this massager really hits the spot
on September 18, 2019

Honestly I have never had a massager be so effective before.I have tried lots of different massagers in the past; the handhelds, matts, neck, and back devices. Most of the other massagers I bought were the vibrating or Shiatsu kinds, and while they did offer some type of relief, it was never quite enough. So typically I would always have my girlfriend rub the areas of my back that hurt the worst. I have 3 bulging discs in my back, and still do more things that I shouldn't (concerning my condition). So when my back pain gets pretty bad, it can turn into throbbing pain in my lower back, as well as sciatica all the way down to my toes. Like I said regular massagers offer some relief, but really not enough to make a difference. The Theragun actually moves past just the outer layer of skin and muscle, and reaches further into the different layers of muscles. What a difference, this massager not only works so well, but is designed in a fashion that makes it possible for me to use this on my own back, removing this tedious task from my girlfriend. Which by the way, she did a pretty good job, but always had a difficult time trying to press hard enough to really work out some of the problem areas. This massagers hits all those hard to reach problems, and does it fast. There is not much for literature in the box, but there is however a pretty extensive set of directions in the Theragun App. As this is a percussive massager, I would not recommend just jumping into using this without reading some of the tips and directions. The app has specific instructions for pretty much all kinds of problem areas, and great tips on how to alleviate the associated pains. It is important to understand that using this massager incorrectly can cause some issues, if you are doing something that hurts, than it's probably a safe bet to say you are probably doing it wrong. Most of the massages require a very light touch with just a couple minutes of massaging. However the device does come with a few different massager heads to accommodate different problems, or preferences. It just happens that I got sick over the weekend, and had that whole body aching feeling, where I didn't even want to move. Then I remembered the Theragun, and ended up using it on pretty much every muscle I had, even the bottom of my feet. It felt much better, and got me up and moving around a bit. There aren't too many things that I can say actually alter my life after getting, but this is definitely one of them. My only complaints about this model is that it is a little bit noisy, but I understand that doing what it does and being quiet are probably not possible. The other is that I would have liked a third level for the intensity settings, there is a low and high, but I would have liked an even lower setting, for a more mellow experience. But other than that, this device is a life savor! I literally can't live without now!

best way to clean any floor, from your recliner
on September 13, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
For the size of this vacuum, it does a great job of keeping the floors clean. It's not as powerful as most high end upright vacuums, but it does a really good job.It picks up about 90% of the debris on my floor with it's first run. Some things pushed down into the carpet are a little tougher for it to get, and obviously items that are stuck to rugs or hard floors are going to need an actual hand to scrub and remove. Our rugs get pretty dirty with the pets, and kids constantly tracking debris into the house. Plus, they are always dropping bits of whatever they are eating everywhere. I let the Shark Robot loose in the house, and it did a great job for such a small vacuum. I was actually amazed at the size of some of the objects this robot vacuumed up,..ie. peanut M&M's, Nerf bullets, pieces of toys, and chunks of papers. I didn't go through the house before I set it free, because I wanted to see how far it would make it before getting stuck somewhere. It actually vacuumed for a while before needing assistance. A few times it was from tissues getting stuck in the wheels, the other times were from Nerf bullets getting stuck in the roller housing, or large pieces of plastic wrappers (my kids are slobs just half the time). The roller housing pops out very easy, and obstructions can be removed in seconds. The tissues in the wheels were just as easy to remove. Overall the maintenance is pretty easy, and once all the oddball obstacles are off the floor, the robot can do it's job without incident.I actually have 4 types of flooring in my house; high carpets, low carpets, hardwood and tiles. The Shark robot does a great job with all the floors, and can even move between them with relative ease.(see pic of different floor types) The "side brushes" actually do a great job at cleaning to the edges of the rooms. Most of the edges got pretty clean, but some small items still remained in a few locations. (I'm including pictures of one of my tiled floors near the edge. As you can see almost all of the loose debris was collected) This model boasts more suction power than the "best-selling" other robots, and I'm inclined to believe it, after seeing everything that this has picked up. I also love the fact that this little robot cleans itself. Right after it docks, you can hear the base kick on it's suction power, and pull all the debris from the robot. Everything is bagless, so just cleaning the filters and emptying the base on occasion, is all that is really needed under normal operation. The app is pretty essential, as it lets you set up an automatic cleaning schedule, and lets you pick the power setting (either standard, economy, and powerful). It also lets you tell the robot which room to clean. It's pretty easy to connect the robot to the wifi, using the app. Then it can even be voice controlled through the Alexa or Google assistant apps. So far it looks like you can get about an hour of cleaning per charge, and once the battery is low, or the dirt reservoir is full, it automatically docks to take care of that. The robot is actually pretty good about navigating around most areas, but can get stuck in narrow areas that it enters, and can't turn around. It's low profile lets it crawl under most of our end tables and different types of furniture. The robot also makes very tight turns around small obstacles, maximizing it's cleaning area. The self cleaning brush roller actually does a great job of not getting tangled up with all the pet hair it collects.
Overall this Shark IQ robot, is a very smart self cleaning automatic vacuum. It may not be as powerful as some upright vacuums, but it does a great job for it's size. Plus it can do all the vacuuming in the house, while I'm out doing other things. I am very happy with it's capabilities and performance!

