Given the ever-more-common issue of data breaches, it's really nice to be able to add riot points without having to give my credit card number. Very handy! I do wish Best Buy would more consistently carry smaller denominations, but that's my only complaint!

Solid Listening

I think with something like headphones, it's important to make clear where you're coming from as a user. I am not an audiophile. I have never spent more than thirty bucks on a pair of headphones and usually just listen to streaming talk radio on my phone with cheapola earbuds that I got at the discount store. My purpose in getting these headphones was to help me concentrate on work by isolating me from outside noise and letting me listen to non-distracting music/radio/whatever to help me focus at the computer. I did research and narrowed my search down to Bose SoundTrue (within a reasonable price range, had what I was looking for), either the around-the-ear or on-ear... with the in store try-on being the deciding factor, as I wear glasses and comfort around the ears was extremely important.
That background in place--I am really and truly glad I invested in these headphones. Not only do they meet my purpose in helping me concentrate, but I have actually started to appreciate music again. Obviously, the quality of anything you listen to will be dependent not just on the headphones or speakers you're using, but the quality of the medium, type/size of music file, hardware, etc. But going back through my music library has been an absolute joy. Not only did I buy new headphones, but I feel like I also now have a whole new music collection to (re)discover as if I'd never really heard it before. Having a high quality pair of headphones has rekindled a love of music that I haven't had in a really long time.
So far, the best experiences I've had listening with these have been to instrumental works, but some of the pop music I had has also turned out to be more interesting than I thought it was, now that I can hear the additional layers.
While these have no electronic "noise cancellation" feature, I found that the around-the-ear nature of these very comfortable headphones do a great job of blocking out noise and letting you concentrate on what you're listening to.
Rather than continue gushing... I'll just leave it at this. I'm glad I made this investment. I'm truly enjoying listening to music with these headphones (and I have used them for phone calls too--works great). They were pricey compared to what I've spent on audio before, but for me, it turned out to be well worth it. If you are an audiophile with a habit of listening to your music on superior equipment... well, I have no experience with that, so it's hard for me to say comparatively how you would feel about these. But for me--I love them!

Great for the price

What's there to say, really, about a silicone phone case. They've been around for as long as smartphones have and we all pretty much know what to expect. So, to be brief:
1. The case fits my new iPhone well with no stretching or gaps
2. The case has a bit of grip to it, which is actually really helpful given how thin and surprisingly slippery the new iPhone is
3. All buttons and ports are accessible without having to remove the case
4. The case is svelte, adding very little bulk to my thin new phone
Other notes:
-The silicone does cover the volume and power buttons. They take a little more effort to push, but I like that they are protected from dust and impact.
-The seams on the case are visible and raised. The seam on the bottom prevented full contact with my charging dock, but it's silicone--I was able to easily take an Exacto knife and trim down the seam a bit for a better contact. No problem.
-The price is right
Bottom line: For everyday protection, this case works quite well and is great for the price. Is it going to protect your phone the same way an Otterbox will? Nope. But not all of us need extreme phone protection.

Requisite Accessory for new iPhone

Installing any screen protector can be a bit of a pain, and InvisibleSHIELD products do tend to be a bit more painful than other screen protectors, but once you get the SHIELD on, it sure does its job.
Any issues I have with it are due to my own installation weaknesses--little specks of dust underneath, for instance. But for the most part, the screen protector actually compensated for my shortcomings. As indicated in the directions, within 24 hours any fog or bubbles from my installation were gone and my screen is nice and clear.
The texture of the screen protector might take some getting used to if you have never used a product of this brand before. It's a bit "sticky" compared to the smooth glass of the phone screen itself, but I always get used to it fast and have peace of mind that my screen is not going to shatter in my purse.
When you spend this much on a phone, it's kind of a no-brainer to slap something on there to protect your investment. This one fits well, has "self-repairing" properties to get rid of those pesky installation bubbles, and effectively protects my iPhone screen.

Vast improvement over iPhone 4

I have been stubbornly hanging onto my iPhone 4 for three years, and was not excited enough by the 5's to upgrade. I was seriously considering a GS5 and making the switch to Android for my phone (I already did with my tablet). I desperately wanted more screen real estate and more speed, which was offered by Android phones, but not the iPhone.
When the 6's were announced, I still was unimpressed. But then I went and held one in the store and I was sold. The 6+ was too big for my tiny hands and even the reg 6 took some getting used to, but side by side, the 6 is far thinner (of course), has a much larger screen and is much faster than my old 4. Not to mention that I think Touch ID is just the bee's knees. I did immediately affix a silicone case and screen protector, though--the aluminum unibody seemed to like slipping out of my hands at first until I got used to the new shape.
Having skipped over the 5's, I'm not sure how great an upgrade a current iPhone 5S user would see this as, but going from an iPhone 4, I am thrilled with my upgrade.
Minus a star for premium cost (though, it's to be expected--it's apple) affecting "value for the money" and some early issues with iOS8.

