Typical role for Tom Hanks and he nailed it! Hanks seems to thrive in roles that demand factual, historical commitment and this was a prime example. Sully became an iconic hero for that one snapshot in time, despite a long and professional career that I am sure had many other high points. Tom Hanks brings that moment to the forefront and shares it with us all, thank you.
The reviews were right on this one, lacked charisma and some of the details that made Tarzan, Tarzan. I was looking for a little more background of his origin being upgraded with our better CGI and was disappointed. The visual were well done and the plot, while transparent, was well thought out.
Take home the influential sci-fi trilogy that revolutionized action cinema with this release featuring The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions.
Kevin Costner carries this movie on his back from the get-go. I like Costner movies period and this was no exception. I got the feel of a "Face Off" style Nickolas Cage role, which I liked, but with a Hannibal Lector twist.
Not a fan of the back and forth of a story line and this one, while well acted got confusing quickly and I never seemed to get 'involved' with the characters.
I am starting to like Ben Affleck more and more. This role was perfect for his quiet demeanor and casts a light on real life situations. I liked the nice, balanced blend of action and techno drama.
Statham has become the latest Charles Bronson styled action hero and is keeping the faith. I like Bronson in the original Mechanic and Jason reprises his role to a higher degree. I could see Bronson as the Transporter as well so the match in styles is perfect. The interaction between our hero and the Inspector is typical of the relationship one would expect from a vigilante type and LE.
Brosnan seems to have found life after Bond in some of his more recent movies. He never fails to provide the right amount of action commiserate with his maturity. While many details are not accurate and some mistakes made are too obvious, I enjoyed this movie a lot.
Do not like Ellen's soapbox but enjoy some of the voice over efforts she does and this was one of the best. These kind of movies let you escape reality in the now while still letting life's lessons be learned. Fast, action packed and funny make them a delight to enjoy a family experience with.
I am a big Travolta fan, especially in action movies and this one let me down bigtime. It seems as if both Travolta and Willis have lent their time, not much effort, to some "B" grade movies only for the marketing dollars and that is sad. I had to watch 'From Paris with Love" to get my Travolta back.
