- Metal adjustment band
- Ear cups swivel inwards for storage
CONS:
- You might prefer a detachable mic
== SETUP ==
While I would recommend downloading and using Corsair's iCUE software (customizable EQ) if you're using this on a PC, it's not required at all. It's one of the best things about this headset: just plug it into whatever device (PS4 controller, phone, tablet, Switch, PC, etc) and you're good to go!
I love using this headset with my PS4 and Switch, but you'll get the most out of it if you're using the USB adapter. The adapter is how you'll be able to take advantage of Dolby Audio.
== AUDIO QUALITY ==
Music audio quality of gaming-headset has GREATLY improved over the years, and while I would still prefer a non-gaming pair of headphones for music, I'm quite impressed with the HS55. In-game audio and music sounds really good, even when I'm using the 3.5mm connector with my PS4 or Switch.
Part of what makes the audio really good is the natural noise isolation. While previous wired headsets had (very) comfortable and breathable fabric mesh ear-cups, the HS55 goes with the "fake leather"-like material that does a great job of blocking out a lot of external noises. The material will make your ears warmer, so just be warned if you have warm ears or play for long periods of time (especially in the summer).
If you want to take advantage of the Dolby Audio 7.1 "Surround Sound", you'll need to use the USB adapter with your PC. I would also recommend that you download Corsair's iCUE software. iCUE will let you set your own preferences with a customizable EQ, or you can use their own profiles.
== MIC QUALITY ==
I don't have any complaints about the mic quality. The HS55 isn't Corsair's top-tier headset, so I wasn't expecting broadcaster-quality sound. Everyone in chat said I my voice was clear with no issues (both with the 3.5mm connector AND the USB adapter).
The mic arm is bendable, so you can position the mic at your preferred distance/position from your mouth. The mic is NOT detachable (which could be a deal-breaker for you), but it does flip upwards when you don't want the mic in front of your face.
Flipping up the mic also has another important feature: muting the mic. There's no need for a button, or to use a software mute button. Just flip the mic up, there will be a physical "bump" feedback, and the mic will be muted.
== DURABILITY ==
I love that Corsair changed up the design from their previous HS45 and now the ear-cups can fold inward to make the headset more compact for storage and travel.
Unlike the previous HS45, the HS55 ear-cups are using a non-breathable material that's very similar to "fake leather". This is great for noise isolation and cleaning, but you may find your ears to be much warmer.
Unlike some other budget gaming headsets, Corsair did NOT cheap out and go with a plastic adjustment band. The HS55 has a metal adjustment band, which is also black to match my black headset (I don't know what color it would be on the white HS55, but I'm guessing unpainted silver).
== FINAL THOUGHTS ==
Wireless headsets have their advantages, but I really love the simplicity of not worrying about if my headset has enough of a charge, especially if I'm switching between playing on my PS4, Switch, and PC.
The build quality is decent, I love that I can just flip up the mic to mute it, and that the ear-cups finally swivel inwards for improved storage/portability.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent "set-and-forget" security camera system
on July 29, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
PROS:
* No service subscription!
* PoE
* 2-way speaker on each camera
* Easy to setup NVR
* Access cameras with mobile app
* Easy to replace HDD
CONS:
* You may need to hire someone for installation
== SETUP ==
The most challenging part of setting this up is the camera placement and running the cables to the NVR (which needs to be next to your router). This really depends on your home/building and if you feel comfortable doing the install yourself. Swann does include an installation card, which will help guide you to setup an appointment and work out the costs to have a profession come out to setup the cameras and run the cables.
For the NVR, it couldn't be easier. You just need to go through a couple menu prompts to set the admin account for the device, date/time formatting, NVR name, and video encoding format. The front of the NVR has two USB ports, which are used for transferring footage from the NVR to an external drive or thumb-drive.
You'll also need to create a Swann account (if you don't already have one) in the mobile app. Once you're logged in, you just need to use your phone's camera to scan a QR code on the NVR display to link it to your account. Then you're done! Now you can access your footage from either the NVR or the mobile app.
== PERFORMANCE ==
Footage looks great, even at night! The audio recording isn't amazing, but I appreciate that it's there. Facial recognition, person/vehicle detection, and thermal sensors are nice options, but the range is only good for UP TO 32 feet. So, again, your building layout and where you're placing the cameras really matters.
Each camera is equipped with two (really bright) spotlights. These are great for acting as a deterrence or helping you get to the door safely at night.
Swann states that the cameras are IP66 rated, with an operating temperature between -22F to 131F, but I'll have to wait a few months to see how they hold up to a Minnesota winter...
The NVR storage comes with a 2TB Seagate HDD, which is user-replaceable (just six screws to open up the NVR). I appreciate that Swann made it easy to access and replace should it ever fail. I'm not worried about the storage capacity, since the NVR will record over the oldest footage once the drive is full. If you want to keep all your footage, you'll either need to connect an external storage device to transfer the footage, or use a cloud back-up (which will require a subscription).
== FINAL THOUGHTS ==
I'm really happy with my new setup. Once the cameras were installed and the wiring was sorted out, I don't need to worry about anything. Unless I want to save a particular event, I don't even need to interact with the NVR.
If you're considering getting a wired security camera system, this is a solid option!

