Are you going to be paying a premium for an Apple product? Yes. It gets the job done. If you think it's a worthwhile investment for school you should get it. If you only need a tablet for browsing and media consumption, there are much better options out there...much cheaper options.

I think it's a good investment for school. Admittedly like all Apple products, you're going to be paying a premium, but it's a beautiful piece of hardware.
The USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter lets you connect your MacBook with USB-C port to an HDMI display, while also connecting a standard USB device and a USB-C charging cable. Mirror your MacBook display to your HDMI-enabled display in up to 1080p at 60Hz or 4K Ultra HD resolution.

It works. As everything transitions to USB-C, you need adapters to still function while the world catches up. My only complaint is that it's pricey, but it's Apple.
The new Multi-Touch subsystem in the new iPad 9.7" and iPad Pro gives Apple Pencil striking capabilities alongside pixel perfect precision. Using incredibly sensitive pressure and tilt sensors, Apple Pencil instantly recognizes when you are pressing harder or shifting its angle. So you can vary line weight, create subtle shading, and produce a wide range of artistic effects — just like with a conventional pencil.

I got the pencil for my brother who is an artist and he loves it. The pressure sensitivity is nice. It doesn't feel like a real pencil, but I doubt any stylus/pencil does. The battery life is solid and really charges up quick although I haven't tested Apple's claim that you can get 30 minutes of charge from 15 seconds. However, I do wish that there was a standby mode so that the battery wouldn't drain when not in use. The only way to turn it off is by turning off the bluetooth in the iPad.
In regards to some flaws, I think having an eraser function on the back would have been nice instead of putting in a charger. Speaking of the charger, putting the charger in the back is an accident waiting to happen. It feels very easy to snap off while it is in the iPad. The included port is nice but an extra hassle to carry around and lose. I think it's only a matter of time before someone does something careless and snaps off the pencil with the port inside. It is very pricey so I'm not sure I would really recommend this to a layperson but it is a nice piece of equipment for artists.
The new MacBook Pro is faster and more powerful than before, yet remarkably thinner and lighter.¹ It has the brightest, most colorful display ever on a Mac notebook. And it features up to 10 hours of battery life.² It’s a notebook built for the work you do every day. Ready to go anywhere a great idea takes you.

I finally got a Macbook. Been using Windows PC all my life. I hated that Apple premium pricing but I decided to try it out. Best build quality hands down. It's just gorgeous to look at. It's sleek. The screen is beautiful. It has a REALLY small footprint so you can carry it around anywhere and everywhere. The force touch trackpad is super nice. It's definitely a top notch machine.
That being said, there's alot that does knock it down a star. I really don't like the key travel of the butterfly mechanism. It's uncomfortable. I really liked the keyboards of the previous macs, so it's really unfortunate that Apple is moving forward with the butterfly keys. I don't understand their reasoning of having to do it to make it thinner when there are thinner laptops out there with perfectly good keyboards. I also don't like that they put the weaker i5 processor in the base model. For what you're paying, you should get more. Also, the smaller battery didn't make much sense to me although apparently battery life is supposed to be the same. Get used to adapters. I don't mind USB-C but man Apple's adapters are so expensive.
This is a great and beautiful computer. I feel it could have been THE computer if they kept aspects of the previous gen that people loved. Kind of hard to justify the price, but if you're willing to pay a premium then this is worth a look.
Following the record-breaking launch of NBA 2K16, the NBA 2K franchise continues to stake its claim as the most authentic sports video game with NBA 2K17. As the franchise that “all sports video games should aspire to be” (GamesRadar), NBA 2K17 will take the game to new heights and continue to blur the lines between video game and reality.

My first video game was NBA 2K11. I got 2K16 for PS3 but was really disappointed that it was nothing like what was advertised (only for the PS4). Finally got a PS4 and this game rocks! Graphics are unreal. So excited.

For a small bluetooth speaker, it can get pretty loud. There isn't much distortion. Bluetooth function works really well. I don't know how far it can go, but its range is pretty good. Not really a big fan of Bose but this one isn't too bad for the price. Not the best looking bluetooth speaker but I think the sound makes up for it.
