i only wish that Paramount had put all the extras for Star Trek: Into Darkness in one collector's edition before now. This dealer with this exclusive and that dealer with their exclusive. It gets old real quick.

Great Blu-ray Disc. A good demo for your system. Plenty of bass and as always, such great music. Only complain, is it was too short. I would have loved an even longer finale for the 11th Doctor's final episode.

What's not so great: I wish the BBC was still producing their individual episode full-length documentaries.

This Pioneer BDR-XD05S external drive allows you to archive up to 128GB of data on BD-R QL media and up to 100GB of data on BD-R TL media, plus supports DVD and CD formats, so you can burn your favorite movies and music to discs.

Is this compatible with Macbook?

I use mine with a MacBook Pro. Be aware you need two available USB ports, as there is no external power supply. If found it useful for ripping CD3 and shaped CDs since this unit has a spindle and is not a slot load like most other USB writers these days.

will this drive work on usb 2.0?

does this drive, only work with a usb 3.0 pc input?

It actually requires two USB ports, not exactly sure why, but I have used it on two different MacBook Pros, one with USB 3.0 and one with USB 2.0. Both work flawlessly.

It worked out the box for my Macs, and I do not recall if it came with a CD-ROM with firmware, but you download a Windows Driver utility from Pioneer's site.