This drive is ultra fast, compact and quiet
on August 28, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7

This drive is marketed for Chromebooks, and works great for Chromebooks, but can also be used with virtually any system that accepts usb storage, including laptops, PCs, MACs, XBOXs, Playstations, tablets, and even phones with the appropriate adapters.
Although you have to keep in mind that transfer speeds will be different than advertised based on adapters used, and the connected devices.
There is not much in specs on the box, as Seagate does not typically offer the same types of specs for portable storage like they do for their internal drives.
Their website does indicate that this drive is formatted in exFAT , for more of a plug and play feature with more types of devices. exFAT is also a much lighter system than NTFS, and able to handle larger drive sizes over the traditional FAT system, up to 4GB capacities.
After confirming with Seagate tech support, this drive is in fact a Hard Disk Drive, not a hybrid or Solid Sate Drive. Although they didn't have much more to offer than that, it's probably reasonable to assume that this is very similar to their 2.5" internal laptop drives that run at 5400RPMs.
When I asked Seagate what the actual drives data transfer rates were, they basically said it was 5 Gbps (Giga bits per second), which is the max data rate of USB 3. Keep in mind that when most manufacturers are talking about data speeds they always use bits instead of Bytes. (1 Byte is equal to 8 bits.)
I did run some speed tests on my Chromebook, and laptop using the included USB 3 cable and USB 3 ports. I am including pictures of the results. I was also able to transfer 6 GigaBytes of data per minute from my laptop to the drive.
So far I am very pleased with this drive, I love how compact, and stylish it is. It's pretty easy to carry around with me for sharing larger data files with ease. I have not had to do anything more than plug it in, to use it on several different devices.

