Great for on the go work and gaming

As someone who primarily works and games on a laptop, I wanted a mouse with excellent battery life and that I could carry with me everywhere I go. This turtle beach pure air mouse meets my needs. It is so lightweight that it “feels cheap” but the mouse is actually quite tough. I toss it in my backpack along with my laptop and it is fine. Nothing has broken and it doesn’t add weight to my bag. The charging cord is long and flexible, it feels like a very soft shoelace. It hasn’t tangled up in my bag like traditional cables always do. It has the bare minimum (button wise) as far as gaming mice. It has the two top buttons, a scroll wheel that also clicks and can be customized and two side buttons near your thumb. The laser tracker on the mouse has worked smoothly and accurately for me on just about every surface I have used it on. I typically don’t carry a mousepad with me, so I appreciate how well it’s worked for me on tables and counters. I have fairly large hands and I find this mouse quite comfortable and ergonomic. No complaints from me as far as experiencing fatigue of any kind with this mouse. I believe you can download software to customize the buttons, but I’m a simple plug and play type of person and usually customize my buttons in whatever game I am playing on my PC. Battery life is excellent, I haven’t had to charge it in a week, and it’s still going strong. The cable is long enough to keep it plugged in at all times if you prefer. The included usb dongle for pairing is very small and inconspicuous. It’s low profile and I don’t have to worry about it breaking in my bag. I can leave it plugged into my laptop at all times. All in all, I am very happy with this mouse, and would recommend it if you want a reliable and lightweight mouse. I think it’s perfect for people who game on laptops, but will be just as great for people who game and work on desktops.

Excellent build quality with some compromises

The best thing about this headset is its build quality. They feel very solidly built and I think they’ll be able to take a beating from your little ones, or from those of you who might just toss them onto your desk or wherever after you are done gaming. The headband, earcups are very strong and the earcups are quite comfortable. But to my ears, the sound quality is just alright. I’m very picky about headphones though, and I own some high end headphones. So to most consumers, these will probably get the job done. But if you’re an audiophile or expecting amazing sound out of these, then I would say look elsewhere. I played rocket league, Fortnite, and call of duty with these headphones on and they sound bright. To my ears they lack bass and miss, so most games are going to sound trebly. They are loud though, and voices in chat come through loud and clear. The microphone is cool because it retracts fully into the earcup. You’ll have to mute it with the press of a button otherwise it stays active when retracted. My only other complaint is the usb c dongle it comes with. The Xbox series x only has the OG USB ports for it, so you’ll have to use the long adapter that they provide in the box to use these wirelessly. I can’t blame the headset for it, this is Microsoft’s fault, for not putting a usb c port on the Xbox series x. The adapter is just unnecessarily long. For Pc, or Nintendo switch though, this will not be an issue as the wireless dongle will connect and pair great. All in all, I love the brand. They make a very good headset for most casual gamers. I would recommend these for your kids, they are very tough and should take a beating. They will be content with these. For serious gamers and audiophiles? I would suggest you spend a little more and get something better.

I’m gonna say up front that the Ray Ban Meta sunglasses are by far the coolest piece of technology that I have used this year. The technology isn’t very new, it has been tried by others with little affair but I think it’s finally starting to come along. It’s also been my first pair of real Ray Ban’s!
First thing you’ll notice is that they have the classic Ray Ban style we all know and love. The sunglasses feel really premium, I almost don’t want to wear them to places I might scuff them up or dirty them. The lenses provide good sun protection and the frames are stylish and make for a very nice accessory. I love that they look look typical Rayban sunglasses. Hardly anyone realizes that I am wearing “smart glasses”.
There is a little ring light that glows when taking photos and videos, and I believe there is only 1 camera on the frames. The right side has a touch pad that allows you to control volume and medía with pressure and slides. There is a button on the right side that captures photos and videos. You can also use the “hey meta” command to control your camera and media. The Ai tech is in its infancy but it sounds promising. I am intrigued and interested in what else Meta will be implementing with these smart glasses. For now it is a pretty basic assistant. It can control my music, make phone calls, snap photos and videos and can sometimes describe what I am looking at and provide information. Like I said, it’s in its infancy so don’t expect a google assistant type tech on it. While on the subject, I’m not the biggest fan of Facebook / having to log in with Facebook. So I appreciate that they have allowed people to create an account and log in without forcing people to make or use their personal Facebook account.

