An improvement over the previous model!

I have definitely seen multiple improvements with these new PS4 controllers over the older ones. The battery lasts a lot longer, the thumb sticks are more rugged and have better grip on them, L2 and R2 buttons are more springy (good thing), and the thumb sticks also feel way smoother when moving them around. Other things I have noticed is that the buttons are now grey like the throwback controller and there is now a light on the touchpad. Although the last gen controllers are still pretty good, I would definitely recommend the new gen controllers for only $10 more.

Meet Link. In Nintendo Selects Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, he has an entire ocean to explore in this remake of the legendary GameCube classic. Control the waves as you hop from island to island, explore countless puzzles and meet interesting people, often very briefly, in Nintendo Selects Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

The game just got better!

It's a sad testimonial to game making that a polished up 13 year old game from the Gamecube is the 5th highest rated game on the Wii U but there is something special about Wind Waker that survives the test of time. I played the original Wind Waker and it may well be my favorite Legend of Zelda game beating even Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I loved the cell shaded graphics and lighthearted artistry and I never understood why Nintendo never returned to the style of Wind Waker (outside of the DS). If there had never been a Wind Waker released in 2003 this game would absolutely feel like a current generation game and not some retro throwback. There are some subtle game mechanic changes and some quests were modified in response to criticisms of the original game but the vast majority of changes are graphical and not game play. Don't expect to find more NPC's littering the world or all new quests.
What sets Wind Waker apart from a lot of recent games is a sense of grandeur and a feeling of an organic, living world. I complained in my reviews of Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze that it feels like game making is going backwards. 3D World is polished like a gem but ultimately feels small and sterile. It's a great game but lacks the bigness of Super Mario 64 or Mario Sunshine. DKC: Tropical Freeze is an unremarkable 2D platformer that came 15 years after Rare brought Donkey Kong into the world of 3D with Donkey Kong 64. Wind Waker, by contrast, feels big. The islands feel large and substantial and it's a joy to explore them. Windfall Island feels alive with dozens of people you can talk to. I love being able to sail around and look far into the distance at the island I'm sailing to (supposedly the HD version has an improved draw distance). There is simply no other game that I know of like it on the Wii U which is a real shame. Where are the adventure and exploration games. Where are the games that give the player a sense of grand scope? Climbing to the top of windmill on Windfall Island is such a breathtaking experience and there is absolutely nothing like it in Mario 3D World.
I still have some issues with the game. It's so easy to max out your rupees and then it makes no sense to do any treasure hunting which ruins one of the funnest parts of the game. I was praying for something expensive to buy to deplete my money. I've also had issues with the Zelda series, in general, having meager rewards for time consuming side quests. I love side quests but when the reward is ANOTHER quarter heart or a high rupee gem when you're already maxed out it takes away some of the thrill. When you're out on the sea there is a passage of time with day eventually turning into night and back to day again. There are also atmospheric effects with sunny days or raging storms but not so when you're on an island like Windfall. That always seemed weird to me. Eventually you'll be able to turn day into night with your wind waker but it would have been cool if it happened automatically.
The Wii U is a powerful machine. Just compare Mario Kart 8 to Mario Kart Wii to see the stark difference. In the case of MK 8 Nintendo did a fantastic job but I miss the adventure games. Is it a dead genre? Is a fully realized world just too much effort for today's developers? If you've never played Wind Waker you really owe it to yourself to play it. If you played Wind Waker on the Gamecube I don't think you'll be disappointed revisiting it. I think it would have been cool if Nintendo added some new stuff to the world but it's awesome nonetheless and the new Nintendo Selects price makes it a must have. It is such a slick and unique game and really stands alone in the Zelda series. Maybe someday Nintendo will make an HD version of the awesome Mario Sunshine.

It really is undeniable that this band continues to get better with each album. This album bolster that case many times over. Extreme melodic intricacies over rhythms so syncopated you would think they were robotic. Do yourself a favor and just buy this album now.

