What makes this film worth to watch is not the story or special effects, but the realization this was film was made in 1966. So take a Fantastic Voyage back in time! At the time it was state of the art in special effects and shows you what was considered science fiction back then. Marvel at it's beautiful transfer onto High Definition and enjoy the insightful Making Of!

It might not be truly original in its set-up (we've seen aliens in space before - this film is a bit like "Alien" meets "Gravity"), but "Life" manages to pull it off; thrilling and engaging from start to finish. With a beautiful and haunting production (and especially creature) design and some unexpected twists and turns to keep the audience glued to the screen. My only regret is that the UHD version of this film was not available in store; only on-line. That would have made the illusion complete!

What a beautiful film! Starting off so idyllic and then quickly turning into such a compelling and moving tale of woe. Once again Jessica Chastain not only proves how truly great she is, but also how incredibly diverse in her acting skills. Compare this role to her also powerful performance in "Miss Sloane"; it reminds me of Meryl Streep's "Sophie's Choice" and then her follow-up role in "Silkwood". Highly recommended!

Right from the very opening, you can tell it is going to be a joy to watch this colourful and detailed live production of this Disney Classic. Of some of the cast we already knew they could sing, like Ewan McGregor, but listen to Emma Watson and Dan Stevens sing their songs. Or who knew Emma Thompson would be able to make the classic "Beauty and the Beast" title song so memorable. Only disappointment was not to find the 3D version of this film in store. Only available on-line. I would recommend getting the 3D version!

Then I'm sure you'll be delighted to hear it gets even better with this second season of this wonderfully romantic and delightful British series set in Cornwall at the closing of the 19th Century. Ross Poldark, played perfectly by Aidan Turner, takes us back in time in this historical romance novel set to film. Can't wait for the third season...

Now I love dogs, so this shouldn't be too hard to watch, I thought. But without giving away everything (and here is a spoiler...), it asks the viewer to accept the fact that a dog reincarnates after it passes away and is reborn elsewhere, to eventually find its purpose. This means as an audience you have to go through several lives of different dogs with different owners, basically watching several stories all put into one. If you are willing to accept that, the story will eventually come full circle for you and you will understand the purpose of this film.

Even with high expectations you'll love it!

We all know about the hype around this movie, 14 Oscar Nominations and all that. So how can you not go into this movie and have incredibly high expectations?! Yet from the very first scene of this movie you'll understand why: it's happy and colourful, puts a smile on your face and makes you want to hum along to the songs and score of this musical. I bought the album right after watching the movie. And don't forget to watch all the wonderful special features and you'll come to realize how incredible this film was in the making!
