That feeling of needing this awesome set that is when passing by this huge set in the aisle or gazing at it online.
It has 'everything' from the original Star Trek series, including the TV Show, Movies, and Animated Series. The only new thing here is the Bluray edition of the Animated Cartoon.
Packaging - A, First of all it looks fantastic and is well organized when you take it apart. The Series and Films come in oversized Bluray holders, similar to the recent releases for Next Generation and Enterprise. There can bit a bit of finagling trying to get the discs out, which is my major issue with it.
Quality Picture and Audio - Not much else needs to be said here for those that already have them.
Overall well worth the money for first time buyers looking to have the whole of Star Trek Collected in one neat package and perhaps a "maybe" for those that already owned the Blurays of everything except the Animated Series, otherwise the Animated Series was released separately.

Excellent classic that looks better than ever. A perfect example of good 'ol 90s Sci-Fi Schlock, but the very good kind. It's fun and has the perfect amount of urgency with the serviceable story.
If you haven't seen it at all, you will certainly be entertained and for the price of the Bluray (very cheap), its worth it.

If you're fan of the Hunger Games or new to film adaptations, the collection is definitely worth it. The Chipboard is well done and the discs are easy to access.
As for the films - the last in the trilogy would have been best as one film and while worth a watch and having as part of the whole set, the first two films feel far superior.
The setting as-is can be seen as an allegory of sorts for the real world.

Another Take on Time Travel

Another take on Time Travel with some interesting twists, and an excellent setting to do it in - the mystery of JFK's assassination.
I have not yet had the pleasure of reading Stephen King's novel this show is adapted from - some have noted the book has key differences, but since I have not read it I can not speak for what those are.
For me the series was good as a standalone with a Time Travel aspect that is not explained, but is something that simply is stumbled upon. It seems to take the approach of a 'linear' world, rather than multiple branch time travel stories. The setting is also excellent, with great sets and design work to fit the period.

Now already with 6 seasons under their belt, the show writers and producers have done an excellent job framing the various threads in Game of Thrones. There are still key differences however between the books and this live-action series.

The Finale to Arise

Follow-up review for previous 1&2, and 3&4; this will be much the same - they all should be in one package, but unfortunately they are not.
I highly recommend before viewing the "New Movie," the rest of this series. Borders 1&2, Borders 3&4, and then the "New Movie" which is more or less "Borders 5" for a total of 5 episodes. The last installment ties everything together - and in total makes sense of everything that happened previously.
For the curious, Arise (1 through 4 + New Movie) is a complete-sort-of prequel to the hit Anime series Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex; which is based on themes and characters presented in the original GiTS manga and later film.
It features a much younger Major Kusanagi; within a younger appearing prosthetic body (simulating for her, and the audience, a feeling of "age" or what might call it for a Cyborg).
It deals with many themes of "self" and identity throughout this mini-series, if a human were to become a cyborg could they still trust their own pysche if it were to be hacked. A larger mystery and story unfolds throughout as well with the Major the tip of the spear.
And of course it's done within a layer of Cyberpunk with an excellent OST. The packaging comes within a box - two films per dual border set. While it doesn't add truly anything groundbreaking for GiTS in particular, it IS a decent entry for Sci-Fi Anime at the very least. If you're fan, its worth collecting.
