I got this for my wife, who wanted it to keep track of her activities. It does a good job of counting steps and makes a decent guess at how long she exercises when she goes to the health club, but note that the step counter does not work if one is on a treadmill and holds the hand rails (because it cues off hand motion).
Also note that the Alta does not do heart rate so if you want that you need to get something else.

I got this HDD to use as an external "off line" backup for my files. I plug it in, copy files, then unplug it and put it on the shelf. So far I am pleased, it works well for this application. Transfers are quick with USB 3.0, especially compared to USB 2.0 flash drives. It has only been about a month since I got this so I cannot speak about long term reliability. I have had good life from other Western Digital HDDs and hope this will be no exception.

This is a nice improvement on our 10 year old dryer.
One nit to pick is that the "splitter" hose shipped with it, for connecting to the water supply, is all rubber (or somesuch). This negated the benefit of using metal mesh hoses for the washer and dryer main hoses.

I like the all electronic controls and hope they will last longer than the mechanical switches on the washer we replaced.
The High Efficiency aspect takes some getting used to. Water usage is so low that sometimes part of the load does not seem to even get into the water, we had to re-wash one item that was still partly dirty after washing. My wife has started using the "deep water" option just to get all the clothes wet.

Best MX since the MX Revolution

I had an MX Revolution and loved it. Time takes its toll on a mouse, though. The battery got weak (although it still made it thru a day) and the rubbery sides got "gooey". Since the mouse and keyboard are one's main tactile interface with one's PC I decided it was time for a replacement. Life is too short to use a gooey mouse. :-)
I tried a Performance MX and it was OK but not as good at the MX Revolution. Plugging in a micro USB to charge is sure less convenient than plopping the mouse into a charging cradle and it seemed like I was always charging. Well, every 3 days anyway it was down to one battery light. I liked that it uses a replaceable AA cell but wished they had used 2 cells for longer battery life.
When the MX Master came out and I read about the longer battery life I had to get one. Battery life is substantially improved! I have not yet run the mouse down to one battery light but instead charge about every 10 days when it still shows 2 lights.
I have not used the thumb-wheel on the side much yet but when I did I liked the way it worked -- much better than pushing the main wheel side to side IMHO.
The auto-switch on the main wheel is fantastic! Roll it slowly and it has detents. Give a quick flick and the detents disappear and it spins "forever". I actually like the auto-switch action of the MX Master better than the action of the original MX Revolution.
Yes, the MX Master is expensive for a mouse, but as I said the mouse is one of your main interfaces to a PC so I think it worth a little extra to get one that feels "right" in your hand.

OK cable, may not fit if you use a case

It's a cable, it works. There are a few differences from Apple's cable. It is longer (nice) but the cable is stiffer (not so nice, but no biggie). The plastic molded around the Lightning connector is larger than that of Apple's connector at 5.5 mm by 9.4 mm compared to 4.8 mm by 7.6 mm for Apple's. If you use a case on your device check that the clearance around the Lightning receptacle is large enough.
All in all it is fine if you need a second cable.

This was a replacement for my 4 year old iPod Touch 4th gen, whose battery was down to about 40% capacity.
The display is excellent, a nice improvement in viewing angle over the old Touch and the 20% larger screen is nice.
I found the changes from iOS 6 to iOS 8 were mostly improvements. The iOS 8 screens have less "eye candy" than the iOS 6 screens, similar to the way Windows 8 dropped Windows 7's "Aero" displays. IMHO this is good for a portable device as it should need less graphics horsepower = longer battery life. I like the changes to the Calendar app, it is much easier to jump years at a time, which I sometimes want to do and scrolling a month at a time is tedious.
My one complaint is the same complaint I have for the older Touch -- the non-user-replaceable battery. That seems to be the way of the future from many vendors... :-(

Can the Fitbit be removed from the band? I have a Flex and I like wearing it on a magnetic clasp on my belt strap. Is this an option with the alta?
Yes the Alta can be removed from its band. I don't know if it would stay attached to your belt strap or even how well it would detect steps given that it is intended to be worn on a wrist.

Is this drive in rohs compliance? The box only states ce but other drives show both.
ROHS compliance is required to be able to display the CE mark, so yes.

My wash comes out all wrinkled so I put the spin on low and it did not spin at all

If your washer is like mine, you did not put it on "low" spin, you put it on "no" spin. Check the labels on the button again.

Can the mouse be used with a Logitech Unifying Receiver?
Can the mouse be used with a Logitech Unifying Receiver? Or is Bluetooth the only way to connect the mouse aside from the USB cable? Also, can the battery be replaced?
Yes, the MX Master uses a unifying receiver. In fact it can use up to three unifying receivers, with a button on the bottom you can use to select which of the three PCs the mouse will be paired with. Since my keyboard already uses a unifying receiver I put the unifying receiver that came with the mouse in my laptop and now I can use the MX Master with either my desktop or my laptop at the press of a button. :-)
As for the battery, I fear it is non-replaceable. You would have to peel off the slick pads on the bottom of the mouse to open the case, I doubt they would go back on quite right when you are done changing the battery. :-(
