Plenty of Room and well built.

I was previously using another brand of backpack that worked ok but once I stuff my laptop, charger, mouse and keyboard in it, things get a little tight. I'm usually coming home with paperwork as well which means even less space.
I like the Solo backpack for several reasons. There are several pockets on the front and back and sides of the back pack. Also, the way it's structured there is plenty of extra room in it to fit lots of things. Even with all the items listed above and paperwork there was some space to add other things. It's got some padding on the backside that touches your back and the straps are also very well padded. Inside the main pocket is a large area marked "TABLET" that you could fit a very large tablet in as well as several other pockets for pens and smaller items to stay separate. The back pocket is very well padded and is where I store my laptop. Seems to be the most protected part of the bag. There's a small spot big enough for a cell phone that has a vertical zipper on it that can be accessed without going in the main part of the bag.
The camo on it, isn't like real camo and you can barely make it out most of the time. It's more of a designer camo...if that's a thing.
The only negative I would have on this bag is that the water bottle pockets are too small for my 32oz water bottle. My previous bag could accommodate it. The good thing is, there's enough room on the inside for a 32 oz water bottle so that's where it is now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Eufy does cutting edge tech again.
on November 3, 2022

This will be my 3rd eufy camera product after switching from a large name competitor last year. I have a doorbell cam and another spotlight cam. This eufycam 3 package is just what you need if you want to a. not have to deal with a monthly fee and b. not have to deal with running wires or batteries.
Setup is super easy. Plugged the provided home base to the by ethernet cord, loaded up the app like it asks and it's so easy anyone can do it. The homebase comes with the option to expand the storage from 16gb which comes in the homebase to 16tb by installing a hard drive. All videos are encrypted when they're on the homebase and you can offload your videos to a USB drive if you wanted to check them out on a laptop or other device other than your mobile device.
Inside the app settings there are TONS of options and settings that you can change from quality, clip length, alarm, detection zones, privacy zones, sensitivity, etc. All the awesome things that Eufy offers.
The cameras are 4k, the quality is excellent and they have a built in spotlight, mic, alarm and speaker. A built in solar panel means if you place it in the right place, you can set it up and forget it. Track battery, how much light it's getting etc. It looks good in daytime and it looks good at night time depending on lighting and location.
The BionicMind AI tech is way cool. You can add in people, (beta)cars and even (beta)pets to the AI. In other words you add a photo of your mother, wife, son, daughter etc into the system and the AI will detect who is at your house or moving around your cameras. This has worked very well so far for me. The AI is also learning the more it's used, so it gets better at detection over time. Welcome to the future.
This setup is exactly what I was expecting from Eufy. They make good products and are typically on the cutting edge. They listen to their customers and if you ever need customer service, it's very easy to contact them thru the app.
I will be buying more cameras as soon as they're available to surround my property, not sure on the price as of now but this system is definitely good to go in my book.

Quick heating but needs a better battery.
on October 13, 2022
Posted by: charliehustle77
As a guy with aging joints and mainly knees, I keep a cold/hot pack handy at all times. I've used numerous packs from multiple stores with varying success. The Hyperice Venom Go has several pros as well as some cons. I took it out of the box and immediately charged it up which took no time at all, maybe 10 minutes. Once fully charged I applied one of the pads to my knee. I cleaned my knee with an alcohol swab beforehand thinking that it might prolong the life of the pad a little longer. They're said to last 20 uses and the box contains 3, so that's around 60 total uses and I'm guessing if you're like me and you'll be moving it from knee to knee that means an even shorter lifespan. Once I put the pad on my knee I opened the app and connected the Venom Go and turned on the heat. You can use the buttons on the device or the app. The heat was immediate. Crazy because all of my battery powered or plug in heating devices take a while to heat up and sometimes get so hot they burn my skin. The heat on the Venom Go is not enough to burn but is noticeable. The vibration levels are steady, pulse or pattern. The vibration is what you would expect from a smaller device, nothing crazy or intense. The fun and games were over pretty quickly however, the battery only lasted about 45 minutes. All in all it's a cool little device that you can travel with but the fact that the battery life is so short really does hamper it's usability in my opinion. Accompany that with the fact that the pads are a recurring expense at $10 per pad and I had to drop 2 stars. If I want to use it on both my knees for multiple hours, i'll have to charge it a few times in between use. This one has it's place in the market for it's extremely quick heating, vibration settings and app, but it probably won't get used much by me.

