Must have title for the Playstation MOVE

I purchased SOCOM 4 more for the MOVE support than the game itself. I was pleasently surprised at how well the game works with the MOVE and how good the game turned out to be. I'm playing it with the PS3 shooter accessory and it works very well. I have to admit, it was kind of awkward at first and I felt really stupid holding a gun with a big colored ball on the end of it but after giving it a chance, I was amazed at how satisfying the experience was.
The game itself may not have a story as clever as some of the other shooters but it's not that bad. The ememy AI is as good as anything I've played and some elements remind me of Metal Gear Solid 4. (great game) If you're looking for something different to play, this is a great choice.
What's great about it: MOVE support...especially with the PS3 Shooter accessory.
What's not so great: Can be difficult at times

MOVE owners should have this

For those of you that don't know, this isn't just a device that holds your MOVE controller. The controller plugs into this device and becomes an extenstion of the MOVE experience. I played The Shoot with it and was amazed at how easy it was to aim/fire. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it for anyone that likes to play the shooter games. I'm looking forward to using it with SOCOM 4 next week. The only thing I can think of that might not be so great is the price. $40 seems high for an accessory....maybe not such a bad price if they bundle it with a game? But remember, you get what you pay for. Other devices are between $20-$30 and all they do is hold the MOVE controller. This one is definitely worth the extra $10-$15 you'll pay.
What's great about it: Very responsive, feels well built, extension of the MOVE controller.
What's not so great: Price...most expensive shooter accessory for the MOVE.

In a league of it's own

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I actually own the Wii, MOVE, and Kinect. All 3 devices have their pros and cons but the Kinect is by far the most impressive. A few months ago I was blown away by the MOVE and mistakenly thought the folks at Microsoft couldn't possibly compete with it. But it only took a few minutes of playing Kinect Adventure to realize just how good the Kinect is. I still can't believe how accurate it is and how it's able to use your entire body as the controller. Whether your moving side to side or jumping and ducking to avoid things, the Kinect captures all of it with great precision, speed and accruacy. And unlike the Wii, you have to get off the couch to get in the game. A simple flick of the wrist even to play table tennis won't work. But that's what makes the Kinect so amazing. The MOVE is good but only for games where precision is key. Table tennis for the MOVE is better because of the way it senses the paddle's movement. You won't get that kind of accuracy using the Kinect but not a log of games demand that kind of accuracy. Another great comparison is beach volleyball. The MOVE feels scripted. In other words, you hold your controllers in various positions to perform the different moves. (serve, spike, dig, hit) But with the Kinect, it's more like a game of volleyball. You have to jump, swing your arms, and move around the court. And best of all, you'll wake up sore the next day just like you played volleyball for hours.
As for the price, most reviews I read talk about Kinect's expensive price tag. I purchased both the MOVE and the Kinect this year and I can say the Kinect is a far better value than the MOVE. With the Kinect, you only need the one device. ($150) But with the MOVE, the initial bundle is $99 but it only comes with one controller. Some of the games require two MOVE controllers ($50 per contoller) and that's if your freinds don't play. For the new fighting game or some of the Sports Champion games, two controllers per person are required/recommended. By my calculation, that's $99 for the bundle and an additional $150 for the 3 other controllers. ($250 total) And I won't even mention the other MOVE stick controller I purchased to play resident evil. (another $40) Don't believe any of the negative reviews about the price, it's far cheaper than the MOVE unless you only intend to play single player games using only one MOVE controller. (right)
Whatever you do, don't judge the Kinect based on reviews alone. If you own a 360 you need to experience the Kinect in person. It's unlike anything you've ever played before and it's a great value for the price.
What's great about it: Price (read my review), Incredible technology, Great Workout
What's not so great: Space required to play, you'll wake up sore the next day...

Learn more about Kinect Sports. (Flash demo) Jump into the court, charge into the stadium and climb into the ring — there's a major sports competition going on, and you're at the center of the action. When the volleyball rockets through the air toward the edge of the boundary line, dive toward the ground, scoop your arms down and bump it up for your teammate to spike with all of her might. When you hear your opponent breathing down your neck, step it up and jump even faster over hurdles. When you sense a weak moment in the boxing ring, jab your rival in the stomach and watch him fall to the ground. You have the power to win — it's been in your body all along. The real all-stars of sports don't use buttons or joysticks on the paths to victory — so why should you? Leave your controller in the locker room and step out into the competition with the best tool you have — yourself. In Kinect Sports, real athletic action springs to life in your living room, and it's all controlled with the motions you make. Revolutionary motion-sensing technology recognizes you as you power through six intense sports, making you a true athletic champion. Whether you play on your own or on a team, Kinect Sports will test your limits and bring you glory — if you can handle the action.

Great choice for the Kinect

Unlike the Wii, you can't sit on the couch and play this game. So if you have a problem with getting up and going through the motions, this game isn't for you. But if you want to run, punch, and jump your way to victory, you're going to like this game. The track and field is great. It's similar to the 80's arcade game Track and Field except you have to run in place and jump or throw before you reach the foul line. (lot of fun) Bowling is just as good as either of the MOVE versions and beach volleyball is a little better. The Kinect feels more like you are playing volleyball than the MOVE's version. To Sony's credit, the MOVE table tennis is better because of the control over the paddle. But this version of table tennis is better than the Wii and a lot of fun. Overall I think this is a great game and well worth the asking price. Like Wii sports or Sports Champions, this isn't a game you will find yourself playing daily. But it's the perfect game to pull out when you have a few freinds over.
What's great about it: Track and Field events, great workout, Kinect action photos, multiplayer with one controller
What's not so great: Hand gesture navigation is slow...need voice command.

I purchased these to play in my Zune HD. I really liked the price and comfortable fit but couldn't get past the terrible sound quality. For whatever reason, it sounds like there's no bass?
What's great about it: Price, comfort

Not as bad as they say

For anyone considering this game, it's not half as bad as some of the reviews I've read. Yes, it could have been better if 2k sports would have tested it before they released it. But the occasional bugs add to the game the same way an umpire in real life adds to a MLB game. Besides, most of the reported bugs don't have anything to do with the game's outcome. These are bugs such as the manager dissapearing when he's obviously trying to walk to the pitcher's mound. It's kind of funny?
What's great about it: Graphics, controls, Live roster update, the price
What's not so great: occasional bugs, fielding is kind of difficult

Wheels ?????

Which wheel/pedal combo should i buy?
None. You'll end up using the controller so don't bother getting a steering wheel for the PS3.
