Best Game Compilation Yet

I've bought a lot of old-school game compilations over the years, but this one by far is the best. Instead of just throwing together a bunch of games, this one feels like it was lovingly crafted for those that celebrate old-school gaming. There are a bunch of video featurettes about Rare as a company, how they made the games, and behind the scenes looks at some that weren't even released. It doesn't hurt that this is a phenomenal collection in general. Sure there are some stinkers (Solar Jetman I'm looking at you) but 3 Banjo Kazooie games, 2 Perfect Darks, 2 Battletoads, 2 RC Pro AMs, the list just goes on and on.

If you don't already know that this game is a masterpiece, then you've been living under a rock. The new cel-shaded design is absolutely gorgeous and lends itself perfectly to this game's character and personality. The gameplay is rock-solid, the soundtrack is good enough to listen to on it's own, the controls are perfect.....how can I praise this game any more?? Must-buy!!!

With the amount of action stars in this movie, it should have been a slam dunk. Alas, the studio's decision to tone back the violence in order to get a PG-13 rating ultimately hurt the overall product. I kind of wish Best Buy would let me rate things in half stars because really this one was a 3.5 at best. It was very cool to see the greatest UFC fighter ever, Ronda Rousey get so much screen time though!

If you played and enjoyed Far Cry 3, there's really not a whole lot more I can say here. The games are almost identical in gameplay and premise. Don't take that as a bad thing though...these games are phenomenal. It's too much fun to get lost in the forest and hunt tigers and sharks to get their pelts and upgrade your gear, and the co-op is a ton of fun as well.

The best thing I can say about this (or any other amiibo for that matter) is that it's a well made and great looking figurine. What it does to "improve" Wii U games, I couldn't tell you. I honestly just buy the things because I like how they look on my shelf. I can only hope they add some actual useful functionality to their games in the future.

If you enjoyed the few Toad levels found in Super Mario Land 3D, this game will be right up your alley. It's incredibly cute but definitely more and more challenging as the game progresses. If you're anything like me, you're practically starving for games to come along to make use of your WiiU. If you enjoy puzzle games or if you have kids, this is a great purchase.

"That kid...is back....on the ESCALATOR AGAIN!" As a big Kevin Smith fan and an even bigger comic book fan, this movie hits all the right notes for me. This is Smith's second movie in the "View-Askewnivere" with the first being "Clerks". An observant viewer will be able to see many concurrent story lines and themes that Smith likes to interweave into his movies. If you enjoy these 2 movies, I highly recommend finding "Chasing Amy", "Dogma", "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back", and "Clerks 2" as they all take place in the same universe. Also, be on the lookout for "Mallrats 2" and "Clerks 3" which the director is currently working on. Excelsior!!

This game raises the bar for what a video game can do with facial animations. The fact that you can tell when someone is lying to you with almost 100% certainty JUST by watching their face when they talk is amazing to me. My only problem is the game length....it could've been a bit longer. My guess is, they used a lot of the disc memory on the graphics.

Ever since the 360 came out, Microsoft has been my go-to for home console gaming. I had been waiting for a great bundle to come along to finally upgrade to the One and the Master Chief bundle was an obvious choice for me. Wow....what a game! I'm more than halfway through the main story and I'm loving absolutely every minute of it. There are no superhero games out there that make you feel as capable or as powerful as the Rocksteady Arkham titles. I'm constantly surprised at the depth of the combat system and the variety of combos and gadgets you can use. The new Batmobile mechanic adds a lot to the mix as well. While some have been upset at the tank combat being included, I think it's a welcome diversion to all the crazy fun things you can do in Gotham. The voice acting and graphics are absolutely top notch as well. A++++ 10/10 100%
