Almost as good as last year's Kinect Sports

I'm a huge fan of Kinect games and couldn't wait for this title to hit the store shelves. I still think the original Kinect Sports is the best Kinect game to date but this one isn't far behind. Having played both, this version seems like it was designed for the less active player. I can play this for hours and not feel the same soreness as the first title. In fact, I feel more pain playing Child of Eden and Gunstringer than I do playing this game. But not waking up sore isn't necessarily a bad thing. Football, darts, golf, and skiing are all excellent. Baseball and tennis are less responsive and buggy at times but both are still fun. I originally purchased this title for football and it did not disappoint. But darts is amazing. I can't believe how responsive it is and may be my favorite game of them all.
If you liked Kinect Sports, you will like Season 2. All of the games are good and a lot of fun to play. Aside from the pitching in baseball and the hitting in tennis, it's an excellent game. But neither of them are so bad you can't play it.
What's great about it: Football without a controller, great lineup of games, very responsive for most of the games
What's not so great: Baseball and Tennis are less responsive, not as much a workout as the original Kinect Sports

Best Android Tablet...for now.

If you are looking for an Android Tablet look no further than the Motorola Xoom. I own an iPad, Galaxy Tab 10.1, HTC Flyer, Galaxy Tab 7, Xoom Family Edition, and Xoom Wi-Fi. With that in mind, I can say the Xoom is the only sub android tablet on the market that performs as well as the iPad. I really like the Galaxy Tab series but all of them have a slight lag when you swipe from screen to screen. I stopped believing the HTC Flyer will ever upgrade to Honeycomb and the Galaxy 7's poor battery life and older design keep me from recommending it. The lack of accessories for the Xoom Family Edition is disappointing because it has a slightly better design. The Xoom's battery life is excellent and the performance is as responsive as the iPad. Factor in the functional GPS, 32 GIG of storage, expandable micro SD memory, HDMI output, and known upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich and you not only have the best android tablet, you might have the best tablet on the market. On the horizon is the Xoom 2 but the same 32 GIG version is a lot more expensive and the front camera will be downgraded to 1.3mp from 2.0. But it addresses the only downside to buying a Xoom and that’s weight. The Xoom can feel heavy at times but no heavier than the original iPad. It’s not a problem for me but I can see how it might be a problem for someone looking to hold it like a book for long periods at a time.
Best Buy still sells the new Xoom Wi-fi. Not sure why it’s not available on their website? I’m guessing the Xoom 2 has something to do with it?
What's great about it: Long battery life, HDMI output, microSD slot, very responsive
What's not so great: Can seem heavy at times

2nd Best Kinect Title

For Kinect titles, this game is second only to Kinect Sports. The story and game play are terrific. You basically use your left hand to move the gunstringer around and your right hand to select targets and shoot. The controls are very smooth and the entire experienc works very well. And as an added bonus, you get Fruit Ninja which is another great game Kinect game.
What's great about it: Price, works well, Fruit Ninja bonus game
What's not so great: Could be longer...

Star Wars has never looked better...

Thank you George Lucus! Instead of releasing the movies individually and charging who knows how much per episode, they bundled everything up and only charged me $79 for everything. I can't tell you how many times I purchase a Blu-ray version and it doesn't seem much different than the DVD. But with this, some of the scenes on tatooine are terrific. I'm very pleased with the Blu-ray version and highly recommend it to any Star Wars fan.
FYI..ignore the posts about the added sound bites. It's not a big deal and I can't figure out why everyone is making a big deal about it. It's different but not as different as Jobba making an appearance in episode IV.
What's great about it: HD/Sound quality, extras, price, it's Star Wars!
What's not so great: Nothing...any Star Wars fan should love this.

Great visuals but needs an update...

Did EA test this game before it went to production? In one game I played it praised the receiver for throwing the TD he caught. The game looks great but it's little bugs like this that make it far from a great experience. And after all these years you would think EA could come up with an audience that looked like something more than cardboard cutouts. Other than that, the game play is great and the graphics are top notch.
What's great about it: Great graphics, gameplay is solid, and online is stil the best.
What's not so great: Commentators make mistakes, rosters are not updated, and fans look like cardboard cut outs.

One of the best Kinect games...

