I had two of these amps installed to go with two sets of component speakers. The Geek Squad techs did a great job of finding the best places in my vehicle to tuck these in completely out of sight, and they also installed a single din Pioneer 7" flip-out screen head unit, a variety of audio cables for the head unit, a backup camera, subwoofer amp, subwoofer, custom subwoofer box that I purchased elsewhere (that Geek Squad was willing to trim down for me for an even better fit) and a washer and dryer (ok, not quite) in my vehicle. It's nice to be able to get all this done under one roof and to know that the techs are doing all the wiring and placements of everything together to ensure the best setup. Much appreciated. I had a Pioneer single din with 7" flip-out display, 2 6.5 inch Alpine component speakers with an amp for each set (and some custom fitting and cutting that needed to be done to mount both sets of tweeters), subwoofer and subwoofer amp, custom subwoofer box that I purchased separately (that still needed to be trimmed down a bit to fit even better in my trunk), rear view camera, auxiliary cable, audio video to hdmi cable, and a partridge in a pear tree all installed by the two Best Buy Geek Squad car techs. I am soooooooooo glad I paid the few bucks to let them do all this because it ensured that everything was well organized and coordinated and tested together. One of the installers was present from the very beginning of the process as I worked with two installers and a variety of sales reps to piece together all the stuff for the system. The second installer who came up with a lot of the suggestions for the "extra" customization such as cutting and making custom mounts for the two sets of tweeters ended up quitting before the install took place. Thankfully they hired another installer who had more expertise with the custom cutting/fitting because the original installer who was still there was honest in saying he wasn't comfortable with doing all of that. I appreciated his honesty. Another benefit of getting Best Buy to do all the installation is that if there are ever any problems (I also purchased the Geek Squad protection plans for everything except the head unit) I know I can get everything taken care of under one roof. In regards to purchasing the head unit warranty elsewhere, Geek Squad ensured me that if I ever do need to send it in, they'll take it out and put it back in since they installed it. I really appreciate all the hard work and care they put into getting all this together for me. It was well worth the price. Also, because of the 15-day return policy I was able to go back and get some of the installations fees refunded because of sale that started within the 15-day time frame. Much appreciated. Pioneer Does It Again

This is the 2nd Pioneer video head unit I've had installed in my vehicles. This time I needed a single din, and I was glad to see that Pioneer offered a single din with a flip-out 7" screen that also had all the features and options of a standard double din 7" screen. I've got a subwoofer amp, two small amps for 2 sets of components, rear view camera, the aux cable, and an audio/video hdmi converter cable all hooked up to the head unit. The display is beautiful, and the functionality of being able to insert/eject cd's without having to open the display is nice. The removable faceplate is a small added piece of security, which is a nice feature. There are a few things compared to my Pioneer 7" double din that I am somewhat disappointed about. 1st off the cd mode doesn't display the album/song/artist information. I'm not sure if this is a setting that I have to figure out or something, but I was pretty surprised that this unit doesn't have this simple feature. Also, the pre-loaded background picture/theme options on this unit aren't as good as the ones on my other Pioneer unit. This isn't the end of the world, but it seems like something like this should always be getting better rather than taking a step back. I'm still playing around with the 13-point equalizer and variety of other sound settings. You can adjust each speaker level and the subwoofer level individually, and this is a major upgrade over my other Pioneer head unit. In a sense there's almost so many different ways you can adjust the sound quality and sound settings that it might be overwhelming if you're not careful. That's a good problem to have. One thing that I'm surprised Pioneer hasn't included in their head units is the ability for USB drives to automatically organize themselves alphabetically/numerically based on folder/album title and song number/name within the individual folders. This is standard on most factory car stereos, and it seems like something Pioneer should've figured out to include on their aftermarket head units by now. One thing that is a HUGE feature is the Mixtrax option for the USB. I'm just now figuring it out and playing around with it, but what I've experienced so far is so great. The idea that it is able to understand the type of music being played and then mix songs together as it transitions from song to song is pretty cool. I would imagine I'm just experiencing the beginning of it because I haven't really played around with the settings. Overall, you can't go wrong with this as an option for a solid head unit period, and it's almost a must buy option if you've only got room for a single din and want the features of a 7" screen. I'm not sure how I had never heard about OTG cables before, but I was pretty surprised that these were an option for some phones. I realized that if the phones I had supported the OTG technology then a simple, inexpensive cable like this would be well worth the purchase. I wasn't 100% sure if my phones were OTG or not (there are apps you can use to supposedly verify, but these aren't always 100% accurate). The Best Buy rep didn't have any way of knowing for sure if the OTG cable would work on my phones or not. He was very helpful to point out that BB's return policy would allow me to buy it, try it, and return it within 15 days if it didn't work. I purchased the cable, and it did turns out that my primary phone does have OTG but the secondary phones I use don't. This cable is short and simple with enough flexibility and firmness to make me think it'll last while with basic care. The small size also makes it very portable. It secures firmly into the phone, and the flash drive fits firmly into the cable. Great option for extension cord

