Very cool product, clear camera

I'm pretty impressed by the Nest Hello. The clarity of the camera in daylight and at night is remarkable. Setup is a little bit cumbersome if you are not comfortable with electronics; the Nest app provides step-by-step instructions to replacing your current setup with the Nest Hello device. My house is a little on the old side, so I relied on a qualified technician to do the install, which took him about twenty minutes - worth the money for my peace of mind.
Once connected to my house and to my WiFi, the device is constantly powered and can stream directly to my phone. Since this is not a battery-powered camera, it does not rely on motion-detection to power up the device. I can check in anytime with minimal delay.
The notifications I set up with the camera are a nice touch. I do not have a Nest Aware subscription, but there is value in combining this product with their security offerings. Overall, this is a product I highly recommend if you can get through the installation process.

Clear, sturdy 4K TV with easy remote features

I'm enjoying my experience with the Hisense 60" 4K UHD television. Setup was quick and easy - I liked the option of selecting the default input that will always open when turning on the unit. Colors are vivid on the large screen, with only a few imperfections toward the far edges. I didn't experience much lag at all, watching content from a Chromecast, OTA live TV, and through a multimedia player. And the built-in Netflix/Vudu/Youtube access providing 4K content showcased the brilliant screen.
The build is somewhat bulky when using the provided stands, but I will be mounting this television and don't foresee many aesthetic issues. There are only three HDMI ports, which may turn off some. Finally, the remote is standard fare, but I do love the dedicated buttons for the aforementioned video services. I do have some issues having to do multiple button presses at times, but it's only a slight perturbance and nothing that changes my mind on this solid, affordable television.

Easy setup, nice features

The AirTV player was easy to set up with my 4K TV - it has everything you need to get connected to Sling TV and to a wide selection of apps and services. The Netflix button on the remote is a plus. One of the key features is its ability to get Over-The-Air (OTA) channel access using its OTA adapter and your antenna. This allowed a few dozen more channels, most of them in HD.
The high quality of Sling TV on the AirTV Player was pretty evident. I'm currently using the free trial but it has impressed me enough to "cut the cord" on cable going forward.
The remote itself feels a little less solid than I would have wished, and the buttons did not respond as precisely as hoped. Accuracy was spotty, since I would need several presses at times for it to function. But with the easy setup and seamless OTA and web channel integration, the AirTV Player is an easy recommendation.

Simple installation, works as expected

The Nest Connect extends the range of your Nest Secure System for a larger property. While it may not be needed for small apartments, it is a reliable addition to Nest Secure users with multi-level houses and other larger homes.
I plugged the Connect closer to the rear of the house, away from the main hub located near the main living room area. I did not experience any issues with connectivity for the rear alarm. My home uses many smart devices and countless items accessing the home WiFi, but through a week of testing, I did not notice any drop-off in connection for the rear house area alarms.
While I'm certain that the Nest Secure System itself is working properly throughout the size of my property, I am happy with this range extending addition, especially since I'm considering adding a couple of extra sensors in the lower levels of the house.

Tough on bad guys. Easy on you.The Nest Secure alarm system is easy to live with every day. Just tap Nest Tag on Nest Guard to arm and disarm the alarm - no passcode needed. Nest Detect sensors look out for doors, windows and rooms. And with the Nest app, you can keep an eye on what matters.

Easy to install, simple to configure

The Nest starter security system is a great beginning entry into securing your home. It comes with the basic essentials: a Nest hub, two sensors to protect doors, windows, or other entryways, and two tags for arming and disarming alarms on the fly without a password needed. Power cables and mounting equipment are included as well. You also have the option of adding more to the system as needed. The sensors act as both a binary alarm (open/close detection) as well as a sort of motion detector, as the sensors illuminate when it detects movement - a nice little extra when navigating in the dark. These sensors can be adjusted for sensitivity too, so my cat wandering in the night didn't constantly cause alerts.
Setup was fairly simple after installation and downloading the free app. You can also temporarily disable single alarms using the tags. It provides a short timeframe to access a protected area without triggering the alarm while keeping other areas armed. I'm surprised at how often this function was utilized and it was very convenient to access with the tags and with the app.
Currently, the provided equipment only covers the front and kitchen rear entrance of the house, but I'm confident in it enough to add more Nest sensors to the system going forward. Coupling the minimal design with a user-friendly, no-frills app creates a product that is both accessible and customizable. I really like this product as a starter to a bigger, more robust security system. Get this product with the intent of investing into it more in the future and you will enjoy the safety and security it provides.