Worth it for your WFH office!
on July 28, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
PROS:
* Excellent build quality
* High weight capacity
* Lumbar support
* Seat depth adjustment
* Arm height AND angle adjustment
* Comfortable after several hours
CONS:
* Heavy
* Arm angle adjusts too easily
== SETUP ==
The box that this chair arrives in is both large AND heavy, so moving and assembly may be a two-person job.
That said, it couldn’t be easier to assemble. There are no assembly instructions (at least not in my box), but the chair arrives in 3 separate pieces: the base, the lift cylinder, and the main chair “body”.
I put the chair together by myself, and found that it was easiest to assemble by placing the chair body on its backside, attach the lift cylinder to the base, attach the cylinder and base to the underside of the chair body, and then carefully tilt the chair upright. If you have another person to help, I would just start with the base, attach the cylinder, and then place the chair body on top of the cylinder (with your helper guiding the chair body into position).
== BUILD QUALITY ==
Up until this point, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a desk chair that has survived more than three years. Of course, I usually buy cheap chairs, so I know to keep my expectations low. This Steelcase chair on the other hand, I would be *SHOCKED* if I’m not using 10 years from now.
Every part of this chair feels very sturdy and built to last. The rollers are solid and have two different textures on the wheels, the armrests are comfortable, the adjustable lumbar support is AMAZING, and the seat cushion (with adjustable positioning) is firm but comfy, even after several hours of sitting.
The only component that I could see failing at some point is the lift cylinder, but it is very easy to access if you ever need to replace it.
== FINAL THOUGHTS ==
If I had to complain about anything, it would be that it’s a very heavy chair (which is really only an issue when you first get it) and that the armrests can adjust their angle *too* easily (I keep hitting them with my elbow and changing their angle).
When going through what I need for a home office (desk, ergo mouse and keyboard, laptop vs desktop, monitor, etc.), I didn’t put too much thought into the chair. After going from something cheap that “will do”, to this Steelcase chair, I HIGHLY recommend trying it out at your local Best Buy if you can. How many hours a week are you sitting at your desk? Shouldn’t you be comfortable while working?

Amazing alternative to a phone!
on July 23, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
PROS:
* Location-based notifications
* "School mode"
* No web browser
* No games
* Easy to use
* Block calls/texts from unknown numbers
* Parent app to customize all features
CONS:
* Proprietary watch bands
== SETUP ==
Setting up the Spacetalk Adventurer is as simple as setting any other smartwatch. After installing the SIM card (I'm using T-Mobile) and powering on the watch, you'll go through the setup process in the parent app and will need to take a picture of a QR code that will be displayed on watch.
Once paired, you will be able to customize the profile for your child. Just about anything you can think of, you have access to in the app.
== SPACETALK APP ==
If I had to describe the app in a single word, it would be: amazing. The app gives you full control of the watch and helps you customize just about anything you can think of. The app is also how you can message your child (this is separate from text messaging). The major features that you can control are:
- Contact list: your child will only be able to call/message people that YOU add through the app. Any of the contacts that you add can also be flagged as emergency contacts in the watch. You can also block any calls/texts from any number that isn't in your contact list.
- Safe Zones: these are locations that your child frequents (home, school, church, relatives, etc) that you can add into the app. For example, I have my son's school added. You can set leave/arrive times, so if your kid doesn't arrive/leave at certain times, you'll receive a notification.
- School Mode: while I love that I know where my child is and that they can message/call me whenever they need to, the watch could become quite distracting in class. Spacetalk lets you setup "school mode", which will disable several features (camera, alarms, calculator, weather, etc) during certain hours and days.
- Fitness: just like any good smartwatch, the Spacewalk Adventurer helps track heart-rate and step count. It may not be as important as the other features, but my son still thinks it's neat to see how well he's doing and even tries to compete with this friends.
== BOTTOM LINE ==
If you're considering getting your child a phone, but still don't think they're old enough for one just yet, this is an AMAZING alternative. There's no internet, no social media access, and no games. It's a smartwatch that can make and receive calls+messages, with great features any parent will appreciate. My only real complaint is that the watch bands are proprietary and Spacetalk's website only sells silicone bands.