extremely comfortable quality sound
on August 17, 2019

from central new york
Popping these ear buds in, is like gently rubbing your ear, they are by far the most comfortable buds I have tried yet.
They fit perfectly out of the box, but include 2 other gel sleeves to accommodate larger or smaller ears.
They fit so snug, and comfortably that it is easy to forget you are wearing them after just a few seconds.
Jaybird did a great job making these buds lighter and better contoured, creating a longer lasting fit.
My other ones would start to slip out of my ear after about 30mins of activity, but these have stayed in place for most of my uses.
The battery life can now last up to six hours per bud. Which is pretty awesome, especially if you don't mind using one bud at a time.
The Vista buds can each be used independently of each other, unlike other models that only let you use the right bud separately.
So, off one charge you could get 12 hours of pretty much continual use. The buds can be quickly charged in the case, in just 5 minutes you can squeeze another hour of life out of the buds. However, if you continue to just use the buds separately, you can get 32 hours out of them before needing to plug into a wall adapter.
For simultaneous bud use, you would get 6 hours of use out of the buds, with enough juice in the case for another 2 charges, totaling 10 more hours, before needing to find a wall outlet.
Not only are these buds the smallest and lightest Jaybird has made so far, but the charging case is much smaller and more accommodating with a small plastic holed tab that can be attached to a lanyard, backpack, or just about anything else.
Both ear buds have only one button on them. The button function can be changed in the Jaybird app (which is quite useful).
The Vista buds offer 3 types of customizable inputs from the button; single press, double press, and long press. With the following options; "play/pause", "Google assistant", next, volume controls, power, or a few preset custom play commands. The custom commands include; play last playlist, play "staff pick" playlist, play one of "my favorite" playlists, and play "my playlist" .
My only complaint at all about these buds is how hard it is to press the buttons in. I do love the button options, but pressing the buttons in general is very uncomfortable. However, I have found that if I steady the bud with my thumb, by pressing the bud upward against my ear, that pressing the buttons works much better, and is way more comfortable than jabbing the bud into my ear, with a straight on press.
Cleaning these buds is a breeze now that they are IPX7, (fully water-proof and sweat proof). I sometimes put my buds in my pocket or drop them, because I keep the case in my car. The tiny lint pieces and dust used to be a pain to remove, but not anymore, a quick rinse under the water cleans everything up nice and keeps them looking like new.
Even though these buds are very lightweight the construction is still very solid. The case is even more sturdy, as I have sat on it several times with no issues.
I have to say that I even like the quick magnetic grip between the buds and their slots in the case, they lock in place great, and nothing falls out when you open the case.
Also before I forget to mention, inside the case is the Bluetooth sync button. Syncing is very easy with this button. However, Bluetooth pairing/syncing can only be done through the case. The buttons on the buds, do not have this capability. As the buds can only be charged from the case, and are usually stored in it, it seems sensible that the case would be around, when you want to connect to a new device. Once synced, as soon as you take a bud out of the box, they instantly re-connect to your device every time.
I have posted a few pictures of the Jaybird Run XT buds compared to the new Vista buds. The Vista buds are on the right, in each picture.
The Run buds were pretty small, and comfortable, but the Vista buds are just slightly smaller and a good portion lighter, which actually makes a big difference in the overall feel.
The microphones work very well, although I find myself talking at lower volumes when I use both buds during a call. With just one bud in, my other ear is open to hear my voice at normal levels. But, with both buds in, it amplifies your own voice, so you think you are talking at normal volumes, when actually you are close to whispering. I find it difficult to talk normal, without being able to hear the ambient noises and my voice around me, so I usually pop one bud out, while on phone calls. This is just my preference, nothing against the manufacturer or it's performance.
The sound is incredible the new 6mm milled drivers are lighter, but still deliver an impressive audio experience. Calls sound great, with very clear reception.
Music sounds as true to life as possible. I love when you are using a headset, and the sound is just as spacious and fulfilling as if you were in a state of the art theater. The Jaybird app has tons of preset EQ options, as well as the ability for custom settings. All the sounds are very crisp and clean, with a substantial amount of bass. I have always noticed that with good headsets, listening to music I've heard for years from a car stereo or regular speakers always sounds so much deeper. I find myself noticing smaller background instruments or sounds that I had always typically missed.
The Jaybird Vista ear buds are bringing all those missed sounds to life.
Overall I am very very impressed with the comfort of these earbuds, and love the high quality audio they deliver.

