Value Priced 4K HDR 50" LED TV

The Hisense - 50" Class - LED - H8F Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR is a value priced Smart TV. I tested it with a high quality sound bar, which I highly recommend, as the thin package of LED TV's today enclose rear firing speakers which bounce off of drywall, or other material behind the TV, and acceptable voice clarity demands a Soundbar or external speaker system.
The TV is super easy to set up with the onboard Android operating system. The TV can be mounted on the wall easily with a VESA compatible mount. No spacers or mounting bolts are included, however.
Generous external connections include 4) HDMI, 2) USB, 1 Coaxial Cable, Component Video, Cat 5 / 6, IR for audio (see photo detailing all connections).
Picture quality was Very Good; while it lacked the stunning sharpness & contrast ratio of a Reference Standard OLED TV, the colors are properly saturated & the result was very acceptable in virtually any lighting condition..
The included remote is well designed & intuitive; however, it lacks a backlight. WiFi reception is exceptional. I connected it wirelessly across the house from my router running 1GB Digital Fibre & there were no delays whatsoever when watching movies or TV.
Apps are easy to load; however when loading HULU on the Android system that this TV utilizes, it does not allow the latest HULU "Live" TV, where you get the local channels. You can only play back TV & Movies; HULU LIVE is not an option. Amazon Prime is another "No Show". I solved this by plugging in an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. Problem solved! HULU Live & Amazon Prime perform beautifully through Input 1. The problem was: the Apps on the Android operating system are dated. This is most noticeable with HULU & Prime.
Be sure to update the TV Operating System first before you set it up. Alexa will turn the TV on or off & search for viewing content, a convenient benefit. I recommend changing the TV name to a friendly one that you can remember when you set up Alexa.
CONCLUSION: With local dimming, Dolby Vision, a well designed Smart TV System, a thin, lightweight profile, & a great picture, what is there not to like? This TV impressed me enough to earn 5 Stars & a High Recommendation!

Fast & Dependable Wireless Phone Charger

The Belkin 10W Wireless Charging Pad offers a 10 Watt maximum fast charge to iPhone or Android phones that are Qi certified. I tested this charging pad on the latest iPhone XS Max. The charging was faster than the similar looking Belkin 5 Watt model that I also own.
The only caution is when you place your phone on the charging pad, be sure you hear the charging sound or see the green charging indicator before trusting that your phone will charge. Placement is somewhat critical. If you do not hear or see the indicators, the charging coil in the base has not connected with the phone & your phone is not charging. Simply move your phone on the pad until you your phone beeps & confirms it is charging.
The Belkin BOOST UP 10W Qi Certified Wireless Charging Pad is an outstanding performer. I highly recommend it & rate it 5 Stars.

Attractive 2.1ch Basic Soundbar + Bluetooth

The Sony HT-S350 is a basic 2.1 channel Soundbar. It does not possess Smart features; The Soundbar itself is a curved, attractive speaker. It offers Virtual Surround Technology: "S-Force Pro", but not the Dolby Atmos, or DTS surround found in the higher end Sony & other competitive units.
Sony offers some of the most powerful & innovative Soundbars in the industry, but they cost accordingly. This is a good soundbar for applications where modest, clear sound is desired with no frills or options. The subwoofer produces mid - low frequencies, but without the desirable "punch!" delivered by the higher end soundbars.
An optical cable is included to connect the soundbar to the optical output jack on your TV. The power supply is built into the soundbar, so there is a 120 volt power cord to plug in the wall, without a power cube. There are plenty of LED indicators that show volume, sub level, input, etc. These indicators can be switched on/off by the included remote.
The subwoofer bass output, when turned up full, was less than I prefer. If you select "Music" it increases the subwoofer output slightly higher than in the "Movies" mode, so I left it on "Music" for the entire test.
CONCLUSION: The Sony HT-S350 will improve sound from tiny factory speakers on the back of a TV mounted on drywall. The soundbar audio is directed forward, and the difference in sound compared with "TV sound" is very positive. If you can justify spending 2X to 3X the cost of this speaker, however, you will achieve a dramatic improvement in bass output, dynamic range & surround sound positioning. This attractive soundbar is a breeze to connect with only 1 optical cable, and can be wall mounted with onboard slotted holes.

The Sony XB32 Bluetooth Speaker combines high style with the world renowned SONY EXTRA BASS in a shapely, rubberized, new-for-2019 redesign.
I tested it with the latest iPhone XS Max. The Bluetooth connection is super fast & easy! Once connected, simply pressing the power button auto connects the Bluetooth. This is the easiest speaker to connect that I have ever used.
Battery life is stunning, reaching Sony’s 23-hour estimate.
Simply connect your phone or tablet to the onboard USB jack and the massive internal battery charges your device. This is an excellent feature that is often omitted by other speakers.
The speaker plays clearly with phenomenal bass when EXTRA BASS is turned on. The free app adds many features to heighten your sound and light preferences. The strong bass output from such a small speaker is mind blowing!
This new model, as tested, features a more shapely & attractive design than last year’s XB-31 model. The rubberized body is super easy to hold, & is not slick, even wet, when climbing in or out of a pool. The IP-67 rating allows the speaker to survive in 1 meter (33 inches) of water for approximately 30 minutes.
Well balanced sound is highly adjustable through the free app. Tune the audio to your ears’ satisfaction.
SUMMARY: This speaker is the perfect size to take with you at the pool, the beach, the patio or the garage. It connects intuitively, with no fuss or delay. It stays connected and never drops out - I even tested it out of the country for 5 days without a hiccup. The high style is sure to draw more than casual glances. This speaker earned 5 stars in my review. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Smart Surveillance + Truly Wireless 4K = STUNNING!