The best display on a Windows laptop!
on June 12, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
PROS:
* Amazing color accurate display
* Powerful CPU
* New Intel Arc GPU
* Huge battery
* 2-in-1 design
* Thunderbolt 4
* Great keyboard
* Disable camera and mic buttons
* Premium build quality
CONS:
* HDMI 2.0b instead of 2.1
== The Display ==
There's so many great things about the Zenbook Flip, but the real star of the show is the display. A bright, color-accurate OLED with 120Hz refresh rate. What more could you want?
This may be one of the best Windows laptops if you do any photo or video editing, or if you enjoy light gaming and really love OLED displays. The 120Hz refresh rate is advertised for gaming on ASUS's website, but you'll love it even if you're just scrolling through webpages.
The display gets quite bright and the colors are amazing. The display, paired with the brand-new Intel Arc A370M, makes this an amazing portable creation machine. Depending on the work you're doing, you can even adjust the color gamut using the included MyASUS app.
== Performance ==
If I had to summarize this laptop's performance, it would be: amazing! I have a mid-range gaming desktop that I put together in early 2020, it's nothing to brag about, but it has a decent 6-core CPU that I used for any of my more heavy workloads (usually in Unity or Android Studio). This Zenbook just puts my desktop to shame (check out my 3DMark screenshots). The 12th gen i7 is just incredible, I still can't believe how much of a difference Intel was able to bring to mobile processors since the previous generation.
As far as the GPU, it's quite decent and will provide an enjoyable experience with some light gaming and video editing. I really like that I can use the Zenbook for most of my work in Unity, while using such a thin non-gaming laptop.
I've seen some people claim that the Intel Arc A370M is comparable to an RTX 3050 (mobile), but I'm not seeing those numbers. It could be that since Intel GPUs are so new that future driver updates will see better improvement, but for now I would still recommend buying an actual "gaming" laptop if that's your primary focus for a new computer. That's not to say you can't game on this (you can and it's really good after you tweak the game settings), but the A370M isn't Intel's most powerful mobile GPU (more are on the way).
== Battery Life ==
This Zenbook has a MASSIVE 96WHr battery (100WHr is the limit for airlines), so ASUS is doing everything to help let you get a full workday in without being connected to a wall outlet. There's just one problem with this plan: the display.
If you want to maximize your time away from the outlet, you're going to need to make some sacrifices in performance. Specifically, I found that I'll need to lower the display brightness and refresh rate.
Since everyone has a different workload, it's hard to really say how long you can get work done while on battery power. As a simple, repeatable test of the battery I ran a YouTube video playback test. I had the screen brightness set to 60%, set the laptop to "best battery performance", and turned off Bluetooth. After a little over 8 hours, the laptop still had about 16% battery left (see screenshot).
== Bottom Line ==
This is hands-down the best Windows laptop I have ever used. It looks amazing AND has the performance to match. The Intel i7-12700H is more powerful than my desktop CPU, so I'm tempted to just buy a GPU enclosure (since the Zenbook has two Thunderbolt 4 ports) and sell/donate my desktop PC.
If you're looking for a laptop for serious work (photo/video editing or working in Unity/Unreal), but don't want to buy a thick and bulky gaming laptop, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out this new Zenbook the next time you're in Best Buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basic fitness tracker that can show text messages
on March 6, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
from Saint Paul, MN
PROS:
* Long battery life
* Blood oxygen sensor
* Sleep tracking
* Good display
* Water resistant
CONS:
* Subscription required
* Only text notifications
* No menstrual tracking
* No speaker
* No GPS
* VERY reliant on app
== SETUP ==
Shouldn't come as a surprise, but in order to setup the Halo View, you NEED to have an Amazon account. If you don't like Amazon, I'm not sure why you're even bothering to read this. The setup is pretty easy and simple: just install the app on your phone, log in to your Amazon account, and follow along in the video guide.
You have an option during the setup (and can always come back to it later) to use a new Amazon feature that will use your weight and multiple pictures of your body to help with tracking your BMI. This feels super creepy to me, and while Amazon claims the photos are deleted, I'm not going use this "feature".
You also receive a free year of Amazon's Halo membership, which is required to use the Halo View. Halo has a lot of good stuff, primarily the various workouts offered, but it will be up to you to decide if it's worth it after your first year.
== METRICS ==
This is a very simple and basic fitness tracker with minimal smartwatch features, I think it would make a great "first" fitness band. It keeps track of all the basics: step count, workout duration, heart-rate, sleep tracking, and can even measure your blood oxygen.
One issue with some of the tracking is that everything is done in the app. For example, there is no GPS on the band itself, so you NEED to have your phone with you if you want/need GPS tracking. The band itself is nice and simple, but all of the heavy lifting is done in the app.
Unlike other fitness bands, the Halo View does not support menstrual tracking. This may not be a deal-breaker for some, but it feels really odd to not be supported when so many older fitness bands could do this YEARS ago.
== NON-FITNESS USAGE ==
The Halo View is a "fitness first" device, but does support some smartwatch features, such as being able to view text messages. The problem is that you can't respond from the Halo View, and it's only text messages that you can receive (no emails or other app notifications).
It doesn't have a microphone or speaker, so there's no way to use it for calls.
The only other non-fitness related feature that you can use is alarms. I prefer my watch buzzing to wake me up over a ringtone, so that's nice to have.
== BATTERY LIFE ==
Amazon claims that you can get up to a week on a single charge. This is really going to depend on how you're using the Halo View, but I was able to go a full week. If I had to guess, Amazon is able to get such impressive battery life out of the Halo View by making the app do all the work.
== BOTTOM LINE ==
This is a bit of a mixed bag. There are plenty of things that I like about the Halo View (the battery life is a HUGE perk), but there's also plenty of things I dislike about it too (text message only notifications and very reliant on the app).
I would recommend this to anyone looking to try their first fitness tracking band, but if you need smartwatch features beyond text notifications, I would pass on it.

