Not worth the price

I purchased this sound bar to go with all my other Sonos speakers (which I love) throughout the house. I wanted to use it in the bedroom for the TV and also use it in place of Play 1 speakers for music (kill 2 birds with one stone). For music it sounds as good if not better than my Play 1 speakers. But for TV, without a separate subwoofer, the bass comes directly at you from the bar and it just does not sound right. The bass should surround you and you shouldn't be able to tell where it is coming from. This cost 700.00 and then they want you to buy the separate subwoofer at another 700.00. It also only has an optical input, no HDMI, so there are limits on what it can process. Has same high quality as other Sonos products, but I exchanged it for a Sony sound bar with wireless subwoofer for 400.00 and it sounds so much better, has 4K pass though with 3 HDMI ports, different sound modes, adjustment to boost dialog, and many more features. 1400.00 compared to 400.00 and Sony sounds so much better and tons more features. Sonos should offer this bar with the wireless subwoofer at the same price (700.00) and it probably would be a winner. The other major miss is that you can't adjust the Bass and Treble separately based on whether the sound is from the TV (optical in) or from the network (playing music). So you have to keep adjusting it back and forth, big miss. Don't get me wrong its not like the sound is horrible, just not worth 700.00

This is a fantastic remote. I took all my remotes (TV,Cable Box,Apple TV, Ruku Ultra, Blu-ray Player) and now have one remote that controls everything. It does take time if you really want to customize it, but worth it. I love the touch screen favorites for my channels. All the Hard buttons on the remote cover all the basics needed for TV, DVR, Program Guide, Volume, etc. This works great with Amazon Echo too. The Harmony skill integrates and I can turn my TV on and off, have it change channels, volume, etc without even touching remote. It even controls my Hue lights. It has 2 separate buttons for that or you can include it in an activity to auto turn on and off lights at any dimmer setting. The activities are the best because now when I pick when all the right components turn on and inputs switch automatically.
The only things for improvement would be a stronger backlight on the keys and maybe a matte finish instead of gloss which shows fingerprints all the time. Also, there are really not great help guide for programming it, so I fumbled on a few things until I figured them out and got them to work. The Logitech forum was a huge help. Don't give up though it will work! Oh and of course the crazy price. Its overpriced for sure. I actually have the hub hidden in a piece of furniture and it points at the whole TV area, so no need to use the IR repeaters. The IR strength is excellent. The remote communicates by RF to the hub so no need to even point the remote at TV area.

If I take it home and plug it in will it work without a Smart or I phone ?
Technically you do not need a smart phone. There is a PC version of the app you can use to setup your account and settings. However it must be a wi-fi enabled pc/laptop.

Anything you can do now on your cable box remote can be programmed.
I have my Sony TV, Comcast DVR, Roku Ultra, Blu-Ray player, Apple TV and programmed and have 100% of the features (including a 30 sec skip for commercials on DVR)
It takes time, but if you program it correctly you do not lose anything. I also check next day forward and back on program guide and also scheduled recordings

Will the Elite remote control the new Roku Ultra?
Yes it works fantastic. I have a activity setup, I just hit the touchscreen and it turns on Roku and switches TV input. You have 100% of functions.
This remote can control anything. If its not in the Harmony Database (which would be very rare) you can manually program from any remote.

Yes this should work, the bridge connects to your wireless network and then you plug the Ethernet cable from the bridge to the tv.
