Overall I'm really liking the iPad Pro. Larger screen size makes it perfect for watching movies, streaming, games and more. Other than the internals, this is nothing more than a larger iPad Air 2 honestly. For me, I use it for entertainment purposes mostly. I'll do a bit of work on it however this is not a laptop replacement or everyday sort of tablet like others may use it. As such, it's perfect for me in that I can view movies and shows on a larger screen with a without issue.
For those that are casual users or looking for something more functional in their daily lives, this might not be it for you. With it considerably larger size, carrying this thing daily might be a bit cumbersome for some people. Personally, I think the iPad Air 2 has the best form factor so far in terms of everyday carry and portability.
While the pen and keyboard might be attractive to some, I don't really have a need for them but might prove very useful to other folks in the graphic design or arts area.
So, I love it however this increase in size definitely isn't going to be for everyone that's for sure.

This thing is a piece of garbage. After about 2 weeks of use, the fans started going out and, eventually, stopped working. Had previous bad experiences with PS3/XBOX 360 fans from Nyko but figured they would've upped the quality on their products. Clearly I was wrong in this respect. Never going to buy another product from Nyko.

As far as point and shoots go, this is pretty much the most feature packed one out there. It runs Android OS on a camera, has data connectivity for directly uploading to FB/Twitter, huge touch screen display and lots of other features all in one unit. While, technically, a point and shoot, I'd probably classify this probably as a bridge camera; bit more robust than a point and shoot but not quite a DSLR.
The features can be quite cumbersome to learn since there are so many. If you use an Android phone then you should be pretty familiar with the layout of the home screens and such. In addition to its connectivity, there are lots of photo editing options you can perform on the camera prior to upload or after. Since it's connected, you can upload your pics directly to your FB account or whatever which some people would find very beneficial. For the social media hound, this would be a great little companion for trips/outings/get togethers.
For someone who's more advanced in photography, this camera would merely be a toy or tertiary camera. It's great for a night out with friends or a party, but not for taking great pictures. The image quality is so-so and performance in low light is comparable to that of a cell phone. For something that costs as much as an entry level DSLR, you'd expect some very good picture quality at the very least. To put this on par with other bridge cameras or point and shoots, it's probably somewhere in the middle. Not bad, not great.
What you're really paying for is, essentially, a glorified camera phone. It'll take decent enough pics for uploading to social media accounts but nowhere near the quality of even entry level DSLR's. Even my 5 year Canon point and shoot can take better quality photos than this. If you're a casual shooter that wants an all-in-one camera, this would probably fit the bill. For someone looking for a more advanced P&S, something like a Canon S100 would be way better and is cheaper than this thing.
Overall, it's a nice concept and since it's the first gen model, I;m sure future generations will correct issues with this one.

If you're a fan of Grand Theft Auto, this game should be a part of your game collection. As it's made by the same studio that makes GTA, no surprise, it's very similar to GTA in its gameplay. As with you GTA, in Red Dead, you can choose to follow the storyline or simply wander off and kill people at will. Instead of car jacking, you have jack stage coaches or horses so it's a tad different. Good selection of guns and overall very fun to play.
What's great about it: Good story and long gameplay
What's not so great: Somewhat repetitive at times.

I purchased this to round out the holy trinity of n00b lenses (18-55, 55-250 and the 50 1.8) I've heard that this lens is one of those must have lenses for n00bs and I can see why.
While this lens does have its limitations (it's inexpensive for a reason) it does a very good job at getting clear images and works great as a secondary lens for the newbies.
As far as build quality, yes it does feel cheap and poorly made but it's a great lens to have nonetheless. If you're the type that's abusive to your equipment then this will most likely break on your eventually. Fortunately, it's cheap so you can always get a replacement pretty easily. For the price, it's one of the best lenses to have if you're a newbie to DSLR's and I'm pretty happy with this purchase.

I'm completely new to the world of DLSR's and shopped around for a good unit that would last me for awhile. I had originally been looking at the T3i and the T2i. Other than some photo shooting features and the swing out LCD, there isn't much difference between the two however I ended up getting the T3i and don't regret it one bit.
For the uninitiated, this might take some time getting used to since even the settings have settings on this camera. Previously, I had been just fine with my SD780 IS P&S but wanted something a little more to play around with. I'm still learning all the features about the T3i but it's been great so far even though I've only had it for a couple days now.
The pictures on this thing are super crisp and the HD video (while grainy at max zoom) is great as well. For me, i think the unit is a bit on the small side but for more normal people, I think this will be fine if not a little bit on the larger side.
My only "gripe" about this thing is that the auto-focus is a little slow at times and doesn't pick up images but that could be simply my lack of understanding with the settings. Overall, I'm super thrilled about this camera and looking forward to testing it out and taking great pictures form now on.
What's great about it: Features, Seems Durable, HQ pics and HD video, Great Bargain
What's not so great: Menu navigation, Learning curve, Sometimes slow to auto-focus