I am a daily user of 5) Arlo Pro 2 Security Cameras. I was very interested in comparing the difference between the Pro 2 & the Ultra Camera. This Arlo Ultra is a night & day improvement over an already excellent performer.
Like the Arlo Pro 2 Cameras, the Ultra houses a large plug-in Li-iON rechargeable battery. The battery does NOT interchange with the previous cameras, however. The big news here: you do not need to disassemble the camera, and remove the battery to charge it. Simply place the magnetic bracket below the Ultra. It is connected to a USB cable. Simply plug in that cable to charge the Ultra. Or, if you have wall power available, plug in a USB adaptor to the cord and keep it charged 24/7. If someone removes the cord in order to disable your camera, the built-in battery will keep 4K video & sound rolling for weeks! Security with a redundant power supply is a great safety benefit.
The full 180 degree visibility is amazing! 2-Way Audio is much more clear than all previous Arlo cameras with a larger speaker 7 more powerful driver.
Built-in up-front spotlight & siren can startle an intruder & you can trigger either or both remotely. Color Night Vision is a great & unique benefit..
Motion sense, detection recognition between a person, a dog, a vehicle, even a package delivery! All this with no wires at all required - it will use the internal battery for power & broadcast the video wirelessly, as well.
The Ultra is a beautifully built camera that looks & feels like total quality. It is a precision built instrument.
The base station is a "Smart" Base; it will work with all past Arlo cameras; however, the Ultra Camera will not work with the previous bases. In other words, if you already own Arlo Cameras, you will NOT be able to simply order 1) Ultra Camera to try it out. It will not work with the old bases! You will need to order an Ultra Camera & Base combination for the Ultra Camera to work. This is not a big deal, but it is better to know this before you order an Ultra Camera that requires a "Smart" Base to function! This only makes sense, considering all of the Smart recognition that this camera can perform that is very much a function of the base!
Wind Noise Reduction is built-in for the first time & is very effective! Speak to & listen to subjects at the Ultra Camera clearly, even in a windy environment!
Auto Zoom & Tracking is a first for Arlo Cameras! It literally auto focuses on moving objects & does so with stunning clarity!
You must pay for a subscription to record 4K Video. Arlo Smart 1 year Premier Package trial is included with the camera that works with as many as 10) cameras. After the first year, Arlo Premier package plan costs $99/yr, plus $19/yr per camera.
Arlo - Ultra won me over & I plan to buy additional Ultra Cameras - and will probably replace my existing Pro & Pro 2 Cameras. I love the Geo-Fence arming option. Arlo really got it right & earned a 5-Star Rating & a Strong Recommendation to Buy!

How long should the motor last? After cleaning my bottom row, the motor loses power. ♿
If you were having what sounds like the motor losing power after just cleaning the bottom row, I would take it back to where you bought it, and ask for a new unit. This motor should last for years, and I certainly do not see any slow down of the motor each time.

When are they going to release a wireless version? I don't like cables. this sucha nueisance can you fix?
Like you, I preferred the battery version, so I bought a smaller, less powerful, battery operated Waterpik. If you get the opportunity to read my review, you will see that it was completely ineffective and a waste of time. This tool is so powerful, I cannot see them offering a battery powered version because the additional cost would most likely raise it to another hundred dollars over the existing price. So I’m putting up with the cord in the bathroom because the results are phenomenal.

I always put warm water in the part for flossing but the water feels very cold when it goes into my mouth. Does anyone else have that problem?
I noticed the same thing, but since I’ve only owned mine for a week, I am playing with the water temperature. Right now I am using nearly hot water and it does feel better when it first goes in your mouth. I do not think it’s a problem. I actually suspect that the water pic holds a certain amount of water in the pump that naturally would be room temperature, and it takes probably 10 seconds for the new hotter water that you have added to enter the pump. Notice that the temperature in your mouth feels warmer after about 10 seconds? That is my guess on the reason that we feel the water is cold.
One thing I will try is to run the floss 5 to 10 seconds in the sink before putting it in a mouth to see if that warms the water about letting the warmer water fill up the pump.

does this camera system run on a 5g mhz speed wifi i have at&t fiber internet and my camera system that i have now BLINK only works off of 2.4 mhz speed .
The cameras run on 2.4 ghz speed, not 5 ghz.

Does it record movement
Yes, BUT - the cameras respond VERY SLOWLY. In a high performing WiFi area, my cameras take 15 - 20 seconds to respond to movement on a good day. Read my review for detailed reason for this. What you get in return for such slow responding cameras is very long 3-6 month battery life between charges. If you hope to catch a package thief, you will be disappointed. The camera will wake up after the thief has departed. If you hope to catch a thief breaking into your house, this is the ideal system.

I already have a full simplisafe system. Can I purchase this set for the additional parts?
Most likely, you cannot. I have a SimpliSafe system from about 3 years ago. I cannot merge the 2) systems. I can use the same door stitches, but I cannot add the cameras to my old SimpliSafe system.

No, but all you get without paying for monitoring is real time viewing without the ability to capture or save video. Please read my review carefully, as I point out that you need the $25 / Month monitoring plan to capture continuous video from the app. This fact is not advertised clearly.
