Connecting this device was a breeze. I literally plugged it in and it worked without any need for configuration. Android and iOS support is really good. I can access my data worldwide from my phone and tablet. Laptop access is great on your LAN, but for remote access you need to be on at least Windows 8 for PC (not sure about Mac). Windows 7 support is bad.
I feel like the sync tools could be a little more advanced. It gives you basic access to config sync, but if you are technical/advanced you may be frustrated by the lack of access to an advanced config.
Mostly you don't need it though since it really just works very well out of the box.

Works well overall. Pleased for the price I paid. HDMI connection between DTV box and TV worked with Anynet+ out of the box. Switches between PC, Xbox, and satellite automatically and seamlessly. One downside I see is that the bar doesn't power on automatically when other devices do. I have to turn it on separately.

Quiet fan that moves air

I bought a number of these fans for my gaming rig. I found them to be quiet and efficient. They are very blue and pretty bright. For me this is a plus but it may not be for everyone.
Be careful not to over-tighten or you will crack the plastic. It just needs to be snug not torqued down.
The only complaint I have is that it doesn't have a control lead for the system to manage fan speed. These babies are either on or off. No in between.

I'm still in the beginning of this game, but the story is great and the gameplay is compelling. It's been a while since a game has had me chomping at the bit to get through my workday so I can get back into it.
The limited Edition is nice in that it includes the Season Pass for cheaper than you can otherwise get it. If you know you are going to play every bit of this game and its DLC, then the LE is the way to go.

I don't have the specific procedure for you, but I had the same problem with a Seagate Personal Cloud product and support was very helpful. I emailed support and it took them about 5 days to get back, but they told me exactly what to do to get it back.

Can I back up 3 different computers one with vista, one with windows 7, and one with windows 8.1 on the same drive?
As long as there is sufficient room on the drive and the computers can reach it, you can use this device to back up any of these versions of Windows.
The caveat is that each computer must be able to reach the device. This can be as simple as plugging the drive into each computer, or you can get fancy and share the drive on a network these computers connect to.

does this product use a separate service such as Dropbox for storage (as does MyPassport)? I want storage to be local.
This product is compatible with such services, but does not use one without setting it up. This is just an external drive that runs locally via a USB 3.0 connection.
