Much needed update

Purchased this because I needed an update to my slow 2011 MacBook Pro and I hate the lack of portability with my iMac. I mainly use my MBP's for editing videos and photos. I've had it for a few days now and so far I haven't had any issues, but I can't go in depth (as far as, this Mac being able to confidently handle the workload), because I haven't been able to load my legacy programs with the updated OS. Looks like I'll be shelling out even more money :). I reduced a star bc of the extra money that had to be spent just to buy a port/hub for extra connections for usb, sd cards and so forth. That's quite annoying especially for the money spent for the laptop alone.

This speaker is powerful. We saw that it was on a great couldn't pass up deal, and after reading reviews and watching videos we decided to take a chance on this in Lieu of the Home Pod.
Although it's not a smart speaker like the Home Pod (we were never interested in its "smart" ability.), we just wanted it for the sound. Well my goodness we were instantly blown away because this does the job, and we spent wayyyyyyy less than if we had pre-ordered Apples new "first" generation toy, not knowing anything about it.
If you are looking for a portable speaker I suggest looking at this one. Once charged it holds charge for a long time. I have not timed it but I spent several days using it unplugged for hours and it's still going. However, you can keep it plugged in and it will play until your hearts content.
Once again it's not a smart speaker so if thats what you are looking for, this isn't it but if you want a portable clear sound and deep bass, this is for you. If you can get it on SALE (like we did), get one or two for less than the price of one! but if not and you have the $450 it's worth a try.

I couldn't see myself spending over 100 bucks on a portable keyboard for an iPad so when this went on sale I grabbed it.
Its very nice. I like the tray that holds your device. It comes in handy. I have a not so thin case on my 10.5" iPad Pro, and it still fits in the slot provided. With room on each side for a larger iPad not sure if it'll for the 12" but it seems like it would.
Even though it's nice and setup, if you want to call it that, is a breeze, it is a bit on the clunkier side. It is weighty and not what you would consider portable bc it's not paper thin and super lightweight like other "portable" keyboards.
It takes 2-AAA batteries, but lucky for whomever purchases this, it already comes with batteries installed. You just have to pull the tab out from the battery compartment so it'll work.
Setup - Turn on keyboard. Turn on Bluetooth on device. Connect keyboard once it pops up in list and that's it. Set it and forget it. You don't have to ever set it up again. Just turn on keyboard and switch dial to the correct number for that device and start using.
The dial - you can set up to 3 devices to use the keyboard. Currently I use it for two. My iPhone and iPad.
If it was thinner, I would give it 5 stars, instead of 4.

Now that almost everything is wifi based in our house. Our wifi has dragged for years. We had one of those stupid modem and router setups from the cable company and those are the worst setups you can have.
It was super old, as we have had it for prob more the 5 years and it had a really low speed capacity. Although, every time we complained they would bump us to a "higher" connection speed and charge us more bc clearly we didn't understand at the time that we still weren't getting the performance that we were paying for because of the limitations of the box. But we finally got up on game.
This has been one of the better purchases this year. We found this and disconnected the wifi portion of the dual box from the cable company. Now we only use their box as the modem.
BEST MOVE EVER! No more buffering, no more lagging, no more stuttering, no more switching off the wifi on our iPhones, iPads, laptops, and no more cursing out the wifi, and throwing adult fits about how horrible the connection is.
We can add so many more wifi enabled items to our home without worrying about slow connections, or the wheel of death on our laptops or phones. Such a great feeling.
It is large but still visually pleasing and the lights light up white if you care about that sort of thing. We hide all of our stuff so it won't be seen but if we couldn't it wouldn't be that hideous sitting out somewhere minus the three antenna.
Easy setup and worked right away, once we learned how to turn off the wifi portion of our previous dual setup. Call your cable/wifi company if you need help.
It's been over a month now and we still are extremely happy with this purchase. Highly recommend it.

We bought this to take better videos of our outings and start vlogging our adventures. We tried vlogging with our Sony a5100 camera several times in the past but we hated the shakiness and how close up the shots were. Also we would have too many things with us. Our canon 70D, our cellphones, our Sony and sometimes tripods depending on where we were going.
This eliminated all of those factors for us. Now we only need our phones and tripods aren't necessary. For pictures we may bring the 70d, but rarely do.
We did purchase a sturdy heavy duty extendable selfie stick to attach to the bottom to add length for those low close to the action shots. It adds enough length without extending.
We couldn't be happier.
The battery lasts forever. When we took it out the box it was practically charged all the way, we have not had to charge it yet. It comes with a nice case for carrying around. It can also charge your cellphone if it runs low on battery.

Our footage from just our 6splus iPhones are amazing, clear, crisp and SMOOTH! I highly recommend if you want to upgrade the quality of phone videos you create. We can also attach our GoPro with a separate attachment.
Once we get the full hang of it, we will be purchasing the zhiyun gimbal for our camera.
P.S. For those who may not watch tons of YouTube review videos before purchasing. Make sure you stabilize your camera in the gimbal before you operate it. If not you will be putting stress on the motors and could potentially damage it. That goes for any gimbal, not just this one. Also never turn it on without your phone or GoPro already attached. Same deal.
