As a longtime reader of X-men comics the nostalgia for this franchise is overwhelming and the creative juices that brought this story line to life is indicative of my loyalty.
Between this Wall and GoT's Wall I can see the dangers that necessitate such an obstacle. Damon's role seemed out of place from his normal characters but he did a credible job. Visuals were very good and I enjoyed the movie.
Ding Dong the Wicked Wick is back and meaner than ever. I had to watch the first movie after this and then the second one again. I missed things in both and was almost as excited to watch it the second time as the first. Not since the Matrix has KR looked so impressive.
I am getting weary of the same type of plot in this franchise. Any one of the leads could carry this movie but we have to inject the story with 4-6 characters that are stars in their own right. I do miss Brian's (Paul Walker) character and could anticipate the newborn having his name, it was a nice touch. I never tire of the car chase scenes, but cringe every time an exotic gets smashed up. I will continue to watch future FnF movies for this feature alone.
The visual stimulation was far superior to earlier versions of Kong (not just because of the advances in televisions) in that he looked like a live animal. The plot was predictable and a little hoaky as the military isn't stupid enough to keep flying into the King of the Island's reach and getting knocked out of the sky. I liked the acting and thought SLJ did his normal standup job.
Nice background to build to the present day story and then a steady climb to the intense action of the big war. Great blend of moral conflict and ethical responsibility.
Interesting movie and history will clarify whether he was a traitor, hero or a little of both. Because facts are soo hard to find nowadays, this movie shows one perspective that is different from other print perspectives. I liked the idea that we are living in a time that will be written about in decades to come and here is a movie to represent one side.
Love the action in the Reacher series. Tom Cruise has made this and MI series his and he thrives. My wife is not a Cruise fan but even she will watch the Reacher movies.
Not a very good sequel, missing the heart of Will Smith and the Star Wars vibe did not play well with a lesser CGI visual. I do not know if Smith could have rescued this plot but his one liners may have eased the pain.
I knew what I was getting but so many friends and family said you have to see this movie, so I did. These movie types are not my style as they seem to be a cross between real life style scenarios and comic book heroes. I like either style just not combining them.