I can't go back to a normal controller now
on January 30, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
from Saint Paul, MN
PROS:
- Excellent force feedback
- Customizable options
- Adjustable peddle heights
- Adjustable brake resistance
- Helpful dashboard display
- Works with your PS4/5 and PC
CONS:
- Slides around hardwood floor
- Shift paddles are really loud
- Limited amount of supported games
-- SETUP --
I would HIGHLY recommend using this with a racing wheel stand, Thrustmaster has the mount placement to let you use this with almost any universal stand on the market. I recommend a stand due to how much the pedal base slides around my hardwood floor (even with the rubber pads Thrustmaster includes). When on carpet, the rubber pads work well enough, so this really depends on where you plan on playing.
Once you connect and power on the T248, you'll want to use the left menu button to select which system you're connected to. You just cycle between PS4, PS5, and PC. When connected to my PS4, the system would flat-out ignore the T248 until I selected the system on the wheel. It WILL NOT automatically detect what system it's connected to.
-- PLAYING GAMES --
Unfortunately, you can't use the T248 with ANY racing game at the moment. Thrustmaster's website has a list of all games that are supported, and they're adding more games over time. If you're a big F1 fan, then you're in luck!
When you are playing a supported title, such as Dirt 5, it's going to be almost impossible to go back to using a standard controller again. The level of immersion you gain from the force feedback is insane. If you have a VR headset, you'll LOVE adding the T248 to your system.
The force feedback is really impressively powerful, so much so, that I'm curious to see how well the T248 holds up over time. I'm a little worried that it's going to rumble/vibrate itself to death at some point in the future.
-- FINAL THOUGHTS --
I really love the T248, it takes playing racing games to a whole new level. I DARE you to use this and NOT smile.
It's not perfect though: I really wish the rubber pads did a better job of keeping the pedal base in one spot on hardwood floors, the paddle shifters are really loud, and I need to wait for some of my favorite racing games to be supported at a later date. All of those are solved by using a racing wheel stand (easy enough to find online), a good pair of headphones, and a little patience while the list of supported games grows over time.