I have to admit, I wasn't sure about this game based on screen shots alone. But for some reason everyone that reviews this game likes it. And I have to agree, this is easily one of the top games for the Kinect. The soundtrack and graphics are fantastic and the story is well written. The game is challenging and gives a sneak peak at how the Kinect might pull off future shooter games. Everything is so fluid in this game...almost like conducting a techno orchestra.
What's great about it: Visually stunning, great soundtrack, easy to pick up and play.
What's not so great: Like all Kinect games, your arms will hurt the next day.

Your opponent's ball flies narrowly past the pallino, leaving you a clear opening to become the bocce champion. You take a deep breath before releasing the ball; it sails over the grass. The look on your opponent's face is priceless. Just when it seems like you have too much momentum, the ball slows to a halt, less than an inch away from the coveted pallino. You take a moment to celebrate and then quickly compose yourself. You've won the round, but this tournament isn't over yet.Challenge your friends and family with Game Party: In Motion, the game that transforms your living room into the ultimate arcade. Go head-to-head in games like darts, puck bowling, root beer tapper, table hockey and more. Thanks to the power of the Kinect sensor, you can play these games with your entire body, turning yourself into the controller. Great for parties and family gatherings, Game Party features a high-intensity tournament mode where you can battle it out with up to 15 other competitors. Challenge other families online or just let your friends know you're ready to play with automatic Facebook notifications on your wall. Try your hand at all 16 games — but be ready for a little friendly competition.

Better then expected

I normally read the reviews before purchasing any video game. And if the reviews are overwhelmingly negative, I avoid the game like the plague. But in this case, I’m glad I decided to pick this title up. The only reason I wanted to get this game was for the QB challenge which received positive reviews. But as luck would have it, I found several other games that make this a decent buy. Air hockey, bean bag toss, skeeball, horse shoes, and basketball are some of the other games that work well. The only thing that is kind of frustrating is the accept/back interface where you have to keep your right/left hand waist high to interact with Kinect. But once you get the hang of it, it’s not that bad. This game is not as good as Kinect Sports but most of them aren’t. Something else that helps is having enough room to play. Like most Kinect games, you need to stand back so the Kinect sensor can track all of your movements. If you can’t stand that far back, consider mounting the Kinect sensor above the TV for increased performance. An example of this is the basketball game. The Kinect sensor needs to see your hands above your head so it knows when you are releasing the ball. I’m guessing the accept/back navigation and proper sensor placement are the reasons for the bad reviews. But this is not as bad as others are saying if given a chance.
What's great about it: Price $20 (used reward zone points), QB Challange, Air Hockey, Horse Shoes and more.
What's not so great: Navigation...need to get the hang of it.

More extras would have made this great....
on June 4, 2011

Aside from the higher definition, I thought the purpose of spending extra for the blu-ray was the additional content? If you already have the DVD versions of the Kill Bill volumes you might want to pass on the blu-ray versions. The content is exactly the same as the DVD extras and the picture quality may not be enough to warrent the extra cost. But both movies are fantastic and make a great addition to any blu-ray collection.
What's great about it: Great movie, great cast (Uma, Darryl, Lucy, and Vivica)
What's not so great: Where are the extras? Exactly the same as the DVD version.

Disappointing Blu-ray...at first
on May 30, 2011
Posted by: Steelers2k5
from Atlanta, GA
Huge Kill Bill fan so I picked up a copy of Kill Bill Vol 2 on Blu-ray. The black and white scenes are kind of grainy but I think that's how it was in the movie theaters. The scenes filmed in color look fantastic and this is definitely a welcome addition to my Blu-ray library. Watch the entire movie before passing judgement...you'll see the grainy scenes were filmed that way.
What's great about it: Great Price ($9.99), Video/Sound Quality are good.
What's not so great: Not enough extras

SynopsisThe ball is heavy resting in your hands, your fingers entrenched in the three holes. Not was I was expecting...

If you are expecting a bowling game like Kinect Sports or Wii Sports this is not the game for you. The game was designed to use a PS3 motion controller, not the MOVE. It's more like watching someone bowl and releasing the trigger in time than playing a game of bowling. The graphics are good but it's not enough to make up for the terrible game play. (trust me) If you get this game you will surely be disappointed. I've seen free apps on the Android Marketplace and Zune that are better than this game.
What's great about it: Graphics and $9.99 price. (on sale)
What's not so great: Game play, comedy, can't return bad games, $9.99 price. (paid $9.98 to much!)
