What a wonderful title for this film. It has you holding your breath, literally, as an audience, as the story unfolds. With so many unexpected twists and turns it could easily have lost its way, but director Alvarez keeps your focus and takes his time to thrill you to the very last moment of the film's ending. With so many pulp horror flicks out there, it is great to stumble onto little treasures such as these!
This is quite the movie! Not only does Oliver Stone render a thrilling story, Joseph Gordon-Levitt gives a captivating performance as the man himself. Seen by some as a hero, by others as a traitor to his country, this film entertains and enlightens with what leads to Snowden's decision to go public with what he found. Decide for your yourself and see this great film! And then watch the real Edward Joseph Snowden behind the scenes and in an interview...
If you liked the first two Bridget Jones films, you can't go wrong with this third installment! Both Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth return to this follow-up of Helen Fielding's newspaper columns turned books turned films. McDreamy Patrick Dempsey joins the fun! Bridget might have finally lost her extra pounds, but gains a few more when she gets pregnant! The question is: who's the daddy?!
Upon seeing this critics' favorite for the first time, I had to make do without subtitles! That was a mistake! With its 17th Century New England dialogue and dark scenes it was impossible to follow! Still intrigued with its story and macabre moods, I decided to give it another go on blu-ray. And I liked it! With the subtitles, it gives you a far better grasp of what's going on and takes you back to a time of superstition and horror! It deserves another shot!
Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass did it again! Only the original director could convince Damon to return to his role as Jason Bourne. With the well known fast editing and high speed action, this dynamic duo delivers a winning sequel to the original trilogy. Don't miss it on 4K!
Don't believe the poor reviews this beautiful film received upon its release! This film is based upon the original book "Ben-Hur: a Tale of the Christ", published in 1880, can you believe it! And it is actually a truer telling of this impressive story than the better known 11 Oscar winning Charlton Heston classic from 1959. Too bad the theatrical 3D showing didn't make it to this blu-ray release.
What a stunning film! Both informing and entertaining, with some great behind the scenes and interviews with the real Sully. Eastwood did it again, in beautiful 4K and IMAX widescreen, bringing you right there onto the flight deck with Tom Hanks and a bird's eye view! Not to be missed!
This Best Buy exclusive release of 1999's October Sky shows Jake's future potential. It has a beautiful score by Mark Isham and is based on the true story of Homer Hickam. In the special features, more light is shed on the real story of Homer, by Homer himself. The relationship between Jake's character and his father, played by Chris Cooper, is heartfelt and powerful. I highly recommend this film and this excellent high definition transfer to blu-ray!
This is exactly the kind of film that 4K is made for; lots of detailed under- and above water footage of nature at it's best (and that includes Blake Lively). Try comparing it with the blu-ray and you'll see and hear the difference. Highly recommended to find out what 4K can do to your movie experience!
The best scene of this story is at the end, when John Krasinski and Bradley Cooper have a wonderful encounter where no words are spoken and still a lot is being communicated. And Emma Stone is at her best in this movie; she's funny and a positive force throughout. Hawaii is like a character in this story and after having watched this film you'll love to book the first flight out!