The camera on these sunglasses is quite good! Definitely better than I was expecting it to be. It makes for some very interesting photos and videos. If you like to vlog or post photos and videos of your day I think you will really like these. I’ve always enjoyed watching “pov” style vlogs, so it’s cool to be able to make my own now. My only complaint about the camera is that it only seems to record in portrait (vertical) mode. I mean it’s perfect for mobile viewing. But if you watch the videos on a tablet or computer screen, there will be giant black bars on either side of the video. I don’t use what’s app, but meta says that they will be allowing videos calls with these glasses very soon. You should be able to share your view with the person you are talking to. I’ll have to download the app and use it when the function goes live. As a photographer, I love to “document” life. I’m always taking photos and videos. So I love these glasses because “I always have a camera on me now”.
Audio quality is also quite good for what it is. The speakers sound full (for their size) and listening to music while out on a walk is a pleasure. It allows me to remain aware of my environment while listening to my favorite music.
Phone calls sound loud and clear and everyone I’ve talked to on a phone call with these say my voice sounded loud and clear.

Familiar Sound in a New Shell

I've been gaming on my xbox series x with this pair of headphones for the past week and I'd like to share my thoughts.
I'll start by talking about its build quality. They are mostly made of plastic, the headband is adjustable and the foam on the ear cups is soft memory foam. They bounce back to their shape rather quickly. They are quite comfortable for long gaming sessions and they are probably the best thing about this headset. They are lightweight and comfortable. They have 40mm drivers in the speakers and the microphone adjusts 4 ways. Up / down (mute / unmute ) and it swivels left and right a little. Surprise! I like that about it. They charge via the included usb C cable and battery life is excellent! Ive yet to charge them since the initial out of the box charge. Turtle beach claims 40 hours of battery life and I think it's safe to say that it holds true.
The headphones will pair to just about any device via bluetooth, but turtle beach includes a 2.4 ghz dongle to pair them with the xbox series X. This is the preferred way to connect to your Xbox, as it will provide the lowest latency and strongest connection. The headphones pair very quickly with the dongle and provide a strong stable connection. I can roam around my place without it dropping connection.
Sound Quality: This is where I was a little let down. Are they bad? No. They're decent..
but if you've owned any pair of "low end" turtle beach headphones in the last 5 years or so.. you'll know what to expect. They sound about the same to my ears. Ive owned several pairs of turtle beach headphones and they've all pretty much sound the same to me. I'll go ahead and call it the turtle beach signature sound. They have a trebly and "digital" / processed sound. There isn't much bass on these, so explosions sound low res and trebly. Reminiscent of the 16/32 bit games I'd play as a child haha. Microphone quality is great, and if you plan on using them to chat with your friends or live stream with these I think you will be happy with these. They have two volume rockers on the left ear cup.. one is for master volume and the other is for mixing game audio and chat audio. So convenient!

Would I recommend these? Sure.. especially if you just want something reliable, with great battery life and easy to pair with your console. It's hard to match the features that these wireless headphones bring to the table (at this price point) and I think the vast majority of gamers will be perfectly happy with these headphones. If you are an audiophile and command the best sound quality.. I would look elsewhere.

I am genuinely mind blown by this speaker

Bose has come out swinging powerfully with the release of the Soundlink Max wireless speaker. As an owner and fan of the SoundLink Flex speaker, I was surprised and excited to hear that Bose would be releasing a bigger and louder version of it. If you already own a prior version of this line of speakers, you'll kind of know what to expect, but I promise you that you will be impressed!
Sound Quality:
I am blown away by how good this Bose speaker sounds. It definitely sounds a lot bigger than it physically is. I like to sit it on my window sill when I am listening to music and it fills our living room with music easily. It has such a nice full and immersive sound. I feel like I am standing in a concert hall when I use this speaker in my living room to listen to music. It is loud, even at a low 30-40% volume setting. The bass is very punchy, without drowning out the mids and highs. Mids have a nice subtle tone that carry the treble and voices very nicely to your ears. This speaker sounds so good, that I cannot wait to hear what the next song on my playlist is going to sound like through it. If you're an audiophile, You'll understand what I am saying. I honestly love this speaker, and I plan on using it every chance I get. Bose has proven their sound engineering knowledge and If there is an award for "Portable speaker of the year" I think this one deserves it.

