The key word is "Multipurpose". There are so many options on what you can do with this thing! Very happy with purchase. As a suggestion, when setting these up, remove the plastic cover and pull the battery out and remove the plastic strip that separates the battery from the contact versus pulling on the plastic tab end. On each of mine this left a small piece of plastic that caused it to go offline randomly until I pulled the battery out and found the small piece of plastic.

Almost.. If you are going in new with no experience with these types of systems, it will try your patience but it is worth the effort. The documentation is lacking plain and simple. I have a two level house with two thermostats. If I purchase two of these units, will they be connected to one control in the app, or will they show as two different units. In addition if sensors are added, can I track the temp one all devices?
Hello - They will be two units, but controlled in the same app interface, you could just use 1st floor and 2nd floor or whatever you wanted to call them. The sensors are tied to a unit so if you had a sensor on the 1st floor you would tie it to that unit.

Specs reads it requires 2 cartriges however
Details show that only 1 starter cartridge is included. Can someone please clarify why the specs state 2 cartridges are required?
Not sure where you read 2 are required, but the one is all you need. Granted it wont last long but that is all you need to get going.

Yes you can, you can group any or all speakers to any source you have in the Sonos app. I do this all the time during baseball season so I can listed to the game while in other rooms even if I cannot see the television.
