People are always saying mechanical keyboards are a necessity in gaming. I thought I was doing just fine using the built-in keyboard on my HP Omen laptop. Once I tried the G513, I realized I had been doing it all wrong. When it comes to keyobard use, I have always typed on low travel keys (MacBook, HP Omen). When I opened the box of the G513 and started doing some test typing, I was amazed by how much response you get with each press.
Logitech made a really great keyboard with the G513. The keyboard is made with some great, premium materials. The key caps also seem to be durable, meaning they should give years of use. I also though the RGB back lighting would just be a huge gimmick, but holy smokes it is so cool. You can download the Logitech Gaming Software and customize each individual key to whatever you desire.
Something that I didn't know when I received the keyboard was that it uses two USB ports. At first I was upset that I was going to lose an extra USB port, but then saw that the keyboard actually has a USB pass-through port. I plugged my mouse receiver into it.
Overall, this keyboard is fantastic. I am just impressed by all the features, build quality, and response of the keys. Logitech made another fantastic gaming product.

I am not a pro gamer in any way, but I have tried out different gaming mice over the years. Logitech makes some of the best ones with great build quality and new tech. The G305 uses their new Lightspeed technology, making the mouse very responsive, like being directly plugged into the computer. It has a nice durable body and only uses one AA battery. It is on the small side compared to a G603, but if someone takes their gaming on the go, it can be packed up nicely. The middle mouse button press doesn't have the most travel, but the scroll is fairly smooth. If you are looking for a simple mouse that just works, the G305 is a great option.

The Belkin Boost Up Charger is a really nice Qi charging pad. For the iPhone 8 and X, it supports the faster 7.5W charging. This charges the iPhone a little bit faster then using the 5W Apple Charger. The whole reason for the wireless charging is the convenience. It is so nice to just put the phone down without having to fumble with inserting a cable (this is especially convenient at night). The Belkin charger is a nice size and has a good size area to place the phone down. The phone will lay over the edges of the pad, but that is ok. There is no need to adjust the placement of the phone either once its on the pad because the charging coil in the pad seems large.
If you are in the market for a wireless Qi charger with fast charging, then the Belkin Boost Up is a great purchase. The quality is great and its made by a well-known company.

An amazing TV from LG

Over the past 15 years, we’ve only ever bought the sung brand of TV. They were and have been pretty reliable. When this LG 4K TV was made available, I was really excited to try it out. I’ve heard many good things about LG TVs and their display technology in LEDs and OLEDs. This TV replaced a 55 inch 1080p TV. The size difference isn’t really noticeable, but it looks much smaller mounted on the wall with the thin bezels.
Right out of the box, set-up was simple. The remote is pretty cool and has Google Assistant built-in. The Menu system and just overall navigating the TV is kind of slow though. Hopefully that can be fixed with firmware updates.
The picture quality is very nice. It may still need some adjusting and I did set it to Dynamic Mode for a brighter and clearer picture. Watching Netflix 4K was amazing. Everything looked smooth and the colors popped. One thing I did end up turning off was the Local Dimming. It was too aggressive and some scenes in movies would go from bright to dark, making it hard to see what was going on. Even though it is turned off, it still looks nice.
Audio from this TV is amazing. We have a surround sound system, but with this TV, the sound is still immersive. It gets fairly loud and does not distort. I was not expecting such sound from this thin TV.
Overall, I am impressed with LG and this TV. This 4K TV leaves my other 49 inch 4K sung TV in the dust. When the time comes to purchase a new TV, I will look into getting another LG.