Simply one of the best pieces of music I've come across in a long time. As a bass player, I was previously opposed to a band that had no bass player. I wish I'd gotten over that sooner. I may build a statue of Tosin, Javier, and Matt on my front lawn. I listen to Air Chrysalis almost daily. Who needs lyrics when you can make music like this.

Great re-release with some bonus tracks for those who haven't purchased the original release. It doesn't really sound different, which isn't too surprising considering most of this album was tracked by Misha Mansoor and Tosin Abasi using live guitars, a drum machine and synths mostly. Doesn't make it any less great though!

A massive change...for the better!

Huge changes to the pokemon formula since Pokemon X & Y, no longer as it's strictly battle and collecting focused (although still present) as they added variety of mechanics to switch things up a bit and to bring more variety in gameplay. Changes include:
1. No HMs
No longer do you have to carry around a HM slave (s). This has bothered me in the past games as I have to restrict 1 or 2 slots out of my party of 6 to help traverse certain areas of the world. In the place of HMs there are Poké Rides where you can ride pokemon interacting with them on the world map, some you may not be able to access until you've completed mission within the game.
2. Is it super effective?
No longer do you have to look up guides online (unless it's your first encounter) to tell if a move is super effective or not very effective against the pokemon you're up against. After you battle a pokemon once, the game will tell you what moves is super effective or not in the battle menu once you encounter the same pokemon the second time.
3. No Traditional Gyms
No longer do you have to battle your way through gym after gym to prove you're the best out of brute force.
There are 4 islands in the game, each of which are controlled by 4 Island Kahunas
To get to them you have to get pass Trail Captains and Todum Pokemon
Trail captain will give you quizzes, side quests to complete, and/or fight in traditional battles
Todum Pokemon. Basically typical pokemon you find the wild, but significantly stronger and have grunts that help them battle.
4. Rotom Pokédex
Typical pokedex, but with a face and personality attached to it.
5. Alola Forms
Basically different forms of pokemon you seen in previous generations. Either it's there physical form that is different and/or the pokemon's typing
6. Z-Moves
With a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal you can use a pokemon's ultimate move once per battle. It's not like Mega Evolutions where it stays constant
7. QR Scanner.
You can now scan QR codes to get event pokemon. Also if you scan a random QR codes it will give you 10 points. Once you reach 100, you are able search an island for a rare pokemon. Each scan also gives you random trivia about pokemon
8. Battle Royal
A 4 player free-for-all where the battle ends after all of one's pokemon trainer's faints. They tally the win-losses of each trainer and the one with best stats at the end wins
9. Hyper Training.
Once a pokemon reaches level 100, they can go through hyper training which can improve a Pokemon's IV
10. Poké Pelago
Your PC Box now has functionality to it. It's like a day care sort of thing, instead of just depositing your pokemon, you can passively train them in the PC or have them search for items
11. Festival Plaza.
An online mode where you can battle other trainers and trade with them. You get festival coins for each interaction which you can spend on clothes, shop or upgrade your pokemon's stats. There's also missions you can undertake to get more coins.
12. Night and Day phase, New Pokemon
Pokemon Sun goes the traditional time route while Moon does the opposite. In Pokemon Moon if you're playing in the daytime, the game will consider it night time in-game. Some events also play out differently like different Totum Pokemon on the same island/trail
In traditional Pokemon fashion you can only get some pokemon in each version so trading is required either with a friend or if you own both versions. Also some pokemon evolve differently in each version now.
I'd say some of overall models of new pokemon are better looking than the last batch in previous iterations of the pokemon series.
13. Auto Run
Your run is as fast as a bike now, and it has unlimited use. You can now move in all directions instead of the traditional 4 and it feels very fluid
14. No Rod
Fishing is now dedicated to specific regions in the world. You cannot fish wherever you want anymore.
15. Photo Taking
You can now take Photos of pokemon in the wild.
16. Team Skull and Aether Foundation
Team Skull is the new antagonist group like Team Rocket, but they have a new style to them as they try act gangster-ish with their animated hand gesters/movements. They have more personality and have a darker tone to their backstory and mission.
Aether Foundation is the opposite of Team Skull as thier mission is to cure injured and hurt pokemon. The group is also conducting research on the Ultra Beast (Pokemon) which is a good mystery story in and of itself.
17. Graphical Upgrade
Game looks better than the last, although there are some pixelation around the edges still. Models look more realistic than before, and the battle animations are more visually impressive. There are some framerate issues on 2v2 battles for some reason, but then again I own the launch 3DS. You may not have the issue if you own the New 3DS? It's a turn-based system so it doesn't really matter much in terms of gameplay, but the slow down is noticeable
-Returning mechanics:
Pokebank return, you can now transfer all your pokemon to Sun and Moon
Clothing Options: Although more options are available, it still feel very limited.
Mega Evolutions return, but none for new pokemon from what i've discovered
Pokemon Refresh: don't remember if it's in the last game, but you can groom your pokemon in your party
If you discover more changes, please put in comment below.
Overall, love the changes to the traditional formula as it gives the Pokemon Series a nice refresh and is more streamline to play.

