Lost Planet 2 (LP2), is a decent shooter that immerses you in intense battles situations against both human and biological threats. These battles are best handled with at least 1 live partner because the game when played alone is harder than a turtle's shell. The A.I. is absolutely useless in important situations. Another downside is that the controls are a little stiff especially in the mechs. The campaign mode is lenghty...and that's a good thing. Just make sure. like i said, you have some live players.
Multiplayer is fun as well. It's no Modern Warfare, but it is still fun. I like it because of the third person view instead of first person, ala Metal Gear's, and Drakes multiplayer. They have the usual deathmatch, team deatmatch, capture the flag-ish types, etc. Bottom line the game is centered around co-op play, so if u dont mind playing with others online then pick this up. Tell ur best bud 2 get it so at least you have that very important live player. If you choose to go it alone you will be in for a long, long night.
What's great about it: Great graphics, Great co-op experience, Ok character progression
What's not so great: Controls feels a little stiff at times

So Square-Enix does have a "Dark" side...lol.

Nier...i didn't know what to expect when in opened the game 3 days ago. Right from the opening movie, i was "shocked." All i heard was this potty mouthed lady talkin 2 something or someone. I never heard words like this come out of a Square-Enix title. Needless 2 say i was intrigued. Nier to me remindes me of an old Square title...Vagrant Story..(hope you guys have played that 1.) The combat, magic..(done by a talking book)...etc., are all done in real time. 1 issue i have with this is the camera can get you in trouble during combat...due to the lack of a lock on feature..(in my opinion.) You might end up gettin hit from your blindside a time or 2. The game also switches from the 3D open style to a traditional 2D side scrolling platformer, i think that's kinda cool. Another thing which adds 2 the "Dark"ness of the game is all the blood that spews from all the enemies. It's just something i never witnessed from a Square title...(i know, broken record right...lol.) The potty mouth girl i mentioned b4...is actually your partner. She travels the world with you helping you out in ballte...and she can hold her own. You dont have to worry about keeping her alive, because if she dies she revives herself after a while. I know i've said alot but bottom line...it's a great game. Fans of Vagrant Story will appreciate this 1...and so will the people that just love [Square-Enix] games like this.
What's great about it: Great voice acting, Cool magic attacks, Overall good experience
What's not so great: No lock on for combat, Camera can be a pain in the @$$...

It's time 2 get your hadoken on once again, but this time it's with a little added flair. I picked up SSF4 on Fri..yeah i got another one early...lol, and it is absolutely bananas. SSF4 is packed with new content. 8 new characters (all available from jump street), new online modes, and the classic wreck the car and break the barrels bonus stages...THROWBACK...lol. The balance between the fighters has seemed to be fixed as well so some of the stronger players have been toned down a bit and vice versa. The addition of another 1 new ultra combo for every character is nice 2, so you can pick 1 that fits your fighting style. Bottom line...if you own the old version of this game, dump it and pick up a copy of SSF4...ASAP. HADOKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's great about it: Ibuki, Dudley, Cody, And Dee Jay...Better online 2...
What's not so great: That this wasn't the first version released...lol.!!

Strikeforce is a decent title. It has it's ups and downs. For starters the game is still fun to play. Typical Dynasty Warriors action...hack-n-slash through waves of enemies. It's no GTA or G.O.W but it a nice way 2 release the anger after a long day at work. New twist in gameplay is the addition of air combat...it add a sense of "depth" to the combat. The new transformations are cool 2...makes me feel like a super sayian...lol. Although the combat has a few new additions, the controls don't seem as fluid as past title. Also the camera is a pain sometimes. The graphics aren't gonna knock your socks off either but they are ok...(The opening movie is nice 2) All in all if you are a fan of the series or just looking 4 a fun hack-n-slash to kill time with, pick it up...if not you won't miss much...
What's great about it: Loads of characters...Good Character progression..!!
What's not so great: Camera is a pain in the @$$ sometimes...controls dont seem as fluid as Dynasty Warriors of old

GTA: Episodes is a nice addition to the GTA4 story. I just bought it and started with The Ballad of Gay Tony...(its the 1 i really wanted 2 play 1st.) I love the way it starts w/Luis, your character, walking through liberty city and Niko passes in a car and u see the Lost and Damned guys ride pass on their bikes. I just thought it was a nice touch. Anyway, the game so far is typical GTA. The character are memorable...so far at least, and the voice acting is top notch. Idk what else 2 say right now...its still early, but, for this price who wouldn't want a GTA 2 for 1...pick it up.
What's great about it: 2 games 4 a great price
What's not so great: IDK yet...only purchased it yesterday...

Kazuma's at it again...

Yakuza 3 is a solid title. You play super gangsta Kazuma Kiryu who again sets out 2 right the wrongs of Tokyo's underworld crime oganization...(funny, a gangsta rightin wrongs.) Anyway Kazuma's been out of the game for a while and a series of unfortunate events pulls him back in once again. The game stix 2 its guns..it's just a bit more polished. The combat is still great with a few great tweaks. The side missions are good for the most part...although a few of them are a bit tedious. The city looks more alive than it ever did...probably b/c of the PS3 power but still, it looks great. Either way if you pick up Yakuza 3 you wont be disappointed...who knows you may even unleash un inner gangster...lol.
What's great about it: Continues the same great level of gaming as its 2 predecessors...
What's not so great: Can't see anything wrong with it as of yet

Finally the long awaited FF game is out. For a long time players of the FF series this game may throw u for a loop..(but only if u are not open 2 new things...in my opinion.) The battle system has been completely re-done. I, who have been a long time FF series player, (since super nintendo,) like the new battle system. It's different and i think a nice added twist. There are no towns, which i miss, and leveling up is a cross of FFX and FFXII...(Sphere grid from X, and the checker board, from XII.) They did bring back the job classes though, in a way but when u get the game you'll see. The graphics are sick like the swine flu, and the dialogue, and character voices are on point. Bottom line be open minded when u play this game and u wont be disappointed...FF Lives on...
What's great about it: Everything so far...
What's not so great: The fact that some write it off b/c it's not what they're used 2...smh

Heavy Rain is like a breathe of fresh air. Safe 2 say there is nothing like it on the market. It takes a cinematic approach, (a real cinematic approach) 2 gaming. It presents characters that you really "fall in love" with. They have pesonality, charisma, etc. I bought the game yesterday, early and i must say I am very pleased, and can't wait 2 see what kind of ride this epic story(and believe me it's epic) takes me.
What's great about it: Presentation, Graphics, and its something new!
What's not so great: 2 early 2 tell

Zelda...with a "Dark" twist...

Here's the thing, I like this game, but sometimes i just dont have the patience to deal with certain boards. I don't know if it's because i'm used to faster gameplay when it comes to action/hack-and-slash/beat-em up type games or what. Aside from my own personal reasons, the game is still a good game. The story will definitely grab you and make u want 2 keep playing to find out what happens next. Not to mention, War has some pretty unique weapons to play with.
What's great about it: Great lengthy story, great gameplay, great main character!
What's not so great: Some of the puzzles are a pain in the @$$, and some levels are toooo long.