This is my first time using any Dyson product. I've read that they are good, but sometimes very pricey. But, when it comes to the V10, I now understand why people say they are such great vacuums. The V10 Animal comes with a nice assortment of accessories. I think that this model is perfect and there is really no need for the V10 Absolute unless you want two or three more attachments.
Power and suction are great. It is true that you really do not need a corded vacuum anymore. Dyson did a great job engineering the vacuum to make it lighter and powerful then the V8. Some things that I wish were more polished are the way to empty the dustbin. It just seems a bit flimsy when you press down on the red "trigger" to open the bin. It almost feels like the whole bin is going to fly off. Also something that I do not like is the power trigger. On the Dyson, you always have to hold down the trigger to clean. It starts to fatigue my finger. Maybe I'm just spoiled with other vacuums and their power switch.
The new V10 Animal is a wonderful machine. Beautiful, powerful, and portable. I feel confident that this vacuum will last me for the next few years (and if not, theres a two year warranty).

I was already using a Logitech gaming mouse prior to receiving this one (G602) so I somewhat knew what I was getting with the G603. This mouse is pretty great. It looks like a normal mouse compared to the sharp design of the G602 and has two programable buttons on the side. It is comfortable in the hand and has as nice scroll wheel. What this mouse is advertising is faster connectivity and better tracking, which it delivers. And although I haven't been able to fully test it, battery life is tremendous for this gaming mouse. If you are looking for a long lasting mouse with great tracking and simple buttons, then the G603 is the one to get.

Tough on bad guys. Easy on you.The Nest Secure alarm system is easy to live with every day. Just tap Nest Tag on Nest Guard to arm and disarm the alarm - no passcode needed. Nest Detect sensors look out for doors, windows and rooms. And with the Nest app, you can keep an eye on what matters.

Great Build Quality, but Expensive

I wanted to take my time to throughly use the Nest Secure system before I wrote my review. Nest makes some great products. Their build quality is always great and the devices they make are very intuitive to use. With the Secure system, Nest entered a market that has some competition from big players like ADT to cheaper solutions like SimpliSafe. Below are what I feel are the Pros and Cons of the system.
Pros:
-Easy to use Base Station (Guard) with ability to add different codes for family
-Cool keychain attachment (Tag) to disarm the system without a code
-Included sensors (Detect) have motion sensing and a little light built in, as well as sensing if the windows or doors are opened
-Ease of installing system and adding devices using the Nest app.
-Ability to monitor home while away for free, without any monthly fee
-Loud siren
-Easy to use Base Station (Guard) with ability to add different codes for family
-Cool keychain attachment (Tag) to disarm the system without a code
-Included sensors (Detect) have motion sensing and a little light built in, as well as sensing if the windows or doors are opened
-Ease of installing system and adding devices using the Nest app.
-Ability to monitor home while away for free, without any monthly fee
-Loud siren
Cons:
-Expensive: This bundle only comes with 2 Nest Detect sensors. I have 3 doors that lead outside and 12 windows (15 total, 2 secured with included Detects) that need monitoring. Each Nest Detect costs $59. I understand that it is expensive because it packs motion sensing and a light into such a small device, but if I wanted to secure the other 13 entry points into my home, it would cost me around $767. If you want your home fully covered in Nest, then prepare to pay quite a bit of money on top of the base bundle.
-System Software: As of now, Nest Secure seems to be in a beta period. There seems to be no connection to any smart home system (Google Assistant, HomeKit, SmartThings). So if you'd like to set up something that turns on the light when you open the front door, it is not available here.
-Volume: Although it has a loud siren, when the Nest Guard speaks, the voice volume is pretty low. It would be nice to somehow connect the Nest Guard to a smart speaker (Google Home) that you can hear throughout the house.

Nest Secure is a good, basic system with a couple of cool features. Expanding your system gets very expensive. If Nest allowed 3rd party sensors to interact with the Nest Secure, it would make it remarkably better. For example, I do not need a motion sensor on my window that is covered with blinds. Nest should consider a separate door and window sensor for a cheaper price or allow for 3rd party device integration. The software in the app will improve over time and hopefully add new features to the system. If you already have Nest devices, then Nest Secure will fit wonderfully into your home as it uses the same app and you have control of all your devices on one screen.