deep fryer results without all the oil
on August 11, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
the Chefman turbofry air fryer is not only a great cooking appliance, but also a very sleek and efficient machine.
The design is focused on saving space with fast frying results. The basket is 3.7qts, and the whole machine is not much larger than the size of the diameter of the basket, so it's not going to take up as much counter space as some of the other air fryers. It also comes in a matte black, which lets it hide out on the counter without sticking out like a sore thumb. The matte finish is also easier to keep clean.
The simplicity of the controls makes it even more elegant, and doesn't require a degree in digital appliance operation. There are no buttons, or touchscreens that sometimes don't respond, just 2 dials, one for the temperature and one for the cooking time. Making it extremely easy for anyone to cook with. It takes just a second to start cooking.
The basket has a very sturdy handle attached to it. I have had some air fryers with thin handles that start wobbling after just a few uses. Not only is the basket and handle very durable, but there is also a removable tray inside that basket that is held tight by high temperature rubber guards. The tray helps the air circulate, and pops out for easy cleaning.
So far I have been very impressed with the results of the food I have cooked. I don't like adding extra fat of any kind to my food, so this air fryer is perfect for that. At higher temperatures , food comes out very crispy and brown on the outside and fully cooked and juicy on the inside. It takes a little longer to cook foods compared to an oil fryer, but much faster and with better results than a conventional oven.
I was also very impressed with the included recipes, as some of them would not be what you would expect to see made in an air fryer, and most of them could not even be made in an oil fryer. There are still so many recipes I want to try, off the Club Chefman website.
Overall this cooks fast, with a great crispy texture on any typically fried foods. But offers way more cooking options with a cooking range of 200-400°f , and up to an hour timer.

Incredible !
on July 26, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
First off I'd like to say how nice the design is on this mouse. It is very ergonomic in it's shape and weight.
The default weight makes this comfortable enough to use all day, and almost not even notice it. However, if you like a heavier feel, there is a 10g interchangeable weight included.
The box contains extra buttons, so that you can even set the mouse up for left handed users as well. Actually the mouse is extremely customizable aside from the physical layout.
Download the Logitech hub app ( https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/innovation/g-hub.html ) , which gives you the ability to change the function of every button on the mouse, you can set these to other actions, commands, or macros. The macros can be a series of mouse inputs, any variation of keyboard shortcuts , or key sequences. Which gives you an unlimited amount of functions. The Hub app also lets you change the led lights on the G logo and sensitivity buttons. There are 16.8 million color options, for both led sets. The leds can be set to special effects like; fixed , breathing , screen sampler, and audio visualizer. The brightness can be set too. Profiles are even available, there are tons of pre-programmed profiles that will pop up automatically for installed games. The mouse even has an on-board memory that can store a limited amount of settings, in case you want to use it on another pc.
One of the simple features that I really liked was the charging cable. The micro USB cable has two plastic prongs on the sides of the micro adapter plug, that insert into the mouse, when connected. This design not only ensures proper connection, but also protects the connectors from getting damaged during use. I can't tell you how many
charging cables I have replaced because of connectors failing after extended use. I also love that the wireless adapter plugs into the micro USB plug, to give you a better wireless signal
by letting you place the adapter closer to the mouse pad. At full charge the mouse can last 140 to 180 hours. However if that doesn't seem adequate enough for you, Logitech has
you covered with their optional wireless charging mouse pad, giving you unlimited wireless game play !
So not only does the mouse look cool, have great battery life and customization, but it also works just as incredible as it looks.
The tracking DPI can be set on the fly, with two dedicated buttons, to a range between 100 and 16,000 DPI , with a max acceleration > 40G2
and a max speed > 400 IPS2.
The Wireless LIGHTSPEED connection is just as fast as it's USB connection at 1ms, which really is lightspeed, especially when compared to other gaming mice,
that typically fall around 5ms. Not only is this wireless mouse fast, but it's extremely accurate.
I even really like this mouse for drawing and photo editing software, it's way more accurate than standard mice and lets you actually create smooth lines.
It's almost like having your hand directly on the media. Cutting and pasting objects is a lot easier, with less error on edge selections.
Very impressive results all the way around !