Pushes a lot of cool air. App connect issues.
on August 30, 2022
Posted by: charliehustle77
We currently have 2 hvac units, one of which is on it's last leg. It doesn't push as much cold air as it should. Instead of paying the insanely high replacement fee for a new unit we decided to try this one for one of our rooms. I don't think the room is quite 550 sq ft but it is upstairs which makes it a littler harder to cool down.
The Frigidaire unit has some heft at around 70lbs, so the definition of portable may be determined on how strong you are. It does have caster wheels so moving it around 1 level shouldn't be an issue for most people. The front features your basic window unit controls like fan speed, and sleep mode. The remote is small and has the temp setting on it as well as sleep and timer etc. It has a lit display that shows the temp setting making it easy to read in the dark. It comes with a replaceable air filter and a dust filter that is washable. There is also a dehumidifier mode that removes moisture from the area, great for when the humidity level ticks up and makes everything sticky and uncomfortable.
Using the unit is relatively easy. Just pick a temperature you want your area to be and set it to auto. The unit will go to the temp suggested and attempt to keep it that way. The unit blows out some really cold air on high. We have been leaving it on high on the really hot days.
The hose gets really hot and the heat coming off of it actually hindered the AC's ability to cool more quickly. It worked well during the day for our upstairs room but took a while to cool. We may go ahead and put some type of insulation covering on the exhaust hose to help with the heat. The hose and window adapter fit a vertical or horizontal openings. They feel rather cheap like most portable units and get very hot during really hot days. I would suggest some type of foam sealant or insulation to go around the window adapter as it's never a perfect seal to your window.
The other issue I had was the app. It took several tries to connect the app to my unit. The app enables scheduling which is really helpful. I was finally able to get it connected after multiple tries. Not sure if it was on my end or theirs as most of my other connected electronics don't give me issues. Using the app is nice since you can monitor the status from anywhere and see how the machine is doing and temps of both the room and what the unit is set on.
All in all I think this is a useful unit. It does have it's drawbacks but I feel like they're the same negatives most other portable AC units have. A few modifications I think will help (insulate the hose, seal the window adapter) and will try out. It's worked well in our upstairs area, keeping it cool and dry during some hot days. The app seems to be holding out for a few days with no loss of connection so maybe that is a one time issue. I do enjoy using the app while at work and monitoring the temps. I would recommend this unit for someone looking to cool down a smaller area.

Worth the money for PC/PS5 gaming.
on August 24, 2022
Posted by: charliehustle77
I mainly game on my PS5, rarely on a PC so this review will focus on the use with PS5. When I bought my ps5 I also bought the pulse 3D headset, because it looks like it should go with the PS5. I stopped using it long ago because the quality wasn't great. Lots of crackling, connection issues and the fact that the ear cups let in lots of sound didn't work for me.
The INZONE H9 are what the pulse 3D should have been. They're built well, look great and performance is above average. You still need the USB dongle to use these with PS5 (still strange in 2022). The headset charges using usb C. The headset shares the same white color that current ps5's have from the factory so it's aesthetically pleasing if you display your ps5 on the wall and want to display matching headsets to go with the controllers. The attached microphone offers a mute option when flipped up and activates upon lowering. The volume, power, chat/game volume and switch for ambient, noise cancelling is pretty easily found on the headset and will eventually become second nature.
The sound on these is great. The noise cancelling offers similar quality of noise cancelling offered in other SONY products. I personally think that Sony has some of the best noise cancelling in the industry and still use their years old products over others. Ambient mode is helpful if you have a baby or sounds you need to hear outside of the game you're playing. I can easily hear questions my son is asking me without having to remove the headset and put them back on. I am able to connect these thru bluetooth on my phone simultaneously while playing ps5, pretty cool if you want to listen to a podcast or jam out to your own playlist.
The sound quality while gaming is great, possibly some of the best i've had. I can hear steps coming from left and right and at different levels up and down. Adjusting the sound of the game/chat is important when laying fps and this headset makes it easy. As I said earlier, the noise cancelling is excellent. You may pick up some loud sounds while using these but for the most part, noises are in fact, cancelled.
The headset is comfortable and because of the size of ear cups, does not stress the ears. In my opinion, it's not too heavy and not at all uncomfortable. It feels like it is made with quality in mind. The ear cups and head band both have a soft synthetic leather feel that grip your skin slightly better than other cloth versions. The battery boasts a 32 hour single charge lifespan. My guess is that get's lower the more you use the noise cancelling, but the battery has held up great for my limited use.
Highly recommend these to anyone looking to step up their headset game for the ps5 and PC.

