No regrets, but wait if you can

If you need to get your VR on, and your computer rig is PCMR worthy, then buy this. Comfy (with VR Covers replacement facial interface), light weight, and stylish (?). Get the kit with the touch controllers, and order the extra camera sensor to do roomscale. Try out Robo Recall, and buy Star Trek Bridge Crew. Steam purchases will work without issue, and I'd be worried about the long term plans (or existence) of the Oculus store.
If you're not in a rush, then wait. Honestly, the Gear VR mobile version with an S7 or S8 phone is good enough for 360 videos and simple casual games. Also, wireless, augmented reality, high resolution headsets are on their way in about a year or two, so just be patient.
P.S. - There is no native home app support for internet browsing using this headset. Get the Gear VR if you're looking for plug and play VR surfing.

I was just browsing, looking to replace a dead 7.1 Pioneer, and stumbled on this. Top shelf, high quality, full featured... and open box for less than half normal price?!? I had to do a double take when I saw the price, and confirmed on my phone that I was looking at what I thought I was looking at. Now, I'm not sure if BB made a mistake, but I didn't care, and snapped this beauty up then and there. A must buy if you find one open boxed for under $700.

Good quality, but buy the insurance

The controller has a solid build quality, but has two potential issues:
1) The sticks are the exact same part as found on the standard controller, and as such have the potential to develop "stick drift". At this point, there is no option for repair. Buy the insurance and replace it.
2) The shoulder buttons are actually a single piece of plastic resting with tension over a single pivot beneath the Guide button. In some situations, this piece of plastic can be brittle and break, causing one or both shoulder buttons to no longer work. At this point, there is no way to repair the controller. Buy the insurance and replace it.
Unfortunately, Microsoft only offers a 90-day warranty for their premium controller, so it is well worth the $20 for two years of coverage on your $150 controller. BB has been super-easy and very friendly when it comes to the actual exchange process, so no matter how gentle you plan to be with your new toy, BUY THE INSURANCE.

Just plug it in, select that you want to use it for games (will only work with consoles) or for media storage (movies, music, and pictures, and can be used between consoles or computers). I use this with my XB1X dev kit, and it is an absolute champ for quickly loading games.