Solid Option for a Wired Gaming Mouse
on January 18, 2022
Posted by: Daniel
from Saint Paul, MN
PROS:
* Wired connection
* Customizable weight
* Ridiculous DPI (26,000)
* Customizable buttons
* Onboard button profiles
* Long, braided cable
* RGB!
CONS:
* Not great for big hands
* Collects skin oil quickly
== SETUP ==
For whatever reason, I was having issues with Corsair's iCue software picking up the M65 when I was connecting it to the USB port on my keyboard (which is also made by Corsair). While I was able to use the mouse just fine without iCue, I had to connect the mouse directly to my PC before I could use iCue to fine-tune the mouse.
== USING iCUE ==
Corsair's iCue is almost a requirement to really get the most out of the M65. From iCue, you can select what each button will do, assign multiple profiles, adjust the DPI, and change the RGB color/pattern.
The best part? You can use the M65's onboard storage for all of the profiles you create. This means you can connect the M65 to any other computer and your profiles are ready to use, regardless of if that computer has iCue installed on it or not. This is fantastic if you have a gaming laptop AND desktop.
== BUILD/DESIGN ==
The M65 is not a very large gaming mouse. I have large hands, so it took a little time to adjust to the smaller size and find a comfortable position to use the mouse. If you have larger hands, I recommend trying out the M65 at your local Best Buy before buying.
To expand on customizing the M65 to your liking, Corsair has designed it to have three removable weights, so you can make the M65 as light or as heavy as you prefer. You may need a coin or screwdriver to remove/add the weights.
The cable is long (1.8m) and is braided, so it won't catch on your desk or mouse pad/mat. There's an included rubber cable tie, which is great to keeping your desk space nice and tidy.
My only real complaint with the build quality is that the plastic seems to collect oil from my hand VERY easily. The mouse is easy to clean with a microfiber cloth though.
== BOTTOM LINE ==
Wireless mice are nice and convenient, until the battery dies in the middle of a match. The M65 isn't a very large mouse, so it's great to toss in your backpack. The customizable buttons really help make this YOUR mouse. This is a solid option when looking for a wired gaming mouse.

What do you look for in the perfect smart bottle? Hydration reminders? UV Sterilization? A temperature sensor? The NOERDEN LIZ has it all and more. All of the tech is found in its touch activated smart lid, which houses the UV-C light, temperature sensor, and LEDs. Extra help to meet your hydration goals
on December 27, 2021
Posted by: Daniel
from Saint Paul, MN
PROS:
- Keep water cold for up to 24 hours
- UV sterilization
- 2 hour reminder to drink more water
- No app required
- Bottle is dishwasher safe (cap is no though)
CONS:
- Magnet for charger isn’t very strong
== SETUP ==
Unlike so many other smart fitness accessories, you don’t need an app to install on your phone to setup/use with the device. While Noerden DOES have a fitness app, you don’t need it for this smart bottle. All you need to do is charge the cap for the first time and you’re good to go. There’s a QR code to scan to access the quick-access user guide, which just lets you know how to use the UV feature, what the cap colors mean, and how to turn the cap on/off (long press to turn on/off).
== DAILY USE ==
The bottle doesn’t have Bluetooth, so you don’t need to pair it with an app. How it reminds you drink without notifications? The cap will blink blue if two hours have passed since you last closed the cap (but only if you power on the cap first). In the morning I will just turn on the bottle to use throughout the day, and turn it off before bed.
The battery life is advertised as up to a month (with using the UV feature once a day), so I haven’t had the bottle long enough to see how accurate the battery life claim is.
My only complaint about the bottle is the charger. It’s a magnetic charger that connects at the top of the bottle cap, but the magnet isn’t very strong, so if you bump the bottle while it’s charging, it’s very likely that the charging will stop until you re-adjust the charger.
== BOTTOM LINE ==
I really love how long water stays cold in this bottle, but what I love the most is that the bottle will help remind me to drink more often. It’s easy to get distracted throughout a work day and forget to stay on a hydration goal, so it’s nice to have a simple reminder. It’s weird to say that I need to “charge my water bottle”, but I’ll get used to it.

