One of my favorite 007 films of all time. It has all the right feels. The first and probably best Pierce Brosnan as 007 films there is compared to the later ones, which became far goofier.
A dark tale filled with a twist betrayal. Plenty of great action throughout with an excellent cast of actors.
An excellent transfer to bluray compared to the original. A definite must buy for those that haven't seen it or are a collector of 007 films. However if you're looking for every film and not as 'selective' on your favorite ones from each era, go with the ultimate collection.
Follow wealthy software designer Harold Finch (Michael Emerson) and former CIA agent John Reese (Jim Caviezel) as they use a revolutionary supercomputer known as "The Machine" to solve crimes before they're committed in this release featuring all 23 thrilling episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated TV series from Jonathan Nolan (writer of The Dark Knight) and Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams.

So here you are at Season 1 - here's what started it all for Person of Interest.
A great package overall on Bluray. Comes with a small booklet for a short description of each episode, which is nice if you forget where you were. Who does that though? Binge watch it!
Great acting and an excellent start to what would go on to be a very good series mixing in many elements of sort of high-tech sci-fi, crime drama, and blended well with good comedy and chemistry between the characters. As far as realism goes? Yeah, not really - you'll need to suspend reality for much of it.

The classic 1995 bank robber film and frankly one of the best ever from that era.
What's not to love? It has a roundhouse, excellent cast with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer in his early career, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, Wes Studi, Amy Brenneman (remember her from Private Practice?) and too many others to list.
The story is beautifully shot with a definite pulse-pounding thrill ride as the film picks up mid-way and all the way to the end.
I am knocking a star off for the blu-ray release itself, which is more the fault of Warner. They took out dialogue from the original film for some odd reason. So if you are looking for a "complete" version of Heat on Bluray, sadly this is not it (yet). You'll be better off searching for the Special Edition DVD.
Adapted from author R.R. Martin's best-selling fantasy series, the HBO series Game of Thrones details the political struggles and epic battles between various warring factions in a world where royalty, family, and dinosaur eggs all feature prominently. This set contains every episode from the show's debut season.

A great package overall if you're looking to save over the Blu-ray edition with this DVD version. It comes in a nice chipboard design with the discs neatly organized.
As for the season itself. The jump from Season 4 to Season 5 is quite a doozy if you've arrived at this point. Apparently considered as not well received compared to the previous season, but there plenty more twists, turns, and shocking moments any GoT viewer has come to expect. Overall, a must buy for either DVD or Bluray if you're a fan of the show so far.

Not many special features packed on the individual release, but if you're just looking for the straight film with no extras - this is your best bet.
I would recommend at this point simply purchasing the collected edition if you haven't seen or simply don't own any of these.
As for the film itself - its the same great quality production as the previous two. The tale is coming to a close and the stakes are become much greater as the Heroine's world really starts to unravel. Good acting and a decent adaption of the novel, which I recommend reading as well for those that haven't. I am Mark Twain, after all, surely.

I picked this film up on a whim and frankly it wasn't that bad. If you are here reading this review and have also found the Rotten Tomatoes score, you're possibly teetering on that decision to 'buy.'
Apparently this film was shot with a low budget, but despite that - well the acting isn't actually that bad. The effects (SFX), props, costume - etc. like-wise again - not that bad.
Is this movie a thought-provoking film about the consequences of exploring Mars? Well, not really. If you do like your films with an occasional adrenaline rush from tension and mental anxiety thrills - it will definitely provide that.