Excellent laptop for everyday use
ByLouRevuefromWashington, DC
Having had the chance to use this laptop, I must say it’s quite an impressive model for almostn any use. With an abundance of features housed in a sleek, stylish body, it’s a solid laptop for anyone in the market for a new/replacement laptop.
Using a 7th gen i5 dual core processor, the laptop functions on par with just about any laptop in its price range. With 8GB of RAM (12GB max) and a 1TB hard drive, it offers plenty of speed and room for all your files and enough power/speed to perform almost any task.
As far as the aesthetics go, this is an impressive looking laptop with clean lines, brushed aluminum cover and beveled edges. It’s a very nice looking laptop no doubt and the design, overall, is quite appealing. It comes with a full size keyboard as well as backlit keys which is a nice touch. Only gripe with the keyboard are the arrow buttons as the Up/Down buttons are smaller due to keyboard layout. The power button is on the right side of the laptop which is a bit unique as well as a dedicated volume button. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports as well as 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI, SD Card and USB-C port. There is no CD drive for anyone wondering. The laptop (closed) is only about ¾ inch tall however it’s a bit wider than most due to the full size keyboard.
Power/performance. Using a dual-core processor I was under the impression this would be relatively slow and have choppy performance when opening multiple programs. Being this is the latest gen processor from Intel, this is not the case. Opening 2-3 programs at once was done with relative ease and switching between them was pretty flawless. The 8GB RAM comes in quite handy here and even with a 5400 RPM HDD, this laptop was able to perform tasks with very good speed. Battery life is pretty good. Using it “normally” and leaving it on for about 5-6 hours, there was about 50% battery left. Also, one very noteworthy benefit to this laptop, it doesn’t get that hot when left on for long periods of time which is VERY nice.
The display is probably the most impressive feature on here. A full 1080p display is quite vibrant and displays bright and dark colors extremely well. Those wanting to watch Netflix/Hulu will have no issues with the display. In addition to visuals, the sound from this laptop is equally impressive. For watching movies or just playing music, the speakers on this laptop deliver quite nicely without too much reverberation or distorted sound.
One of my initial thoughts of this being a 2-in-1 was that the tablet was an afterthought/gimmick. Having used previous 2-in-1 laptops, I was expecting the tablet functionality to be quite lackluster. Again, this was not the case. In this unit, you have, both, a well built laptop as well as tablet on-the-go device. Once in tablet mode, the screen orients itself to that of a normal tablet using Windows Tiles. Touch sensitivity is surprisingly smooth and using paint programs worked well without any lag or drops in sensitivity. Using the tablet form works really well when you want to sit back and watch videos or movies. Very nice.
A couple concerns with this laptop were;
The hard drive. While it’s a large 1TB drive, I would’ve expected something, at least, in the 7200 RPM range. Being fast enough for normal business related tasks, anyone wanting to use this laptop for video editing or other processor intensive jobs might find it to be a bit slow. This can easily be remedied by replacing the HD for a faster spindle drive or a SSD. However it would’ve been nice to have a tad faster hard drive here. The keyboard, for me, took a bit getting used to since I have previously used standard laptop keyboards without the number pad. This is a personal preference so nothing against the design. Just noting that those of you used to that type of laptop keyboard, there will be a bit of learning curve involved however I think the addition of the number pad is great thing and should be standard on all laptops. While the brushed aluminum case is aesthetically appealing, I’m a little concerned about it getting scratched/dinged from normal use or if when you’re changing it to be used as a tablet. This is the case with some laptops that use this metal casing so just something to be aware of.
Overall, this is an impressive laptop, reasonably priced with enough up-to-date technology that will last you for several years to come. Being that it’s a 2-in-1, it’s an added bonus which allows you to use this device in ways you should be able to do and with relative ease. There is some bloatware included (this should be no surprise) so make sure to uninstall/delete the stuff you don’t need. Aside from a somewhat slow hard drive, the other features on this laptop more than make up for it. Very nice buy for a new work laptop or student.
It took a bit of time to setup my laptop as well. Have you tried uninstalling the bloatware on this laptop? I did and I don't have any issues with boot speed or anything else on my laptop.

Can an owner of the original non active 65t comment on the fit and stability difference with the active version? Curious if that and the extra IP rating is worth a look, or negligible.
I own both the active and regular 65T's and I don't see any noticeable difference between them. Aside from the IP rating, there's really not much difference. Both fit exactly the same and fit pretty snugly in the ear.
Brighten your day and night with this Philips Being Hue ceiling light. The dimming function lets you set an ambience for different moods, and it works with the Philips Hue dimmer switch and mobile app for versatile control. The ZigBee technology of this 32W Philips Being Hue ceiling lamp provides smooth, efficient interoperability with multiple Hue lighting units.
Can this light be controlled by a existing wired wall switch? I plan to replace the light that is already there with this one, but I would prefer to use the wired switch.
Yes you can...that's what I did. One thing to note is that the light won't come on immediately like your current light fixture does. There's a second or two delay after you flip the switch. I'm planning on replacing the switch with a dimmer switch so maybe that will correct the delay.