Great Gadget, Lackluster App

I switched to a Shine after using a Jawbone up for a couple of months. I loved the Jawbone app, but I HATED wearing the wristband. I found it bulky and really uncomfortable. I also didn't like that I had to sync the wristband with my phone to see my progress--I wanted to get a quick update of how I was doing with a quick glance at my wrist.
So, when I just stopped wearing my Up, I did find I still wanted something to monitor my movement and sleep, but that would be more comfortable and have some kind of display.
The Misfit Shine is INCREDIBLY comfortable. I never take it off. it's light, low profile, it doesn't get in my way when I'm typing, it doesn't hurt my wrist if I accidentally knock it on something. It's more comfortable than a regular watch. It's also water proof, so I don't even have to take it off in the shower (though I usually do). So, that's awesome. :)
It also has a display. It's simple, using lights around a "watch" face, but using these twelve lights, you can tell how far you've progressed for the day based on your goals and you can also see the time, to within 5 minutes. So right there, my wish list has been fulfilled!
Some other things I really like about it:
1. It runs on a standard watch battery, which lasts for at least a couple of months. No charging! Woo hoo!
2. It's versatile and can be worn on the wrist, clipped to clothing, or (with additional accessory purchase) as a necklace. I do prefer wrist wear. The sport band is comfy and the Shine stays in place well.
3. It looks nice. It's totally unobtrusive and can be dressed up or down. It doesn't *look* like a fitness tracker. It looks like a nice accessory. It also comes in multiple colors, so I was able to pick my favorite.
4. Many activities can now be auto-tagged. Sleeping, for example, is automatically detected by the device. You don't have to press any buttons or change any settings. The Shine just knows. It also tags periods of higher levels of activity and auto-tags when you are running.
So now the not-so-great:
1. It is priced at a premium and never seems to go on sale. But, after wearing it--comfort-wise it was worth it.
2. For the price, though, I expected a much more useful app. There is also a HUGE gap in functionality between the iOS app and the Android version. If you are an Android user, I would actually recommend that you HOLD OFF on making this purchase. The app is NOT good enough yet.
On the iOS end, the app is functional and getting better. It does offer weight tracking, now as well as your standard graphs and data on your activity and sleep. It also syncs well--if I forget to manually sync, the app will sync up with my Shine at least once a day when I'm holding my phone. Do not buy this if you have an iPhone 4 or earlier. It won't work. You need to have an iPhone 4s or later to sync. Updates do seem to be coming for iOS, though, and they even (finally!) included some integration with My Fitness Pal, which is a feature many users have been asking for.
Neither version of the app has any meaningful calorie tracking for meals. If that's at the top of your priority list and you don't want to use a separate app for that (like MFP), research Jawbone products. I hated wearing that wristband, but the app was almost all-inclusive.
3. Activity tagging needs expansion. There are a handful of sporting events that you can select to tag activities, but general work out tags aren't there. You can't, for example, tag an activity as "yoga" or "strength" or "crosstraining."
So to sum up--the hardware is tops. I love the look, functionality and comfort of the Shine device itself. LOVE it. The app, though, is a critical component of any activity tracking device, and the Misfit app still has a LONG way to go before it really even comes close to what's being peddled by its competitors. The app is free to download--take a look and see for yourself if you like it before you buy!

What's great about it: Comfortable to wear, Can see progress without syncing, Tells time!
What's not so great: iOS app is functional, but lacks many of the features of other similar apps; Android app is almost unusable currently

I am not sure about the graphics card on this. The image on the inside of the machine shows an installed graphics card, while the spec indicates "Intel HD graphics". The image of the back of the machine doesn't show a card. What's the deal?

According to the Device Manager, the version of the onboard graphics chip is Intel HD Graphics 630.

Add high-end performance to your everyday life with the Google Pixel XL. A quad-core processor, a 5.5-inch LED screen and 32GB of memory ensure this phone is able to handle daily life, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protects the screen. Easy cloud storage ensures you never run out of space on the Google Pixel XL.

Can u transfer ur songs and photo from ur iPhone to this kind of phone

Yes--during setup, you will be prompted to use a cable to transfer things like your music and pictures from your iPhone to the Pixel. A dongle is included in the box to help you do this. You will NOT be able to transfer any DRM protected songs from the iTunes store, but any of your own music in your music library (or non-DRM music from the iTunes store that you may have paid extra for) or any downloaded (non-protected) music in another app like Google Music on your iPhone should transfer too. Any pictures or videos that you took on your iPhone will transfer, as long as there's enough space. The transfer will take some time depending on how much there is, so be patient. :)