Really good for a console MMO.

I've been a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls games for a while, and decided to give this a try since the Gold Edition came out. I had faith that they would have done a good job converting the Elder Scrolls world into an MMO, but was very hesitant as to how this would work on a console.
Being an MMO fan since Everquest/World of Warcraft days, I couldn't imagine not being able to type while playing. You can use a keyboard with the PS4 for this if you want, but the game plays really well without it. There are enough ways to travel/craft/buy/sell things without having to type so I haven't had any issue with this so far. Also, in dungeons, most people seem to have headsets (at least that I've grouped with) so communication isn't an issue.
As a new player I wasn't familiar with dungeon mechanics, but with the One Tamriel update you can join the dungeon queue and be grouped with people of all levels. Everyone has been super helpful explaining fights and I have yet to run into anyone who wasn't willing to help.
The game plays very smooth. I haven't had any sort of lag even in the larger cities or during boss fights with a lot of particles on the screen at one time. It seemed a bit overwhelming at first but after a few hours I began to get the hang of combat mechanics/crafting/questing etc. Some of the quest lines are very detailed if you take the time to listen/read what's going on in the quests. Even the side quests seem to have a decent story to them which really enriches the experience within the game.
A huge update went live mid October 2016 where you can bring your character just about anywhere and everything scales to your level. I think this has been a huge improvement and gives a ton of freedom to the game. It also really helps if you have friends that play, as you don't have to stay in the same general level range in order to group and do content that suits both your levels. Instead you can level ahead or lag behind and both parties will still get experience/gear/be effective when grouped. My friend plays less than I do so he's about 10 levels behind or so and we have no issue porting over to the other and grouping up.
The game is built to allow you to play the way that you want. Regardless of your class selection you can wear heavy/medium/light armor, tank/dps/heal, and use whatever weapons that suits your playstyle. There are some combinations that work better than others, and although I haven't reached late game content I'm sure this is more prevalent there...but the majority of the game allows you to play how you want and have fun.
Lastly, if you're just looking for a new Elder Scrolls game and have no interest in grouping, this is still a fantastic buy. You don't have to group or talk to anyone if you don't want to - there is a TON of content that can be done solo and you can spend your time just questing and exploring/building up your character. For the hours of game play that this offers there is really nothing to lose buy picking it up.

Skyrim was excellent before, i mean truly excellent. But this is on another level and combined with Mods it makes for a great time. If you never played the first one and are interested in this one I can 100% give you the nod. Skyrim is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I have been gaming since Atari so I have some sample size. The mod restrictions on PS4 are really bogus and blame Sony for that one but as of right now there are still 38 mods on Bethesda.net for PS4 which is enough for me and it grows every day.