This speaker is very very rugged. I think it will definitely survive a drop from shoulder height. I'm not going to test my theory, but it is tough. It is heavy, and it's built like a tank.
The carry strap is a very nice touch, you can remove it easily if you don't want it. But I think it is classy and since the speaker is chunky ( I can barely wrap my hand around the whole thing), it makes carrying it around a lot easier.

my one and only complaint about this speaker, is that the silicone "skin" that covers the speaker is a huge lint and dust magnet. If you have OCD about keeping things dust free as I do. You will find yourself wiping this thing clean very often. lol. I understand the need for it though. It gives the speaker a nice rugged protective skin. I do love that Bose included a 3.5mm aux port on here. I plan on using it to connect it to my home projector when watching movies. The USB C port is for input/output.
So it will charge the speaker with a fast charging cable, and it will output power to charge your phone or tablet! I don't know how I feel about draining the battery from this amazing speaker to charge my phone, but it is definitely a very nice feature to have if I need to charge my phone in an emergency.

the Blackshark is a standout in a sea of headsets

So I've been gaming with the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro headset for the past week or so, and I've been pretty impressed. Are they perfect? No, but they are an excellent value.
Build Quality : Is excellent and although I thought about giving these a 4 star rating, the build quality of this headset made me raise it to a 5 star rating and recommendation. The earfuls are made of a very strong plastic. They do not creak or feel cheap. They feel tough while remaining lightweight.
The padding is soft but I wish it was a little more comfortable. They behave like memory foam but the pads aren't very thick and after a while my ears become a little fatigued. But I use it as a reminder to take a break, take the headset off and stretch and walk around a bit. The headband feels and smells like leather. It's probably faux leather, but it sure feels nice.

There is a volume know on the left ear cup which makes volume adjustment quick and easy. There is also a microphone mute button next to the power button.
On the right side there is a button that allows you to goggle between 4 audio presets.
"Custom" , "Music " , "Games" , and "Movies". The presets sound great and I haven't felt the need to tweak the custom sound too much. I've enjoyed watching movies with these just as much as I've enjoyed gaming with them.

The microphone is very impressive, it is a high quality microphone. My friends all said my voice came through loud and clear in our game chats. I don't know if I would use it exclusively to stream with, but in a pinch.. I think it is perfectly fine for live streaming and game commenting / recording.
As far as gaming headsets go, these are amongst the best I've tested and gamed with recently.
Explosions are booming, guns thud loudly. Voices sound crisp and music also sounds impressive.
They do have that digital sounding "explosive crunch" when playing games with lots of explosions and gunfire in your surroundings. It is probably a software thing though, caused by the video games I play or the consoles I game on.

The dongle is an odd shape but it plugs into the front of the PS5 and pairs automatically and seamlessly. The dongle will also work with a PC and the Nintendo switch.
My only real complaint with these headphones are that my ears get tired when using these for long sessions. Your mileage may vary though! The cups could use a thicker memory foam pad.
Would I recommend this headset? For sure! I know competition is very fierce in the gaming headset space, but I think this headset is an excellent value. They are compatible with PC, PS5 and Nintendo switch. They have 50mm drivers and a Wideband microphone. They sound great and battery life is awesome. If these are on your shortlist, check them out!

Soft, comfortable and colorful

I love that these Apple Watch bands come in a three pack in different colors. I like to switch off the bands to match the outfit I’m wearing for the day. I typically just go with the black band for most day to day use, but having the option to switch to a lighter color is nice. Also, just having the extra bands is good in case something happens to one. The build quality of these bands is top notch. They feel tough yet soft and comfortable. They don’t really bother me throughout the day. They are easy to swap out and easy to put on my wrist. If I had to complain about anything it would be that my wrist tends to get a little sweaty with these on, but that could be mostly because I’m in Texas, and it’s already getting really warm here. The sweat kinda beads up against my wrist. Which is good because it won’t stink up the silicone material over time. They wash easy with soapy water at the end of the day, which is another benefit of having this material for your watch bands. All in all, I would recommend these if you are looking to switch up the style and color of your Apple Watch. Just make sure you get the right size because these are only compatible with the smaller 38mm Apple Watch.

