Good design, bad performance

After spending some time with this, I come away disappointed. There are a couple of good things about this. But one step at a time.
The setup is fairly simple. Those using cable internet services can simply connect the cable modem to the router. However, those using Verizon FIOS or similar will find it difficult to utilize the device’s full potential and features. Connecting the satellite to the router requires simply pressing the “sync” button for both the satellite and the router. Once it connects to each other, you should have a big wireless network that should provide cover to your entire residence. The keyword here is “should.”
The interesting feature is that both the router and the satellite provide ethernet ports for wired connecting, as well as USB ports for portable storage or printers. This effectively means the entire setup is providing up to 7 ethernet connections to the Orbi system.
Setting up wireless is fairly easy. But its configuration UI could use some tweaking. It took some effort to find the setting to turn off SSID broadcasting. This is a must should you want to keep your wireless network from being hijacked. For the sake of simplicity, or perhaps part of their feature, Netgear sets up your wireless network name as the same for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. If your device is able to connect to 5GHz, it’ll make use of that. This is likely good for most users. But as a power user, I find it to be a bad thing. Even its advanced settings, there is nothing to make separate wireless networks so one can differentiate between the 2.4GHz network and the 5GHz network.
Wireless network performance seems to be good enough for the most part. To test this, I transferred a 571MB and a 250MB file from my desktop over to my Android phone. The router and the satellite were placed on each floor the house and synced up. Assuming the Orbi works as designed, I should be getting maximum signal strength and insane transfer speeds. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The smaller 250MB file transferred in roughly 1 minute, giving me a wireless network speed of around 33Mbit/s. As for the larger file, it finished transferring data in about 3.75 minutes. That puts it around 20Mbit/s for wireless speed. Granted, there may have been a bottleneck somewhere along the line. Most people will not be able to notice the slow speed unless large files/data are being transferred around wirelessly.
In the time that I have spent with the Orbi, I found maintaining a connection to either the router or the satellite to be very problematic. In fact, it was problematic almost from the very start. Many times when I tried to do something on the phone, the app I was using would time out on its network connection and I would notice my phone disconnecting from the wireless network and reconnecting. It wasn’t isolated to a single app either. I later figured out that this was due to the dismal and poor performance of the 5GHz band from the router. Forcing my phone to use the 2.4Ghz band only fixed this. And so my testing continued until the day I am writing this review up.
After coming back from a dinner outing with the family, my phone would not connect to the wireless network. I was 10 feet away from the router, on the other side of the wall. That was the last straw. And because of that, I was unable to test the USB portion of the Orbi.
From there, I shut the Orbi down and went back to my previous router. I apologize if this isn’t a complete review. But this is how I have experienced using it. For the asking price, this is not worth purchasing. There are better performing routers out there for this exact same price that will give you better connections, performance, and more options.

It's nice being able to have a Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital copy for me to have. Having seen this movie years ago on TV, it was one of the cool movies back then. Granted, its story and its action are quite cheesy. But for childhood entertainment during that time, this was a blast. Only those who have seen and enjoyed this movie would find value in having it on Bluray. The digital copy is an added bonus to allow us to stream the movie on a lot of devices, be it on the phone or with Chromecast.

Using a Chromebook is very different from using a traditional laptop. The way things work and the entire user interface is just that different from using a laptop, be it a Windows laptop or a Mac laptop. If transitioning from the aforementioned platform, prepare for a learning curve. Using a Chromebook makes for a different experience.
The hardware makes using ChromeOS snappy and quick. Startup is very fast. Using the touchpad is unusual and unfamiliar, having been so used to using a pad that has two buttons like the mouse. Keyboard feels slightly different. Whether that's due to using a mechanical keyboard for so long or perhaps due to the design/build quality of it, I don't know.

Never played the original on the PS2. But after spending a short time with it, I came out very impressed. The game itself is solid. The artwork and visuals are absolutely beautiful. The translation seems to be spot on thus far. And the gameplay is surprisingly fun.
Odin Sphere is a mix of platforming with a beat-em-up combat system, and topping it off with a RPG system to enhance the character further. Starting the game for the first time allows you to choose between English vocals or Japanese vocals. I opted to use the Japanese vocals to check with the translation. And it seems correct where I left off.
The story is intriguing, with the first set of characters coming straight out of Norse mythology. I had to force myself to set the controller down in order to properly pace myself. Otherwise, I'd end up losing myself and spending hours on it.

