This review is about the LG Tone Wireless in-ear headphones. I have had these about a month now and I will list what I like and what I don't like, trying to remain as objective as I can. I want to be fair to both future customers as well as to LG. What I like: 1) They are wireless and the reception is good 2) The quality of the sound is good too 3) Hands-free, voice-activated calls, similar to the Bluetooth in my car 4) Pairs with about anything- I paired it with my IPad, my phone, my Surface Pro. 5) they charge while in the neckband and the charge holds for hours 6) they are convenient- no bulky headphones over my head, giving me a sense of freedom 7) They have a dedicated App which gives battery status , volume level, and control over basic features.
What I do not like: 1) They are priced high- Not sure if the value is there 2) They come with a small ear bud and the replacement buds are the same size--no variation in size probably so they fit into the neckband freely. I have a large ear opening and the smaller buds make my ears hurt because I try to make them fit by pushing them in constantly. If you can wear a smaller bud like these they should fit well. However, in my case, I replaced (with some effort) the smaller buds with a set I had on another set of wired ear buds. They fit well then, but when removing them from the neckband they turn inside out because the neckband opening is made for the smaller bud. I don't know if this will harm the speakers eventually or not. 3) It can be difficult to pair them sometimes. Also, the one day I put them on I could not get the right ear bud to work. Since the left bud is the master, I think the "sub" bud (the right one)needs to be connected separately to the first bud. 4) Lately the App (LG Tone and Talk) will not connect to the system so I cannot adjust the volume of the buds; I cannot see the battery status. Plus, the latest upgrade is geared more for the LG buds that are wired, not the wireless set. 5) The neckband is not something that I would wear. I don't really see the point. Yes, it vibrates when a call is coming in, but the ring tone sounds in the ear so I don't need the vibrating neckband. As a charging device the neckband makes sense and the buds are easy to place into their openings 6) I don't think they are good for working out or vigorous exercise or active work. Just this morning I was eating breakfast with the buds in while streaming a program on my IPad. The left bud fell out onto the floor twice. It was because of my chewing. That is not exercise or working out where I think they would eventually fall out.
So overall I like them, but I would not recommend them to a friend. I think they need to reduce the cost and get things a little bit more together as far as instructions and the App.

At first I thought it was going to be complicated with regard to running it, but I soon found out that it is easy. Having the three different settings for bare floor, short carpet, and thick carpet/area rugs, makes everything else easier. I think what I like the best is how each section can come apart in an instant to take care of whatever the current situation calls for. If I need to get underneath the coffee table I just push a button and "lift away" the body. It is very light weight so I just carry it from that point on. If I need to get the ledge on the bookcase, I simply detach the handle and use the accessory for tight spaces that I placed at the bottom of the machine. It is so convenient. There is no bag needed and it only takes 2 minutes to empty the container. Again,... Convenient!

This review is for the "Linksys - Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System (3-pack) - White." The concept of "wrapping" the web around my home intrigued me and really made sense. I wondered why this would be any different than extending the web. I also wondered if it would actually make a difference from what I already owned. High speed internet in my area is only 10 mps. I read about others getting speeds of 180 mps and some considering that slow. So I wondered if The Velop system would even matter in my situation. Speed is not the issue here, consistency and simplicity are.
The product arrived packaged extremely well. I could tell quickly that I had a quality product in front of me before I even opened the box. There are not any instructions other than having access to an Android or an IOS vehicle to download the Velop app. I downloaded the app and followed the directions. l took the first "node" (the name for an individual tower) and disconnected my current router and ran the line from the modem to the node. I plugged in the node and turned it on. I was following each one of these steps as they appeared on the app using my cellphone. At this point the app asked me to hold as it paired the node to my phone and then connected me to my modem and the internet. I did not have to be concerned with any addresses or any of the stuff I used to have to do when I hooked up a router, it was ALL done for me. I just needed my pass code to connect to my internet connection. I was very impressed with how simple it was. Then the app asked me if I had another node to connect. It told me how and where to place it in my home. I live in a 3-bedroom ranch home (70 ft. by 25 ft.) with a half-finished basement. My main computer and modem are located in the finished side of the basement. The first node went there and the 2nd one I took upstairs to the first bedroom located in the middle of the home. I followed the app's instructions and hooked up the 2nd node. (Each node must be placed near an outlet.) Then I took the 3rd node to the far end of the home in the back bedroom which is about 35-40 ft. from the 2nd node. The app tied them all together and created a "web," which enveloped the entire home. The whole process took about 35 minutes. It could have been done quicker probably, but I was in no hurry.
The biggest difference I have noticed is when streaming video upstairs. There used to be a lot of buffering, and now there is very little, if any, and then it is because the given site is having issues, not because my router cannot keep up. I also noticed that the coverage now covers my entire lot outside as well where it did not before. That will be great when I mow the lawn and want to stream music. It is almost an acre lot (about 120 ft. by 140 ft.)
I know this product would shine in a bigger home. It may be "overkill" in my situation, but I am happy. When we sell our home my wife and I will no doubt move into a condo or a townhouse which will probably consist of three floors. I know the Velop system will be perfect in that environment.

I just received my Tone Free headset and the right ear bud does not work when I'm listening to my music, watching a movie or even when I talk but the manual said when talking left will only work. Both ear buds ONLY work when I am on youtube. Is this right
You should be able to hear through both buds except when on a call, and then only the left ear. Try pairing the right earbud separately after the master (the left one) is connected.

Can I answer the phone with the earbud only, with the neckpiece?
I'm not sure I understand your question exactly. I leave the neckband on my desk or in a drawer, I don't use it except to charge up the buds. An incoming call will ring through the bud just like you were sitting in a car with hands-free Bluetooth.