Easy, smart lighting, nice ambiance features

With four bulbs to customize, the Philips Hue White Ambiance starter kit provides enough options and features for any smart lighting beginner to feel like a pro. Setup was simple: replace up to four bulbs with the provided Philips Hue lights; power and connect the hub; download and fire up the app; and that's it - off you go. The hardest part was figuring out which area of the house I wanted to configure, which ended up being my master bedroom. I used the bulbs for the main light, a desk lamp, the nightstand, and one for the closet light.
I really like the pre-configured templates provided on the app, but you can customize and save any setting you can come up with. I appreciate the fade-in option for the morning wake up, and I like the "reading" configuration for the evenings. You can also customize which bulbs to turn on and which ones to leave off, if desired.
Some other smart lighting brands offer customization but it would feel like jumping through hoops to do simple things like setting up a time frame for adjusting the ambiance. The Philips Hue app makes this process quite simple. And as a nice plus, it connects very easily to Google Assistant for voice commands.
Overall, this is a great first step for those interested in testing out smart lighting and want simplicity, value, and some nice configurations for their smart home setup.

Powerful, simple blender

With a nice mix of simple operation and customizable settings, the Blendtec Classic Series 575 will take care of all of your blending needs.
The blender has a nice, solid base, and the mixing jar doesn't have many difficult edges for cleaning purposes. Its control panel buttons are easy to press, and the programmable cycles were surprisingly useful. Once the cover was locked into place, I had no problems setting up a blend and just leaving it alone for the duration of the cycle - a major plus.
The 575 is pretty loud but gets the job done. I haven't found a good blender that isn't loud, so this isn't really a criticism. Overall, the Blendtec Classic Series 575 is any easy recommendation for someone who wants a fully functional, easy to operate blender.

Clear visuals, easy to setup, some major issues

What jumps out from the Arlo Pro 2 Security Camera System is the very good picture image. The wirefree cameras run on rechargeable batteries and come with simple to install wall mounts. The high-res, 1080p HD video quality is clear in daylight, and the night vision is passable for a good distance. The app is easy to use and gives you mobile access to your camera. I did not set up the free trial cloud service which is included with the system.
Depending on where you are monitoring, however, the battery life will vary based on the visual activity being recorded. The device went offline multiple times which I attributed to battery issues. You can set up the sensitivity to adjust motion recognition but only with the cameras wired; for most people, this might be a little bit of a drawback. Also, the two-way sound quality needs improvement as it is not very loud at all in both directions.
Overall, the Arlo Pro 2 has some nice qualities including the nice visuals and easy setup. If you are using it primarily indoors and wired in, then it is a decent camera system. But as an outdoor security system, I just don't think I could trust it to monitor my home 24/7 while running specifically battery-powered, which is the main draw for the system. I do not recommend this product.

Its Spin4Pro premium brush roll provides powerful cleaning for carpeted and hard floors, and its 24V battery provides up to 20 minutes of continuous operation. Surprisingly powerful little vacuum

Dirt Devil has made a nice little vacuum here. While it won't replace a larger upright for a full household, it does provide a lighter, cordless alternative that is easy to construct, operate, and store. I appreciate the included wall mount, though some proper hardware to install it would have been helpful.
The Reach Max Plus vacuum has a compact design and comes with everything needed for a quick cleaning session at a runtime of about 20-25 minutes non-stop between charges. Charging time is comparable to other cordless stick vacuums, about 3 hours for a full charge. It has dual power settings, though I found myself using the high speed more often on both carpet and hard floors. It doesn't have an area light, but it's not a dealbreaker for such an affordable stick vac. The rotating brush when using it as an upright has a see-through window which provides a nice visual touch.
All in all, a solid vacuum that gives you multiple cleaning options while saving you storage space. Worth a buy.

Simple setup, basic system

SimpliSafe's Defend system has enough trimmings to protect a single family home. Two motion sensors and 6 entry sensors should cover entryways, windows, and other areas in need of monitoring. The base station is the only wired piece, with the battery-powered sensors and keypad providing wire-free security. The system itself is stand-alone, so it does not rely on your home's WiFi or telephone capabilities.
Setup is as simple as following the provided instructions or using the free app for guided setup. Putting up sensors requires attaching a device to a flat surface - that's it. The wire-free sensors can be positioned however the user wants it; the base station and keypad present the most difficulty, but once up and running, the system takes it from there. I had no communication issues from the base with the multiple sensors on my four house levels.
This system lacks cameras and the basic security package is a lot less robust in terms of smart connectivity than the more advanced package. It doesn't look all that aesthetically pleasing either, but that doesn't deter from what appears to be a great service behind it. That being said, it is a very nice system with easy installation that does provide a trusted level of security. I would recommend this system in addition to some security camera additions for complete peace of mind.