exceptional prints with 1 year of ink!
on July 20, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
and a 2 year warranty
The new inkvestment tanks are twice as large as most other cartridges. They put out about 7.5 times the yield of typical ink tanks.( 200 pages)
The new inkvestment tanks system, works by taking the ink from the disposable cartridges and transfers it into permanent ink tanks inside the printer.
Brother boasts an impressive 1 year of printing with the new tank capacities, (before needing to buy more ink), right out of the box. **with an estimated 1500 pages per month, of typical printing
replacement cartridges can be bought with 1500 to 6000 page yields, and are very easy to install.
It usually takes about 7 minutes after installing new ink cartridges to transfer the ink to the tanks.
This printer also has a "Page Gauge" that gives you a pretty accurate idea on how many pages are left to print, before needing more ink.
The design is very similar to past models, except for a small extension off the right of the machine, for the ink tank system.
The display is a color 1.8" screen. (non touch screen)
the control panel also tilts to make the screen and buttons easier to see and access.
Aside from the inkvestment tanks, the printer also has a "Web" button in which you can login into most of the popular cloud storage services,
and scan files or images directly to them, as well as send emails. Depending on which service you link to the printer, you might need to give
permission and register your new device through your phone or pc's web browser.
mobile printing services work with Airprint, google cloud, Brother smartphone apps, Mopria, and Wifi direct.
Even though the paper tray can hold 150pages, the output tray can only fit 50pages. (so be cautious of large print jobs)
the ADF tray holds a max of 20 sheets.
Scan resolutions include;
1200 x 2400 dpi for optical, and
19200 x 19200 interpolated
2-sided printing
with print resolutions maxing out at 6000 x 1200dpi
printing 10ppm of color , and
12ppm for black and white
The print quality is really good, I compared the prints with an older Brother Laser printer, even though the laser
prints had darker blacks, the J805DW printed a sharper image, with an overall better look.
Borderless Color photos took at least 5 minutes or more, and had exceptional quality. The prints looked like they
were just done at a photo lab.
OEM inks offer fade and colorfast resistance. However, the longevity is more so determined by the archival quality of
the paper used, and how the paper is physically handled. If all conditions are good, you could end up with
prints lasting 70 to 80 years.
So far very impressed with the quality, and the features!