I needed an extension cord that could handle a dual motor small exercise machine I purchased. The machine strongly discourages using any extension cord, but I couldn't position it anywhere useful without using an extension cord. After reading about extension cords online and also talking with a variety of hardware store employees, I determined that if you do have to use an extension cord for a machine like this you better make sure you get one that is going to be able to deliver the proper amount of power to machine (i.e. DON'T use a standard extension cord that you probably have around the house for other items) because not doing so could result in damage to the machine over time or even things like shortages or fire! One of the other things I learned is that for machines like this you want to also get the shortest extension cord possible because that too impacts how well it will work. This extension cord had the added benefit of only being 6ft long, and this is by far the shortest option for the power handling it has (i.e. other stores had the same power handling cords but only in 10ft, 12ft, etc.). The price was decent too for the convenience of being able to pick it up at my local Best Buy vs waiting to order a similar cord online. Hope this helps. Thanks. Matthew 7:12

I'm one of those people who still actually purchase cds when an artist puts out an album that I want on both cd and digital format. Case Logic has always been the best option to store and organize my cds and album notes. Call me old-fashioned, but it's still nice to be able to have everything cataloged, and Case Logic is the best way to do so.

I first heard of Travis Greene after hearing a snippet of his latest album "The Hill." I then went on and purchased "The Hill." AMAZING album from beginning to end. Praise God for that. I then decided to work my way backwards and purchase his previous album "Stretching Out." Overall it's a good album, but nowhere near as great as "The Hill." A lot of the songs on "Stretching Out" seem to be repetitive in the style/delivery. It's good and worth having, but it's nothing spectacular.

This album is solid from beginning to end. Gemstones lyrics are meaningful, thought provoking, real, and most importantly glorify Christ. There are a lot of tracks with "deep" messages that might throw some people off if they're only used to listening to rap that's all about making you dance or get hype (that's NOT a criticism to that type of rap). There really aren't any "bumpable" tracks (i.e. riding around blasting with the windows down), but there are a lot of tracks that will really challenge you to think about society and do some from a Biblical point of view. Great album. God bless Gemstones and his ministry.

Inexpensive, great alternative for mp3 player

I purchased a few of these to use a "dedicated" mp3 players for my Bluetooth headphones. Wow! They work perfectly. The sound quality by using the micro sd card in the phone and using Bluetooth to connect to the headphones makes the headphones sound 1000 times better compared to having the micro sd card inserted directly into the headphones. Plus by using the mp3 player on the cell phone I can easily sort through songs, artists, albums, make playlists, etc. There are also multiple eq features and other sound adjustments that can be made through the cell phone. I have used the Wifi when out and about, and this is just an extra bonus. The screen is large and bright and sensitive enough on the touch screen despite not being "perfect." The battery lasts really long with me using it as an mp3 player. I haven't activated any of the Trackphone features as I'm using it strictly as an mp3 player/Wifi internet. Hope this helps. Thanks. I've always been a big fan of the SanDisk brand of storage options. I've purchased so many of these flash drives that I've lost count. As usual they work great and get the job done. I still haven't quite figured out why they don't actually have the reported amount of free space on them though (i.e. 16gb actually shows 15.something when you plug it in). The cd drive can open and close without being connected via the usb cable, but the cd drive can't power on\off or run any other functions without being connected via the usb cable to another device. will this AVHX7800BT fit in the dash of a 2004 jeep wrangler X. with air conditioning?
It's a single din, so it'll fit in any single din space. I've got mine installed in a 2002 Corvette. The video screen covers the center air vent (which is where the most air comes from in that vehicle), so I have to close the screen if I want to be able to feel the air while listening to the unit. The unit is still very functional for most things with the screen down, so it hasn't been a major issue to me. Hope this helps. Thanks. Matthew 7:12

Can you watch video content like YouTube and Netflix when you are parked?
Yes. There are settings that make sure video content can only be viewed while parked (i.e. parking brake is on). Technically there are ways around this that allow you to override the parking brake restriction, but you're on your own to get that done because Best Buy can't legally make this modification. I have the override switch on one vehicle of mine, and I can honestly say I've literally never used it. Realistically, no one should be viewing video content while driving. I had the override put in the one vehicle because I figured there might be a time where a passenger might want to watch video content while I was driving. Can I display the GPS from my android smart phone on this unit?
I think that requires "Mirrorlink" technology which this specific Pioneer model doesn't have. There are several Pioneer models that do have this technology, but I think they're all double-din models.
There is a technical way around this that I explored prior to purchasing and having this unit installed. It requires purchasing a few additional cables and having them connected to the back of the unit. These cables (connected to each other) then allow you to connect any video device to the cable and display whatever is on the screen to the screen of the unit.
Do a Youtube search for "How You MirrorLink Any Radio!!! Pioneer NEX and AVH Used" for the explanation.

Can i use this phone with WIFI without having it activated first?
I got this phone because it was a 4G WIFI hoping to get faster internet speed without the buffering effect on 3G phones. So can i use it for internet without having to activate the phone or buy an airtime card?
Yes, yes, yes you can use it for WiFi without it being activated! I purchased the phone with the intention of using it as a "dedicated" mp3 player for my Bluetooth headphones and haven't activated any of the Trackphone stuff. The extra bonus is that yes I can use it for Wifi too!
