Death metal is supposed to be about chaos, and Origin is as chaotic as it gets. With their first Nuclear Blast release, their sound is in full force. Recommended.

Initially, if you wanted the Blu-Ray version of this fantastic concert, you had to drop $80 to buy the earbook version. Thank you, Arch Enemy and Century Media for putting this out so that we don't have to shell out that much cash. However, this is just the Blu-Ray. No CD is included, which is a let-down, so you will have to buy the DVD/CD combo still. But it's worth it, and you won't have to pay as much.

It's been a while since Decrepit Birth's Polarity came out, so it's a special time for their new album Axis Mundi. Why? If you haven't heard the band by now, give them a listen. The technical precision, production, the writing: top notch. There hasn't been a more interesting technical death metal band since Death, and if you haven't heard them, stop reading now. They don't disappoint, and Axis Mundi won't either. Check it out.

I can see where things got kind of weird with the band's sound, but there's still some strong moments. Mexican Radio is one of the strongest tracks. Recommended.

Celtic Frost is just as dark and influential as they were years ago, and this reissue of their debut is worth getting no matter what style of metal you're into.

If you're checking out Stone Sour's new album by listening to the singles, stop! The album overall is very good, and you won't know by just hearing Song #3 or Fabuless. It's apparently that the band learned some new things from House Of Gold & Bones, and some of them are employed here. Check it out.

Both this and Seventh Son Of A Son earned the band new fans, but disgusted old fans with their use of synthesizers, but in the 80's, what did you expect? It was going to happen one way or the other. Check it out.

The cross-over metal kings really strut their stuff on their Nuclear Blast debut. Just like their other releases, it's short and sweet, but fast and heavy.