Great features and video
on July 18, 2019
Posted by: Aaronxx7
from central new york
I would like to mention that this dash cam actually has a lot of great features, and a high quality metal design.
The camera itself feels very solid, and has a good weight to it. It, not like some cheap models that feel like they'd blow out your window.
The cam comes with a magnetic mount between the camera and base. Making it capable to remove the camera after an incident, and record a quick video or snapshots of the outside of your vehicle, and the surrounding location.
Because of the larger resolution (1440p), I really would not recommend using any SD cards smaller than 128GB. I tried the unit with a 32GB card, removed the duplicate file recording feature, and still could not view any recordings from the previous day, because that footage had already been re-written over. It looks like I was getting 2.5hrs of video for 30GB of space, at full resolution.
Because Nextbase is pretty popular, they do have some accessories that can enhance your DVR, primarily a backup camera, cabin view or rear window camera. All of these options are hard wired directly into the extra video port on the side of your camera. ( I am not sure how these accessories would record in conjunction with your main camera view, as I do not have any of them, yet)
I have also heard, but not confirmed that some Auto Insurance companies give a discount for using a name brand dash cam, like Nextbase
It could be because how thorough the information collected in the videos is. The built in GPS shows the current longitude, latitude and speed in every frame, as well as displaying the date, time and model dash cam. You can even add your license plate to the display.
The dash cam can also sync directly to your smart phone, through the Nextbase app. Here you can update the camera software, and view a live stream, or access saved videos.
Even though the camera and phone are initially connected with a Bluetooth connection, to video stream and update the software a direct wifi connection is needed, the app will make this connection for you, but you will need to make sure that your phone has a "download booster" type option, where it can access the internet through the WIFI and Cellular connection at the same time, otherwise the update process would most likely have to be done manually by downloading the file on your PC and transferring it to the SD card.
-If your phone is set to only use data from just one connection, you will continue to get an error, this is because your phone is connected to the camera through the wifi, but also trying to use the data through the wifi. (which in this case, has no internet signal)
I also had a bit of time trying to connect the Alexa feature to my phone. If you have problems at first with this feature, restart both your phone and the camera. Then navigate the dash cam settings to the Alexa options, when you get to the screen that gives you a barcode to download the Alexa app to your phone, stay on that screen until the connection is completed.
Next on your phone install and run the Alexa app. , Open up the Nextbase app, and disable, but then re-enable the Alexa options in the Nextbase app, ...from here you will try to connect the Nextbase app to the Alexa app. follow the instructions on screen . If 2 options for your dash cam pop up to connect to, in the devices portion of the Alexa app, pick the shorter device name.
After a successful connection, touching the Alexa logo on the dash cam screen, will cause a short beep, and Alexa will await your command. (note, that you can just say the word Alexa after everything is connected properly)
***** The Alexa app, will add specific skills for the dash cam SOON, but as of right now, the Alexa features to control the dash cam are not yet active. Customer support is estimating 2 more weeks at the time of this review. However, all normal Alexa commands to check the weather, and what not, work fine right now.
The battery in the device is a nice feature, but can only maintain the camera for approximately 15mins, so keep that in mind, when leaving your vehicle unattended for extended periods of time,..i.e vacations.
I would also like to mention that customer service and support for Nextbase products is very good, even though they are headquartered in the UK, they do have a Texas based phone number in America to handle all support issues. It takes less than a minute to get an agent, and are very quick at helping you out.
The higher video resolution is nice, but you still need to be somewhat close to other vehicles ( maybe 20 feet or less) to actually read license plates in the videos or still shots.
The low distortion wide angle view is very good at providing full coverage in front of your vehicle, and along both front fenders, without the fisheye look.
now, the negatives (unfortunately, because I really like this brand):
there is no type of night vision, the camera does have a low lux rating, but no way to capture video in complete darkness. This doesn't help if the G sensor gets activated in a parking spot, at night or in a dark garage, the recordings are just too dark to see anything. It also gives everything a tunnel vision look, driving at night. Don't get me wrong, the recordings still work well at night, on anything lit up, but it would still be nice to see what is going on in very dark areas.
The mount, while very sturdy, lacks the ability to swivel in all directions. It lets you pivot the camera up and down, and then slightly to the right and left. I really wanted to try to mount my camera in a less obtrusive location on my window. I tried to put the suction cup upside down, to snug everything to the top of my window, but this was not possible, due to the limited swivel capabilities of the mount. Neither could I place the mount at a side angle. The only position available is the original upright one.
The G sensor by default, for some reason registers bumps in the road, as me hitting the " protect video" button on the cam. There is absolutely nothing even close to hitting this on my window, and the bumps in the road are not even that bad, but I have a lot of unintentionally saved protected videos, which is kind of a problem for recording space, and it also makes it tougher to find videos that you actually wanted to save. ( there is an adjustment for the G sensor sensitivity, but this will effect the parking monitor feature)
Overall this dash cam offers great HD video, with minimal effort on your part. Once connected to the cars power, it automatically records every time you start the vehicle up, and stops shortly after the vehicle shuts off. However if you like features, like the rest of us, -- this is the first dash cam to offer up all these options in the same device; GPS details, 1440p video , Alexa , app streaming and sharing, parking monitor, and emergency SOS with location alerts.