Solid option for any home office
on December 9, 2021
Posted by: Daniel
from Saint Paul, MN
PROS:
- Large display (great for split screen)
- SUPER narrow bezels
- IPS panel
- 75Hz refresh rate
- 6.5ms response time
- HDMI cable included
- Compact stand with cable management clip

CONS:
- No adjustable height

== SETUP ==
Setting up the monitor is super easy, even with its large display size. You have the option to use the included stand or you can use a wall/arm mount, since the monitor is VESA mount capable. If you use the included stand, you'll just need a Phillips head screwdriver for assembly (one screw to attach the stand base and stand together, and four screws to secure the stand to the monitor). There's even a little plastic clip to attach to the monitor stand to help with cable management.
For connecting to a computer/laptop, you have a choice between HDMI and VGA. Element does include an HDMI cable in the box, so there's no need to buy an additional cable if your laptop/desktop has an HDMI port.
== DAILY USAGE ==
Out of the box, Windows has the monitor at a default setting of 60Hz. If you want to take advantage of the higher refresh rate, you'll need to go into your display settings to manually set it to 75Hz (see screenshot).
Color accuracy looks great and the display is bright enough for my needs, but if you are working near a window, the 250 nits of brightness might be an issue on a very sunny day. I don't have a color calibration tool, but colors look bright and crisp to me.
This isn't advertised at a gaming monitor, but you can certainly use it for an older gaming system (or budget gaming laptop) that won't be limited by 75Hz. This is an excellent display for a home office (what I'm using it for). The large display is great when multitasking and using split screen when going back and forth between two apps.
If you want to go with a dual-display setup, the IPS panel is great to help ensure everything looks great at any viewing angle.
My only complaint about this monitor is that there's no adjustable height with the stand. This means that depending on your height+desk+chair, you'll want to place this on a riser at your desk. If you're using a wall or desk arm mount, this isn't an issue.
== BOTTOM LINE ==
If you're setting up a home office, or want to add an external display to your laptop, this is a great option to consider. The large display is great for split screen multitasking and the bezels are almost non-existent.

What is the desktop resolution and refresh rate?

It's a 1080p panel and you can set the refresh rate to 75Hz if you're using an HDMI cable.

How does this connect to the internet? Can I stream videos on it when I'm somewhere without a WiFi connection?

During the initial setup with your smartphone, you choose what network to connect the Quest to. After setup, you can access multiple TV apps, including Netflix and Sling TV. If an app isn't available, you can also use the Oculus web browser.

Hi, I have your Oculus Quest. I am very happy with the product but I cant cast beat saber to my tv. Very disappointing!! I am thinking maybe I should return this item for a pspro/vr. Any thoughts? Also,does the Oculus Quest cast sound to your tv? Thanks

How are you casting to your TV, and is it only Beat Saber that can't cast?

I've read that you should be able to cast to any TV with a Google Chromecast, but since I don't have one (yet), I haven't been able to test this out myself.

There's no need for any other speakers. Just power the Bit speaker on, pair it with your phone, and listen to your music or make calls through the speaker.

Do you have to hook these speakers up to your laptop with a cord or are they completely controlled by the laptop?

It's a bluetooth speaker, there's no need for it to be physically connected to anything to play music or make calls. The only time you would plug this into your computer would be to charge it.

Energize your workout routine with these Sony wireless sports headphones. Their built-in LDAC enhanced codec support and Bluetooth connectivity let you stream high-quality audio content for an enhanced listening experience while you’re on the move. The included cable adjuster and clip help ensure these Sony wireless sports headphones stay in place.

Do these come with a charger?

They come with a USB to micro USB cable (just like the cable for most Android phones), but no charging "brick" to plug into an outlet. You'll need to connect them to a computer or have a USB outlet to charge them.

Bring the power of Google directly to your fingertips with the Google Pixel. A large 32GB of storage keep data secure, while unlimited cloud storage transfers data as needed, and it's completely automatic. The large 5-inch screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to ensure the Google Pixel remains scratch-free.

If I have T-Mobile, will this phone work with it, or is it just for Verizon?

The phone is not SIM locked, you can use it on T-Mobile.

Verizon Wireless does not lock their 4G phones:

http://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/device-unlocking-policy

The Pixel from Verizon Wireless does ship with the bootloader locked though. This just means you can't flash a custom ROM on the phone.
