Overall this thermostat has been working quite well, unfortunately, I have not yet noticed any saving on my energy bill and have actually noticed that they've increased significantly since this was installed.
The home/away assist is buggy which prevents the unit from automatically switching to eco mode.

I have to say I am fairly disappointed with this device. Initially, it was great, most of the features I tested worked; that was until I activated multi-user. As soon as multi-user was enabled it stopped recalling things that it was asked to remember, unfortunately, this is a common problem as there have been multiple posts on Google's help forum.
It was advertised that Google home would be supporting hands-free calling from the device, unfortunately, Google has not activated this feature yet and there has not been any announcement as to when this will be an active feature.
I cannot recommend this product until Google fixes the bugs and actually activates the features they promised.

Yes. Very little moisture is left after cleaning that this should not be an issue.

It should handle your cad software without any problems. You can upgrade to 64gb ram but two slots are not easily accessed, so you will need to remove the back panel as well to access these slots.

I have taken many photos with the rear camera, I think the images are excellent for a tablet style device. If you want professional quality images you really need to get a professional quality DSLR.