great quality video, and night vision

The night vision is actually very good, even at long distances.
It is supposed to be able to see 100ft at night, which I haven't measured the distance, but I think that's pretty accurate.
So far all the video saved has been very high quality. The system does capture all the night vision in black and white, but anything with artificial or daylight is in full color.
While none of these cameras have a mic for audio recording, there is an audio input for an optional mic input on the back of the DVR.
For first time users, this system may seem a little too complicated, but if you follow the initial wizard, and don't change too many settings it should be pretty easy to get up and running.
My biggest word of advice is to make sure you have the correct Defender app installed for your system. I accidentally downloaded the Defender HD app for android, and spent a couple days trying to troubleshoot my network, and internet, because the app recognized my system, and had it listed in the devices, but would not complete a valid connection to use the features. The app never said it was incompatible with this system, just kept giving me connection errors.
So make sure you download the "Defender 24-7" app, for the 4k systems. Once I finally got my phone connected, the app worked like a breeze, it was very easy to live view any or all of my cameras, and view past recordings.
The DVR itself comes with a mouse, and HDMI cable to connect to a monitor, to view the cameras, change the settings, and edit recordings.
The cameras can be set to constant recording, or motion activated recording. You can even block out grids on each individual camera as an ignore zone, where it will not respond to action in those areas.
When motion is detected the device will record it, and if set up, the DVR will email you , to notify you of motion in the designated areas.
There are a lot of other settings and options to customize your experience. The other thing that I like is that you can set up a password for access to recordings and settings, preventing unauthorized viewings( even on the app)
You can set up motion notifications to go out to more than 1 user, to alert several people of the potential threat or issue.
Just as another side note, the system does not have a wifi card, so the internet needs to be hard wired to the DVR, however because I didn't want to run additional cables through my house, I grabbed an unused router, and set it to "bridge" mode, and then connect my DVR to that. It works great, even with the mobile app.
Overall, I have been very impressed with video quality, and motion alerts. I love how quickly the app connects, and lets you live view your cameras ( other security systems have been known to lag, or freeze up during this action) . I also like how easy it is to share video clips from your phone, and back up all the camera videos ( in full resolution) to a usb flash drive. The only thing that could make this system better, would be to include mics on the cameras.

Excellent performance for mid range gaming laptop
on June 26, 2019

This years new edition to Acer's gaming laptop lineup has many improvements over last years mid range options.
The design is almost exactly the same, with the sporty aerodynamic look , red highlights, and red back light keyboard. Except that this model is slightly smaller, they have trimmed the design for a smaller bezel around the screen. Keeping the same size screen, but tailoring the rest of the laptops size to match that. Which gives the design a sleeker look. The screen resolution is still 1080p, but offers a better color spectrum over last years models,
The ports are pretty much the same 3 usb, 1 usb type-C , HDMI , Ethernet, and headphone jack. Sadly this model does not have a memory card reader.
The speakers are stereo but don't seem to be as loud as last years R5ED model, but still sufficient.
With that said, everything else seems to be an improvement.
The combination of the SSD and the 1TB hard drive is a good mix of both worlds. Achieving virtually instant on, and quicker load times for windows and important system apps, while still keeping a large hard drive capacity giving gamers the ability to keep several high capacity games loaded and ready to go.
The combination of the i5-9300H and GTX 1650 , produces excellent results for a mid range laptop. Almost everything was twice as fast as the R5ED with the Ryzen 5 and RX 560X.
Most games ran at 60fps, including Mortal Kombat 11, and Call of Duty, with some of the more intense games like the Witcher 3 running around 46 to 50fps. But all games ran smoothly with no apparent jitter or lag.
This gaming laptop ran almost all games perfectly, expect for the new Doom demo, as this graphics card is not capable of producing the real-time ray tracing effects that the RTX series of graphics cards are. So, stay clear of any real-time ray tracing games, as they will just not load. ( Which at this point is only a handful of games. )
Novabench scored this laptop at 2084, which is pretty fair for most mid-level gaming pc's.
Battery life is still good at about 8hrs on the right power plan, but I prefer to use the laptop on highest performance setting, so that drops the time frame down a lot. For intense games, it's just easier to stay plugged in, so as not to worry about power consumption.
The Nitro 5 features still include easy access to the graphics card features and Nitrosense (which now has a dedicated key by the backspace bar), giving you manual control over the cooling fan, and quick access to power plans. LCD overdrive and True-harmony settings.
The LCD overdrive feature, provides a smoother more detailed look during action sequences, to get you a better eye on the competition. It really does reduce the motion blur, and haziness experienced with slower refresh rates.
True-Harmony settings include EQ presets to cover most game genres , including FPS and sports, as well as offering movies, music and voice settings.
Overall this is a very capable gaming laptop with a lot of features.
I have been impressed with it's performance so far.

