Pixel is a Great Phone!

The first noticeable trait of the Pixel XL is its sleek and slender design with its very light weight. When initially setting up the device, I liked the dual security of using a fingerprint and a numeric code to lock out unwanted viewers. The battery was just about full strength right out of the box. After upgrading preinstalled apps and installing new apps, along with using energy which depleted the battery, I was surprised with how quickly the phone recharged itself! A down side of the Pixel is its mimicking of the Apple I-Phone non use of a micro-SD card to expand the storage. Fortunately, Google gives unlimited storage for photos and videos, but unfortunately no unlimited storage for music or documents.
The Pixel’s display is extremely rich in color. All videos play brilliantly similar to a HDTV. The camera can take quality photos in low or bright light. The two cameras can capture pictures in the front or back of the phone. Using social media apps (snap chat, face book, instagram, etc.) to video call works great clarity. The volume level is more than adequate for a phone. Google Assistant with voice recognition is better than the basic Google search on older model phones. Having all Google apps and software and hardware enables the phone to avoid the glitches that happens with multiple companies working together on manufacturing one phone.
I have only used the phone for one day, so I am sure that there is more to critique about the Pixel phone, but for using it for only a day, I find more positive statements to say than negative statements to say!

An average android device for most apps!

My only problem with my Roku 1 streaming player is that it does not have the Verizon Fois app in it's store and therefore, I can not watch my cable television in any room other than where my dvr is placed. Before switching providers, the Roku worked well with Time Warner Cable's app, but no fios. The other apps are apps that most android devices can download, so it is no top of the line android device just an average android device.

My main reason for purchasing was the sale price. The screen is clear and displays sharp color. Apps download with ease, but you can not fill each page with apps, due to insufficient storage. The sound quality is low and needs a tweeter to amplify it. If headphones are used, the sound is fine. The processor can open Netflix and Time Warner Cable with ease. Games respond well also. the touchscreen works great. Only purchase when on sale!

What's not so great: Not enough internal storage to fill all five pages with apps.