The Ultimate Listening experience!

I've been using these Sony ULT WEAR headphones for the past week and although I was initially put off by the feel and sound of these headphones, they've since grown on me after figuring out all the little details / things you can do when paired with the Sony Headphones app. I am going to say that it is an absolute must download so that you can fully experience and enjoy these headphones. Sony provides a QR code on the manual to find the app, but you can also search for it in the iOS and Android stores.
Build Quality - These headphones are really lightweight for their size. The plastics used have this non textured / smooth feel that I'm not really used to headphones having. So they kind of tricked my brain into thinking they feel cheap. But after a week of use, I can honestly say that these headphones are quite touch and the build material is excellent. The headband and earcups are strong and do not creak when you flex them to put them on your head or when moving a cup out of the way to hear something or someone. Which while Im on that subject, these headphones have a cool feature where all you have to do is place your hand over the right ear cup and it will automatically lower the volume of your music or media very low so that you can hear your surroundings.
The headphones have three buttons. Power on /off , ANC/Ambient which toggles noise canceling on and off. and ULT. The ULT button toggles through 3 different presets which to my ears boost bass from almost flat to thump thump on your ears. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting the included wire to your devices. I am happy to report that with the included aux cable, you do not have to turn on the headphones for them to work with the cable. So they work passively! but you will not get any of the software features while using them with this method.

They sounded quite muddy and the bass / mids drowned out everything else. But like I said earlier.. downloading the Sony headphones app is an absolute must to use these headphones. It will allow you to customize the EQ to your liking, and it does it quite easily. It will let you tap through various settings and tune it to what you like. It was honestly the coolest and most intuitive equalizer tuning I've experience so far. After setting up the EQ and presets to my preferences , these headphones sound soooo much better and they've grown on me for the past week. Are they the best headphones I've ever heard? No. but the ability to easily and quickly tweak the EQ makes them fun and a joy to use. It's very hard to find 1 pair of headphones that will be perfect for every music genre, movie, podcast listening experience. So being able to tune my listening experience on the fly makes these quite enjoyable. They are very comfortable for extended use, lightweight, and battery life is amazing! Even after a week of casual use, the headphones still show 85% battery remaining.
So would I recommend these headphones? I'm going to say Yes. But only if you're willing to download that app and set them up properly. If you don't want to bother with all of that, then perhaps look at something else.

Great for calls and chats, not so much for music.

So I’ve been using this headset specifically for voice communication during my online gaming sessions with friends on my PC and PlayStation. They’re not really marketed for that, but I figured it would be great for voice chat and I was right. My friends all said my voice sounded loud and crisp through the microphone and their voices all sound nice and clear with these ear cups. I had no trouble listening to my buddies talk while we gamed. I played for about 3 hours straight with my buddy the other night and my ears never got fatigued because of the earcups. I thought they were going to be too small / snug but they’re not. They don’t have any sort of noise canceling so I can still hear my tv and myself while talking, something I appreciate because I don’t end up yelling into the microphone. Build quality of this headset isn’t all that great. I mean.. they feel a little cheap. They feel like they might break after using them for some time. But that being said, the material is very lightweight, so they aren’t heavy on your head. The pads on the earcups are small but comfortable. The buttons are in a weird spot but you don’t really have to use them since your phone or device can control the volume. The power button sits in an awkward position, right below the mic boom, my thumbs are large so pressing it to turn them on and off can be a little cumbersome. I have to swivel the mic to the on position to turn them on and off. The microphone will mute when you swivel the boom to the up position. A simple function that I highly appreciate. Now, I am rating these 4 stars because they work and sound great for voice chats and phone calls. But that’s it. They are quite bad for music and movies, so don’t even bother. I mean you could use them if you want, but they sound flat, and tinny. Would I recommend these? Ummm.. depends on what you want to use them for. If all you want is a headset for phone calls and voice chatting then sure. Voices sound great with this headset. If you want them for media consumption or music listening, I would not recommend these. They aren’t the greatest but they are perfectly usable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing laptop! My new everyday companion