Ninja doing what they do best.
on August 19, 2022

I have been a user of Ninja products for years. I have owned a Ninja Foodi that has been a daily staple in my home for many years. I recently bought my parents a Foodi as well for Christmas because we love ours so much. It mostly get's used for Dino Nugs for my kids but we use it for everything.
The Ninja Speedi carries on in the tradition of the Foodi and other Ninja products in quality and ease of use. Similar in size this fits perfectly in the corner of our counter. The design is quite different than the Foodi with a grey/blue design. The functions are easy to understand and it comes with a quick start guide that contains a bunch of recipes. There is also something called the Ninja test kitchen online, where you enter your ingredients you have in the house and it creates a recipe for you from scratch. It also contains a chart that tells you cook times for a large variety of items from fresh to frozen. Very cool.
There are two basic parts of this device. Rapid cooker which includes the speedi meals option, steam and crisp, steam and bake, steam and proof. Then you can flip the lever on top and move over to the air fry option which includes air fry, bake/roast, broil, dehydrate sear, slow cooker and sous vide. The only option that this does not have that the foodi had is the pressure cooker.
The wife and I tried several of the speedi meals. Basically you put your pasta or rice on the bottom and protein on the top and it cooks it, pretty much perfectly! We were both super impressed with how easy and fast this whole process was. The website gives you specific instructions on times and temps, so there is no guessing!
The two pieces that go inside of this cooker are actually dishwasher safe, but super easy to just clean up in the sink.
So with the speedi, you get about 3 or 4 devices (air fryer, steamer, sous vide, roast, saute, dehydrate, slow cook) in one. About the only thing it doesn't do is pressure cook. This thing is pretty amazing and for a family it's perfect. Come home throw some rice or pasta in the bottom with some water and seasoning or chicken broth throw some chicken on top and within 20 minutes you're plating up the food.
Very high recommended! Only thing I would request from Ninja is MAKE AN APP! All these recipes should be on an app to make things streamlined! Other than that, keep doing what you're doing!

These JLab JBuddies over ear kids headphones are great for the little ones either at home or on car rides. You have the option to go wireless bluetooth or use the included wire with dual 3.5 jacks to plug into the device and into the headphones. The headphones are well constructed with plastic and a heavier duty wire connecting the ear cones to the headstrap. The ear cups are soft and covered in a vinyl feeling material. There is a button on the inside of the earcups that you can click that is called the hearing protection switch. This switch changes the max volume from a higher decibal to a lower one to keep you child from damaging their ears. These headphones feel like they could take some pulling back and forth between kids without completely snapping due to the wire. I won't review sound quality because to most kids they really don't care. The weight on these is very light and although my 2 year old refused these, my oldest is almost 5 and told me "Dad! These headphones are soooo coool!". He's used to the wired headsets we normally get for him. As far as battery life, I'm not sure. They're supposed to be good for 35 hours with 380 hours of standby. I have charged them once and my kids been using them off and on for a week.
He gets to "look cool" without damaging his ears and I get some peace and quiet without having to listen to his songs he loves.

Knowing is half the battle...
on August 9, 2022

You're a new parent and you want to protect your kids with everything in your power. This kit combines the smart sock and the Owlet Cam 2 together in a nice package. I've used other the owlet smart sock before with my first two kids and been very impressed with the features that it offers. It helped calm both my wife and my fears of having a newborn knowing that the o2 levels and breathing were where they were supposed to be. This one is no different. Setup is relatively easy and you get several socks along with the sensor so you can swap them out when needed. I've learned that with owlet you will get the occasional false alert and disconnection alert but it kind of comes with the territory.
The Cam 2 is new to me. My wife and I have been thru at least 3 cameras that are camera/base setups that the monitor part normally fails within a year or stops charging or whatever. The Owlet Cam moves all that to our mobile devices so there is no monitor to lug around or replace. This camera offers high quality HD Video and night vision straight to your phone. It's offers a 130 degree wide angle of your baby. It can tell you the temperature and humidity, which unlike other monitors it seems rather accurate, to let you know the room is comfortable. It offers alerts for motion and sound detection as well. This thing is pretty awesome.
The Dream app actually guides you to when your babys next nap might go down. All you have to do is log in his/her nap times and it keeps track of when the next nap might happens so you can avoid the cranky baby.
My wife and I swear by the owlet products and recommend them to parents who cherish a good nights sleep. The new features on the app just add to the exceptional products offered by Owlet.

