Wackiness ensues in the kid's comedy Big Fat Liar. The film is presented in a cropped 1.33:1 full-frame ratio that looks excellent. Aside of the picture being a pan-and-scan version, the image displays vibrant colors and dark black levels. Without any defects or imperfections marring the image, this transfer should please fans (read: kids) of the film. The soundtrack is presented in both Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and DTS Surround, both in English. Each of these tracks are very full and bombastic with the music score (mostly pop songs) coming in loud and clear. All aspects of the mix are free and clear of any excessive hiss or distortion. Also included on this disc is a Dolby 5.1 track in French, as well as English and Spanish subtitles. The extra features on this edition of Big Fat Liar are plentiful enough to keep children busy for hours. Starting off the disc are two commentary tracks, one by director Shawn Levy and a second by star Frankie Muniz. Each of these tracks offer a good deal of production information and anecdotes about the film's shoot. A short behind-the-scenes featurette is nothing more than a fluffy extended trailer for the film. Finally, there are some Spyro video game tips, as well as a handful of deleted scenes which offer little insight into the story or characters.

Good Funny Family Movie
on November 4, 2008

This is a great movie that everyone in the family will enjoy. It has a unique storyline and Paul Giamatti does a great job playing Marty Wolf. Its a funny movie, but will also teach the kids a valuable lesson about lying. Great movie!
What's great about it: Good family entertainment
What's not so great: Nothing

Great Job Bringing the Simpsons To The Big Screen
on November 3, 2008
Posted by: robertho
I'm a big Simpsons fan so I absolutely loved this movie. They did a great job bring the sitcom to the big screen and Bart and Homer are finally free to say and do what they really want to. Even if you aren't a Simpsons fan you'll enjoy the movie as a good comedy adventure. Great movie!
What's great about it: Bart and Homer act a little bit badder than they normally do on TV!
What's not so great: Nothing

Good Date Movie
on November 2, 2008

This is the perfect date movie that you only need to see once. There are some funny parts and the plot isn't too bad. However, it is very predicatable and it doesn't take you long to guess where the movie is going. Amy Poehler actually steals the show from Tina Fey and does a much better job acting.
What's great about it: Some funny parts
What's not so great: Very predicatable outcome

Good Family Entertainment
on November 1, 2008

This is a great movie the whole family can sit around watch together. Its very predictable and the acting is a little weak, but it will keep you entertained and laughing enough that you will enjoy watching. The visual effects are pretty cool, even though some of it is a little far fetched. Young kids will love watching this movie with you!
What's great about it: Good fun remake of a classic story.
What's not so great: The acting by all is a little weak.

Does A Great Job
on October 30, 2008

I've been using the Bissel Multi-Allegen carpet cleaner for a few years now. Since there are two of us in the house with allergies and we have a pet, it really is necessary when cleaning the carpets. Plus it has proven to be very effective in cleaning the carpet and removing stains. Does a great job!

Quick and Easy Setup

I bought two of these wall mounts for flat panels installs at home. The install was quick and very easy. There is a nice locking feature so you can be sure the TV will not fall or get knocked off the wall. The overall mount is very low profile. Great option for a low price.
What's great about it: Easy installation, low price
What's not so great: Nothing

Fun for awhile
on October 20, 2008

This is not a bad game, but it tends to get boring fast. I've never been a big fan of the "top down" view of games, but it does work better when you have multiple players. The kids have more fun with this game when there are several of them playing at the same time. The graphics are good and its not to bloody or scary for the kids to play.
What's great about it: Good graphics
What's not so great: Gets boring

Not What I Expected
on October 18, 2008

I'm a big fan of the 1st three Indy movies and I own them all on DVD. However, I will not be adding this one to my collection. The first three movie were based off of legends/myths we had all heard of, could easily believe could happen, and could follow along with the story. With this movie I've never heard of the legend, have a hard time believing it could happen, and was completely lost at times. While Harrison Ford is still cool as Indy, there are times when he seems confused and his voice seems to be dubbed over.
What's great about it: Harrison Ford is still cool!
What's not so great: Harrison Ford seems confused at times.

Not For Me

I will admit I have never seen the original Speed Racer series. That said, I just did not enjoy this movie and neither did the kids. The graphics are awesome, but the acting and plot just did not keep me interested in the movie. Maybe you have to be a Speed Racer fan to enjoy this movie.
What's great about it: Awesome graphics
What's not so great: Boring

What is better a tv stand or a tv wall mount?

for a 32" lcd tv.
I prefer to mount on the wall whenever possible. Wall mounting will protect your TV from getting accidently knocked over or bumped in to and can provide a better viewing angle if mounted correctly. If you can hide the wires, a wall-mounted HDTV will look like a work of art in your home! Plus it will free up some floor space.