I feel like every time I get a brand new gaming laptop I say.. this is the best laptop ever! And this new Asus G16 definitely deserves that title. I’ve been using it everyday for a week as my main gaming setup, and I love it so much that I think it might become my main rig for work and play. The OLED screen is beautiful. Videos, Photos, Games all look amazing on this screen. If you’re looking for the best screen on a laptop, I have to say that this machine should be on your shortlist but The screen brightness is only 450 nits, its been plenty bright for me for most situations. I’m not the type to sit outside with a laptop, but if you plan on getting work or gaming done outside at a cafe or something, you might be disappointed with this screen. But 450nits is typical for an OLED screen, it’s just a trade off you have to compromise on. I think it’s to prevent burn in / damage. Speakers on this laptop are also very good! I’ll say that these are the second best speakers I’ve heard on a laptop. They get loud but have a full sound. Bass, and mids are rich and trebles are clean and crisp. I will happily use the built in speakers for music listening and movie watching and gaming. The fans do kick on quite loud while gaming so it’s nice to have a loud set of speakers in the machine to drown out the fans. I haven’t had any issues with overheating yet, the fans and cooling system on this machine keep the laptop running great and I’m pushing graphics to the highest in most of the games I’ve tested. Alan Wake 2 pretty much runs at full max settings. Ray tracing for some reason causes bad frame drops on that game but to my eyes it looks amazing without the setting on. Every game I own looks and plays amazing on this laptop. My short list of current games are Alan Wake 2, Fortnite, Rocket League, Helldivers 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. (An oldy, but I wanted to relive it on this beautiful OLED screen.) I can’t wait to try other games now and in the future. I am confident that this machine will run anything coming in the next 5 years. The RTX 4080, paired with the intel i9 and 32GB of ram is a powerful combination that will serve you well for years. This machine has an additional m.2 slot for expanding your storage which I immediately did. I installed a 2TB ssd and now I have 3 TB total for game storage. So cool! Hardware wise, this laptop is very premium. It’s mostly aluminum, the only thing that feels plastic is the bottom cover. You’ll need a T6 security driver to open it but those are easy to find. I could go on all day about this laptop, but if your here and your on the fence. I’m gonna say go ahead and buy it, I highly recommend it. This laptop is powerful enough to play just about every game available, and is also great for work if you’re a photo and video editor / content creator. And when you’re not working or gaming on this machine, you’ll love it for just kicking back on the couch or bed and watching a movie or video.

If you want to keep things "portable" I would recommend using any portable speaker with an AUX input. most bluetooth speakers come with an AUX input. Get a 3.5mm aux cable and plug it into your speaker of choice!

yes, But i believe it records with the built in microphone. So don't expect the best sound quality and it might pick up ambient sounds in the room during the recording.

I have this soundbar connected to the Sony 75 X850E TV using the HDMI ARC connection. There is a slight audio lag using the soundbar (occurs with HDMI or optical). The delay is small but definitely there, so this causes lip sync issues. Any suggestions?
you can try to adjust it by pressing the option button, then TV or HDMI (according to whichever you are experiencing lag) then press the up or down button press the center button to adjust. It can be difficult to get it perfect. I've tried myself and I just got it as close as I could

I recently purchased the HT-X9000F along with a 2018 TCL Series 6 TV. While it sounds great, is there any way to have its menu appear on my TCL 6 series? It's hard to know which mode I'm in or cycle through the settings without having them show up.
You have to connect the soundbar with an HDMI cable for the menu to appear on screen on your input of choice. If you have it connected with an optical cable it won't work. Also, you need to have it connected with HDMI as it is the only way to enable dolby atoms on supported titles.

I've got my Soundbar hooked up to my TCL 6 Series via HDMI to HDMI ARC, however, when I press the "Home" button on my Sony remote. It just mutes the sound and no menu comes up. Please help! Thanks.
maybe try resetting the sound bar? the manual shows you how to reset the system.