Nest Connect extends your home network for the Nest Secure alarm system. It will make sure motion sensors and alarms are connected and operational, even for larger homes.

Great for expanding Nest System

If you have a large home, then the Nest Connect will take any fear out of your Nest Secure devices losing connection. It plugs straight into the wall and is simple to add in the Nest app. It is small and has great coverage to add Nest Detects to the far side of a home. If you have a big home or are experiencing issues with your Nest Detect connecting to the main Nest Guard, then this device will alleviate your problems.

What a surprise!

When I was in the market for a camera system for my home, the Arlo line of devices were never on my radar. I just didn't think that a battery operated camera that only recorded when it saw motion would be reliable. Well, after I saw the improvements Netgear has done with the Arlo cameras, I decided to go ahead and try the new Arlo Pro 2 cameras. I would like to start off by saying Wow. I did not know just how handy these cameras could be. I am currently using them inside my home to monitor while I am away. They offer Geofencing Mode, which when you are at home, it will not send any alerts to your phone, but as soon as you leave a certain distance from your home, the system gets armed and starts recording all motion. What is nice is that you can customize your own modes too. For example, when I am at home, I created a mode that would still record motion, just not send me a push alert. This is helpful for monitoring activity during the night and catching it on video, without getting the constant buzz from your phone. Speaking of video recording, I am surprised by the clarity I am getting of the Arlo cameras. It is sharp and has nice night vision. And the Base station is small enough to hide away in your home (and it includes an extremely loud siren, which is a great deterrent).
All recordings are saved in the cloud for 7 days for free, which is a rather nice change from other companies charging just for any access to old recordings (Note: they do offer subscriptions to extend recording storage time). You will be controlling these cameras mostly through the Arlo app, which is decent enough. It can be a bit finicky to navigate and find certain settings (took me a while to find how to turn off email alerts), and I hope that these cameras can be updated to support HomeKit. At the end of the day, I am very happy that I gave these cameras a chance and so far I'm really happy with what they provide.

Decent suction, but far from perfect

The convenience of cordless vacuums makes me want to clean my home more often. They're simple to take out and quick to set up. The Hoover React Stick Vacuum has unfortunately been one of my least favorite vacuums that I've used.
Out of the box, it comes with many accessories to clean every inch of your home, which is very nice. After that, things kind of fall apart. Let me begin with the Pros about this vacuum.
Like I previously said, there are many accessories included and it is a great assortment. The battery is compact and easy to charge in its base. Suction power and the FloorSense technology is great. I like that I am able to switch between carpet and hardwood without changing any settings. The design of the vacuum is also quite modern and will fit in any home.
Now the Cons. The build quality of the main brush roll unit seems cheap compared to the rest of the unit. Also, when rolling the vacuum around my home, it felt like I was using a toy. The wheels would squeak and are loud on wood floors. Something that I wish this vacuum had was a way to have it stand up while not using. I have to lay it on the floor when I need to move furniture or empty the dustbin. Speaking of the dustbin, you have to take apart a center piece in the bin where the filter is to empty all the dust and trash out of it. Not very simple.
I really thought I was getting a quality product from Hoover, but unfortunately this vacuum has been far from it. It really does not feel like it was designed completely through. If someone was in the market for a cordless vacuum, I would unfortunately tell them to not get this Hoover.

Will Moni Monitoring Plan include video storage from Nest Cams or include Nest Aware subscription? To me, including nest aware is the selling point, otherwise, the ADT Security Hub by Smartthings will become the go to for DYI home security systems.
It looks like the Moni Monitoring only adds 24/7 monitoring and Cellular Back-up service. It is not connected to your Nest cams or Nest Aware.

From what I've seen, the Roomba 890 cleans randomly. It will eventually get everything, so there is some method to its random movements. The Roomba 980 cleans in a more grid pattern because of the better camera system on that model.