Powerful Sleek Designed Laptop from Dell
on August 9, 2022
Posted by: charliehustle77
The Dell XPS 15 15.6” FHD+ laptop is an admirable performer in it’s class. I think this is a good choice for a student or a professional looking to get a good processor and a bright screen with a few other functions. I think most major corporations have caught on to the unboxing appeal for consumers. The laptop arrives in a sleek matte black box that holds the laptop which is wrapped in a nice opaque clear wrapper. Included in the package is the documentation, a charging adapter and a USB-C to USB-A HDMI adapter. The laptop is relatively slim and has a sleek backlit keyboard. The mouse pad on this laptop is unusually large and actually a welcome improvement for me. I normally use a Bluetooth mouse but have stuck to using just this mouse pad and I actually like it. It offers fingerprint recognition and facial recognition to unlock.
Setup on this laptop was super easy and took a minimal amount of time to enter all my info in and get it up and running.
The screen looks great at 1920x1200. Large, colorful and bright with minimal bezel. The keypad feels rather scrunched together but maybe because I’m used to using a larger keyboard on a daily basis. This doesn’t feel like a cheapo plastic laptop, it feels premium as it should. The inputs are 3 usb-c, which is …annoying. I get that everyone wants to move to USB-c and it’s happening but for all of us who still appreciate the normal USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port, this is a huge bummer. Of course they have included the adapter, which will eventually be lost and I’ll be buying another one. There seems to be room for these relatively small inputs but I guess it wasn’t in the cards for this laptop.
Performance for this Dell is great. The Intel processor is speedy and everything feels very snappy and quick. The laptop boasts a GeForce RTX with 4GB memory which is good enough for light gaming and regular usage. This isn’t a gaming laptop, it’s a work/student laptop that can handle some games. 512gb storage is good, not great for the price. Battery life is ok, not great but I normally keep my laptop stationary for the most part so it stays charged up. There are of course, eco settings that can help extend your battery life a bit.
All in all I would recommend this laptop to any student or professional looking to get a high quality unit that will last (I still have old dells that hold up well even today) over the years. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop go ahead and look at another laptop. I won’t remove a star for the cons (lack of HDMI, USB 3.0) because those are known facts about the laptop, not something that popped up in review. Great laptop, go for it!

Excellent Recovery Boot System
on July 20, 2022
Posted by: charliehustle77
The older I get the more important it is to get up and move. Over the past year I've taken fitness more seriously than ever. Walking, running and weightlifting have been a part of my personal health. The thing that always keeps me away from being consistent are time and recovery. Gone are the days that I play full court basketball for hours on end and then wake up and have a normal day. Recovery, stretching, hydrating are all a part of my life.
These boots, when used consistently are a wonderful recovery tool. At 5' 10" they fit perfectly my legs perfectly. Not too high or low on my body and not too tight which was an issue with a previously owned recovery system I owned. The quality of the Normatec system you can feel when removing from the box. The boots feel quality and the control unit has some weight and is well made but rather compact. It came charged up completely and the batter is said to last 3 hours. I use it quite a bit and charge it randomly when the battery drops a little. Never had an issue with battery life.
When I first started using it I thought the pressure wouldn't be enough, as it wasn't as much pressure as another brand I used. Then, it got to where I thought it would end/deflate and everything tightened up even more and the pressure went up more. Amazing feeling. I used both the control unit and the app. I enjoy using the app more because it syncs with my apple watch to tell me what I did and then recommend a routine to do. With the press of a button on the iphone it just performs the routine, really really sweet. There are alot to choose from and you can tweak them to work well for you. It takes some getting used to but in the end it's pretty simple to use. Some of the routines are "Freshen your Legs" "Activate your Legs" "Pre run warmup". They also offer other attachments for hips and arms. I would love to try those attachments but they are pretty pricey.
Back to recovery. After using these consistently (daily) for a week I do feel like my legs feel better
and I don't limp getting out of the bed after a rough day at the gym. A plus is that I can go hard in the gym the next day without holding back. That's a game changer. I just had to make time for myself to recover. Along with stretching and diet, this system will be an integral part of my routine moving forward. Highly recommended.

Minimize movement and maximize comfort with ERGO M575—a wireless trackball with sculpted ergonomic shape. With no need to move your arm around to move the cursor, your hand and arm stay relaxed. Remarkably smooth and responsive cursor control works perfectly on any surface. Connect simply via Bluetooth Low Energy or the included USB receiver with a 33 ft (10 m) range.

hi, the M575 has only been available on Logitech's site in graphite and off-white colors. Guess best buy is having it now... is this "black" color really black? or is it the same graphite-gray that logitech sells on their site?

The part number on the black M575 from Best Buy does not match the part number for the graphite version from Logitech. I would guess they are not the same.

How comfortable are they? Do they feel like they're going to fall out with rigorous exercise (running) or do they have a secure fit a majority of the time?

These fell out of my ears while I was doing nothing. They don't feel secure. The sound on these are great but working out and exercising with these on will probably not be a good idea.