Stream HD content anywhere with this Miroir SYNQ mini projector. The powerful LED lamp projects bright, detailed images in native 720p resolution, and a 5W speaker adds accurate audio to your viewing experience. This Miroir SYNQ mini projector offers up to 3 hours of use per charge and includes an AC adapter for battery-free streaming.

How do you stream videos to your projector?

the only input is a HDMI port, which can be used to plug pretty much any streaming device like Roku, Firestick, Chromecast, etc.. into.
There is a USB power input right next to the HDMI port to be used with the streaming sticks, to make this more convenient and portable.
From here you can use the streaming functions of whichever device you plugged in.

Train like a pro with this 44mm Fossil Carlyle HR smartwatch. Bluetooth functionality enables syncing with your smartphone, while the internal storage lets you work out with your favorite tunes. This swimproof Fossil Carlyle HR smartwatch features GPS to track your activity outdoors, and the heart monitor keeps tabs on your cardiac rate.

I am just starting to look at smartwatches and this caught my eye. I have a Samsung android smartphone and I would like to be able to download my iTunes library from my computer or ipod to it. Is this possible? Then can I sync it to my wireless beats?

Actually you can easily transfer media from your pc to Samsung by dragging and dropping files into the phone storage.
You must first connect the phone to your pc with the included charging cable, and wait for all the drivers to finish loading.
Then open a file location on your phone and start transferring the music.

Alternatively, if you have all your music in itunes, you could download the "Apple Music" app, from the google play store directly to your Samsung phone, and get all your music that way.

You should be able to listen through your wireless beats, and control the music through the smartwatch or your phone

Record high-definition road footage with this Rexing dual-channel rearview mirror camera system. The 1296p front mirror and 720p HD rear cameras capture traffic incidents at different perspectives, and the 10" touch-screen display provides simple control. The G-sensor on this Rexing dual-channel rearview mirror camera system ensures that videos recorded during detected collisions are locked.

Do you install mirror front and rear dash cams

the mirror dash cam fits over your existing mirror with rubber straps, so there is no real installation for this part.
the rear camera actual needs to be installed by mounting the camera to a spot on the back of the vehicle (usually near the license plate), and running wires along your baseboards and interior to reach the front rear view mirror. There is also a red wire by the rear camera that needs to be spliced into your reverse light wires.

So yes, there is a certain amount of installation that needs to be done, maybe 30 minutes to an hour time frame

AMD Radeon FreeSync technology eliminates screen tearing and stuttering, letting you play AAA titles smoothly, while the IPS display with a wide viewing angle delivers bright, vivid visuals from almost any direction. This LG 24-inch Full HD monitor has an antiglare coating for minimizing reflections.

Pair your workout with these black Jaybird Vista wireless headphones. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 6 hours of listening time, while the waterproof, sweatproof design helps prevent fluid damage. These Jaybird Vista wireless headphones have ear hooks and three pairs of soft interchangeable eartips for a secure fit and added comfort during extended periods of use.

Not only do I like to workout in my earbuds, but also use them for mowing. Are these loud enough to hear over the mower engine?

They are loud enough, but to protect your hearing, and make the music sound better, I always use a cheap pair of noise cancelling ear muffs with the ear buds, while mowing.
( you can get cheap noise cancelling ear muffs for around 5 dollars )

What is the play time on a full charge.

6 hours for each bud. so if you are using them simultaneously then its a total of 6 hours.
The buds can be used individually, so if you are just using one at a time, then you could get 12 hours total, before needing any type of recharging.

When I receive calls they sound far away. I even raised the volume all the way up. They also said they can't hear me well. Is there a setting in the app that I need to adjust that I can't find?

Try just using one bud for calls. These buds do not have an ambient noise pass through, because they are more used for cancelling out ambient noises while working out, so it's easier to enjoy your music.
If you use just one bud during a call it will sound more natural to you, and you will be speaking at a normal level, making it easier for others to hear you.
