It's been awhile since Tweet graced us, but now, she's back and better than ever! This recording is just as soulful, serene, part sexy, part spiritual....EVERYTHING needed for a hot comeback! Her voice flows over her lyrics and her music is sooooo calming. Even the faster tracks have that effect. This would be needed with that someone in your life, or just by yourself, with that chilled glass of wine, and letting Tweet take over. TWEET....WELCOME BACK, BOO!!!!

I will admit, UPTOWN FUNK was the ONLY reason I purchased it and STILL play!!!! GIVES MADNESS!!! However, there are MANY jewels in this musical chest. You can tell that, with Mark, musical influences from the 70's & 80's played a part in his musical life. You can hear it all over, which was another draw here. Another one was the guest performers. Outside of Bruno Mars, there's Mystikal, Keyone Starr, Kevin Parker, Andrew Wyatt, Jeff Bhasker, and the one and only Stevie Wonder. Thow all these musical talents, whether you've heard of them or not, in a box, shake well, and you get a awesome fallout of genres gone by. TOTALLY LOVED THIS PROJECT!!!

Rarely does Angie fail to entertain! I've only come across one disc in her career that didn't do it for me. The songs on this cd, along with the strength and sensuality in her voice, made this the perfect driving disc! From the start with DOLLAR BILL, she sets the tone to bop. The remaining songs deal with love found, love lost, love out the door, and a song about a fantasy. SHE PULLED IT OFF!!! Angie is one of those artist that will bring the vocal madness and she rarely fails to dissapoint. If you are a true Angie fan, then you will be blown by her latest. YOU BETTA GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, ANGIE!!!

NOT ONE TRACK COULD BE SKIPPED!!! Avant did this! Each song had his name on it, and his voice matched the tempo of his music. He carried this to the end! He stayed in his R&B lane and didn't deviate from what he knew to be music. Each song had that flava that went thru and thru, from the beginning to the end, and I enjoyed it totally! This had to be one of the best for the year and I can only hope that his future recording come as strong as this one did. YOU BETTA GIVE, AVANT!!!

AWESOME!!! LYFE DID HIS THING RIGHT HERE!!! His off-kilter singing was right on the musical notes with this recording! Bascially, it was a recording about life, as we know it for some people. All eleven songs sang truth about the way people live and how they can be affected by it. If there was an award for REALEST RECORDING OF THE YEAR, it would be a tie between this man and Jazmine Sullivan for REALITY SHOW. This was one of his best and still got me singing certain songs right now. BRAVO LYFE...YOU DID THIS!!!

DID IT!!! KENNY WENT IN AND GOT IT GOOD!!! His voice and the music made for a ride that I haven't heard in years! He was in his element with this recording! He dissected his heart and sang the various degrees of love that we all go thru, and he made the most of it!!! Heartfelt to lost in love to madly in love, he gave the masses what's needed at this time.......R&B at it's most romantic finest, and I can only hope that he come back in the same format with his next. Of bringing back R&B music. Case did that thang!!! He came back without rappers, without hip-hop music, just plain R&B, to be listened to and enjoyed. Does he have the most classically trained voice? No. Does he have enough to pass off an R&B disc? Yes. He maintains his lane and give the listener the love, the lust, the swerve music that is so lacking today. My favorites bounced around whatever I was listening to at the time, so I'll just sum it up and state that I enjoyed the entire cd. I sure hope that he comes back with that same flava he gave here, because true R&B fans like myself would sure appreciate it!!!

Since their last release in 1995, they have gone thru a break-up and other things that would break an ordinary man. With this quartet, time only made them stronger. Strong enough to come back and do what they do best. This was like a trip back in time. NOTHING has changed...clearly not the music that captured fans years ago. Now, for me, some of it sounded like they were trying too hard, and K-Ci didn't command all vocals on all the songs, still, they had enough to put out this project and make it work for them, and I'm glad that they did.

From being a member of BLACKstreet, to going solo, Dave has sung it all! From secular music, to gospel music, and now back to secular again, his voice still reigns supreme! This outing is going back to the first CHICAGO WINDS and gives one part bounce, one part sexy, one part smooth, that it's easy on the ears and get you in that frame of mind. My favorite is track #6...can listen to that all day long, about going on the road and missing the important things with his wife and kids. It has that touch that makes it all too real for a traveling man, such as himself. It has everything and then some, and I'm glad I got in on the ride.

Now we have the new Boyz, and after listening to it the first time, I made up my mind to give it extra spins, just to get used to this new direction they took. It seems that the days of super-dramatic ballads are over. I gave it three spins in the changer. Spin one...I HATED IT!!! Not what I was used to hearing, nor what I expected to hear. Spin two...y'know, it's not really that bad. Takes getting used to, but I have adjusted to a lot worse. Spin three....y'know, I'm getting the feeling. I'm digging it. The disc has a majority of a rock/pop feel that I'm not used to, but after three spins, I got adjusted to it. Their vocals are still slammin' after all these years! Like no time has passed at all. So, if you are looking for the Boyz II Men from yesteryear, keep looking, because they are not here. What is here is a new chapter and direction for this trio, and many may not take to it, but, if given a chance, may just grow on you.
