Protect Yourself from the Unexpected

Long time AVG user and thought it was time to protect myself more than the FREE version offers. I try to stay on the safer side of the net but sometimes bad things happen to good sites so you should always be sure your computer is protected. Last issue this flagged was a website that decided to start mining for bitcoins, robbing my computer's resources. Thankfully AVG caught it and I quickly left, searching elsewhere for the info I was looking for. Also like the webcam protection where you can make sure it is only enabled when you explicitly say so or only from trusted apps or never. Still playing around with some of the newer features. Coming from a Unix background myself, I like the tool/screen that shows which apps are using which ports. Not as easy to get elsewhere. Good protection for another year...

Great for Sharing Better Pix/Videos

I got a little worried with this before I even had the chance to install. When I got this package I had one laptop. Before I was able to install, my machine died. The issue... machine one had a DVD drive. Machine two didn't. Thankfully, you can download online if you don't have DVD drive. Each is a rather large download, about 2.5 GB each. Once downloaded, just follow the prompts and each installs easily. Serial numbers are on the back of one of the provided discs. There is a separate disc for Mac vs. PC downloads if you don't go the download route.
Once installed, that's when the magic happens. I like using the tools to make my pictures and videos look better.
In videos, don't like the first few seconds of something? Just chop it out. Want to voice over the audio track.... go right ahead. You can even speed up the playback of a video over the boring parts.
For pictures, you can touch up your pictures before printing so they look better. Remove that sign in the background or cut out the ex. Lots of filters to sharpen the picture or change the color tones.
There are a ton of features in these tools and you don't have to master them all at once to take advantage of the tools. Just learn as you go the parts you need. If you need help, you'll find plenty of helpful tips online from those willing to share.
Cheapest to get the pair together. You'll find yourself using the video editing tool more than you ever thought.

You can use for smoothies, agua fresca, and sauces. And you can follow any of the recipes on their web site to make things like sherbet, dog treats, and muffins even. Very easy to clean, Does well with frozen fruit and ice, and lots of other things. So easy to use and you'll use more often then you thought. Loving it.

Took about two hours to setup. Should have taken less but original builder didn't setup the ground wire so had to run to hardware store to buy something to crimp extension to wire. Unit comes with the wire to extend, just not a nut or crimper to connect.
Once wired, easy to configure on laptop/tablet/phone. Just create account, tell it the MAC ID for the unit. and you can then setup schedules, etc. on laptop with benefit of full screen vs. just on the screen of the unit.
Have to wait to see if we save on the energy bills with the added configuration options for schedule on unit.

I picked these up for my father-in-law. He loves his current noise-canceling headphones but after trying them myself, I've heard better. He put these on and immediately stated they were so much better before even doing anything with the downloadable app.
Fits securely over the ear to block out ambient sound (mother-in-law... :). Classical music sounds awesome and can handle all the bass you can throw at it.
Connects wireless easily (Bluetooth 4.1 / NFC) or usable wired. Battery-life is around 30 hours of usage.
Making phone calls through microphone on headphones yields excellent sound quality without that tunnel-sounding with some headsets.
While you don't need to use the associated app, it does allow you to configure several options mostly related to handling the surroundings.
Have not had the chance yet to test how it handles the pressure differentiation while flying. Supposedly monitors pressure to adjust sound accordingly.
These are a great sounding set of headphones that should last a long time and keep my father-in-law extremely happy. Out goes that old set that he was so impressed with.

My wife loves to make things homemade, everything from pasta to bread to ice cream and beyond. The Ninja is great for those items like yogurt, smoothies, tomato soup, and her own dressings. Just connect the different vessels on the top and the Ninja detects what's there to present you with the right setting options. Have not thrown out any of the old appliances just yet but hopefully will have some extra room available once more comfortable with what the Ninja can do. Good amount of power for everything we've tried so far. Might have to start making some snow cones...

I do the occasional corporate teaching gig. Most larger companies have great setups for me to connect to show training material. Not all smaller companies do. Instead of renting something for those gigs, I'm now able to take this projector instead (though there isn't a travel bag/case provided). Bright enough for most rooms. Definitely projects an image large enough and sharp enough with its XGA resolution. Have not had the opportunity to test the shared display over a network. That sounds like a great feature. You won't be disappointed here.

Great Sound / Comfortable

Going from a great sounding $25 set of headphones to these is no comparison. What I thought was great sounding before would only be just good when compared to these. Able to play high bass songs and symphony music and hear all that is available separating out the sounds of the individual instruments. Love that these are wireless. Very comfortable for an over the ear set with a little bit of sound leakage if you play the music loud enough.

Never Opened the Instructions

We have a Newfoundland. He's big and hairy. We need to vacuum up his shedded hair frequently during the week. The Shark - IONFlex works great for those quick jobs you need to do before company is coming.
Extremely easy to put together and operate. Didn't have the need to open instruction booklet at all. Great for doing stairs as you can just detach base and use the pole on wooden stairs. Several attachments are available but haven't had the need to use them yet.
Surprisingly, the batteries weren't anywhere near fully charged when they arrived. Had to charge them before doing initial product test. There doesn't appear to be a way to check the power level w/o plugging the battery in.
Very maneuverable when using the base. And when you can't get into a tight corner or behind some furniture, just use the want. Dirt receptacle could have been larger but then not as easy to work with.
Definitely not the primary vacuum if you have a large hairy dog. However, holds up well with big clumps of hair when you frequently need to do a quick cleanup. I can imagine this as your primary vacuum if you have a MUCH smaller dog that isn't so hairy and you live in an apartment/condo that isn't so large.

$200 for a Keyboard, Better be made of Gold

I like typing on this keyboard. I use a low profile iMac keyboard at the office and the thing is just too small for someone who types all day. That one is also too low of an angle to type comfortably. The Logitech Craft Wireless Keyboard is much different than the other one. First off is its size. Its a full-size keyboard with a keypad. You're not keeping your hands and fingers all crunched together. One thing I don't understand about the keyboard is why it weighs so much. Sure it has Bluetooth and this funky scrollbar button in it but the keyboard works well for someone typing all day. The weight keeps the unit in place so it doesn't fly around. The knob I'm still getting used to. I like to not have to move my hands over to the mouse,knowing all the keyboarding shortcuts.Now moving to the knob gives you another reason for them to move off their home spot You do need to install a 'driver' type bit of software to get past the first line of defenses. Now you have help from a very sturdy keyboard. You won't be disappointed except with what comes out of your wallet as it is pricey.

It will setup an barrier to between it and the wall across from it that the Roomba won't cross. There is also an "arc" mode that you can use by let's say placing it between your dog bowls. That will create an arc around the bowls so it won't repeatedly ram into them. Otherwise, it has free reign of where it will go. If the battery starts getting low, it will return to base.

The Roomba is about 13" around. There is a base you plug into the wall that the machine parks over whenever it needs a charge. So, add a couple more inches for depth for the base. No bag. It has a small bin in the front that you can empty when the machine is parked.

Can you use any solution with this machine ? Also, does this clean in the grooves of textured floors ?
It is not recommended you use another solution. I think that has the potential to void the warranty.