Linksys, a name I thought would be good. I was skeptic since they were under the Cisco brand and was then sold off to Belkin, which I personally loathe. Being given a chance to review a new router from Linksys, I’ll set it aside and start fresh.
The router is larger than any router I’ve owned. It’s significantly larger than my only Linksys router, the famed WRT54G. And it has more than twice the number of antennas on my TP-Link router. Its size is needed to not only have connections to 8 antennas but to 8 gigabit ports at the back. For me, 8 ethernet ports is unheard of in the router world, since I don’t want to spend anything over $100.
Due to my current network and internet setup through Verizon FIOS, I cannot test its routing and NAT capabilities. What I can test is its wireless and networking capabilities, and any other minor features built into it.
The AC5400 is capable of 11ac, which provides major improvements over 11n. Whether or not that will provide better signal quality or better area coverage remains to be seen. A quick test on wireless speeds on the 5GHz band showed transfers around 60mbit/s or around 7.5MBytes/s. The filesize I tested it on was about 1.4GB and it took around 3 minutes to finish. (details to follow)
Testing wired networking speed is a simple matter of transferring a large file from one wired computer to another. Instead of trying to determine the maximum speed while eliminating all possible bottlenecks, I settled for a more practical and real-world scenario. A 10GB file transfer showed speed fluctations between 300mbit/s to up to 700mbit/s. Given the difference in hardware between the two computers, the likely bottleneck is going to be the hard drive at either end. However, this is several times better than trying to transfer files using a 100mbit/s ethernet connection, which can be easily saturated with today’s computer hardware.
If we set aside the possible legal complication from using BitTorrent, connection sustainability can also be a key factor. How well a router can handle multiple incoming and outgoing connections that is associated with BitTorrent can determine whether a router is good for handling Peer-to-Peer traffic. To test this, I downloaded a ISO image of Ubuntu Linux 16.04 Desktop x64 through BitTorrent. It seems capable of handling the download streams without any issue, hitting my maximum download speed with ease. Upstream performance is unknown, as there weren’t a lot of peers to connect to with the same torrent.
As a gamer, nothing beats having a wired networking setup. However, a wireless setup can be convenient. And then there are the numerous devices that uses a wireless setup -- smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles. So far, there hasn’t been any hiccups or connectivity issues. Wireless signals were strong to maintain a connection. But tinkering with the router for 24 hours isn’t enough to paint a good enough picture.
Lastly, the price… This is a $400 hardware that is packed with everything you’d expect out of a high-end (is it?) router. Personally, that is a very high price for a router. There are cheaper alternative solutions (ie. taking two sub-$200 routers and wiring the two together for even bigger wifi coverage). But in the end, it’s all in what you look for in a router. Is this router worth the price they’re asking for? That, I do not know. But as a frugal buyer, I can think of better ways of spending $400 to get the most out of a network setup.

As an old Star Wars fan, I've been waiting for the day when this franchise will finally be set right. Ever since the unnecessary editing created by George Lucas, I have been avoiding any digital and hard releases of the first six movies. Even the original 3 I couldn't bring myself to spend money on.
After seeing this movie in the theater, I could not believe it. My faith in the Star Wars franchise has been restored. To go from "meh" to "YEAH!" is no easy task. And that says a lot on how The Force Awakens is done. The story, the characters, and the atmosphere, it all brings me back to the old days of the original trilogy, before the unnecessary edits. Was it the perfect follow-up to all the other Star Wars movies? No. It's not perfect. But it's a very good start on the next arc in the Star Wars story.

I've played through Mega Man 2 through 4 back in the NES days. The others, I never go the chance to play. It's been years since I last played any Mega Man game. Right off the bat, I started on Mega Man 2 and Quickman stage. I felt confident that I could get by the laser beams without the use of Flash Time. After a couple of tries, I managed to get through. However, when I faced Quickman himself, I got wrecked. Years of rust showed and made me realize just how cocky I was trying to take on Quickman on the first try.
In my quick play-through, I found myself enjoying the game despite its years old graphics and game mechanics. Still, it's a welcome change from all the other games I've played as of late. Something old, something refreshing, something nostalgic. The use of passwords in Mega Man 2 gives it the more authentic feel in today's age of quick saves. Sure, I could have looked up the password on the internet and be done with it. But where's the fun in that?
Seeing my Mega Man skills have rusted and dulled over the many years, it looks like I have to go back to basics and work on the foundation. And with the different feel now because of the PS4 controller, it'll take numerous tries until I get the handling down.

What is the difference between the MX55EC3 and MX5503?
$50,speed rating of AX5400 and 5300, but seemingly otherwise identical. I just finished posting a review and I do not recommend the MX55EC3 at all. Not only does it have a slightly lower speed rating of AX5300, it also has a higher MSRP. If you're considering the Atlas Pro 6, get the MX5503 and avoid the former at all cost. The former is pretty much a "dead on arrival" product and the price makes absolutely no sense.

How do some of you already have these headphones in possession to review?

This depends on the software you're using. Under Skype, this is possible as you can select the audio input line for your mic. I suggest that you check with the software you're using and view the settings available. I assume that most software will allow you to pick a different audio input line for your preferred microphone.

How many watts does the adapter need to be to allow for quick charging?
There's no quick charging per se. However, going by typical 5v lines, Sony recommends a minimum of 1.5a. So if your charger can output 5v at 2 to 3 amp, then you may be fine. I wish Sony would publish their electrical input limit, or whether or not the headphone could handle a USB-PD source.

The headset does not use Bluetooth. Its connection is through a USB transmitter that you plug into the computer. By estimation, that transmitter is a small 3x3x1in block. As for whether it'll work on your laptop, it should. However, at last check, there is nothing with regards to additional drivers in the case of older versions of Windows. On Windows 10, it works out of the box.

According to my Bluetooth setting on Android 8.1, it's using AAC for codec. I don't know if it uses anything else or if it's capable of anything else. But that's as much as I can tell at first glance.

What is the difference from this psn card and the regular one without the GTA graphics on it?
There is no difference. It's just promotional graphics on the card. It's also a completely different SKU from each other. So whenever Best Buy puts a promo offer on this, the regular cards will not get any discount. Yes, they work exactly the same. I tried that argument at my local Best Buy but they won't budge at all. The next time they offer a promo/discount on this, make sure you ask a staffer to find it because they didn't put these where I can easily find 'em.
