Directed by Nick Cassavetes, this adaptation of author Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novel revolves around Noah Calhoun's (James Garner) regular visits to a female patron (Gena Rowlands) of an area nursing home. Rather than bore her with the inanities of everyday life, Calhoun reads from an old, faded notebook containing the sweeping account of a young couple (Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) whose love affair was tragically put to a halt after their separation in the midst of World War II. Seven years later, the couple was reunited, and, despite having taken radically different paths, they found themselves unable to resist the call of a second chance. The Notebook also features Joan Allen, Sam Shepard, and Kevin Connolly.

Miracle tells the story o the gold medal-winning 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team, who were led by the flinty coach Herb Brooks -- portrayed in a good performance by Kurt Russell in the film. The movie is presented in an anamorphic widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. This two-disc set is loaded with supplemental materials including a commentary track recorded by director Gavin O'Connor, editor John Gilroy, and cinematographer Daniel Stoloff. They discuss many aspects of the production including the director's decision to cast the team with people who could actually play hockey. A making-of featurette, a look at how Kurt Russell met and absorbed the nuances of Herb Brooks (who passed away shortly before the film opened in theaters), a featurette on the sound design of the film, and outtakes round out this excellent release.

Bob Clark's perennial holiday favorite A Christmas Story gets the two-disc special-edition treatment from Warner Bros. on this release. The film itself is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Clark along with stars Peter Billingsley and Melinda Dillon. The second disc contains original recordings of Jean Shepherd, whose work formed the basis for the film and who narrates the film; a making-of documentary; interactive trivia; a pair of featurettes; and the original theatrical trailer. This is a solid disc that will be enjoyed by fans of the film.

This is a timeless classic that never gets old and a family tradition every year for my family at Christmas time. This is so funny and makes me remember what it feels like to be a kid during the holidays and really just a kid in general. Buy this! The family will love it and look forward to seeing it every year!

Director Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow) helmed this sci-fi thriller inspired by the stories in Isaac Asimov's nine-story anthology of the same name. In the future presented in the film, humans have become exceedingly dependent on robots in their everyday lives. Robots have become more and more advanced, but each one is preprogrammed to always obey humans and to, under no circumstances, ever harm a human. So, when a scientist turns up dead and a humanoid robot is the main suspect, the world is left to wonder if they are as safe around their electronic servants as previously thought. Will Smith stars as Del Spooner, the robot-hating Chicago cop assigned to the murder investigation. Bridget Moynahan, Bruce Greenwood, James Cromwell, and Chi McBride also star.

Never been much of a fan of Dillon or Hudson but they come together quite well with Owen Wilson shining in this one! They all do a fantastic job in side splitting comedy here. Watch this!

I was very surprised at this movie. Great action, great story, great acting, great all the way around. Cage delivers! Kinda reminds me of the old Indiana Jones movies. Give it a try!

Kenny Ortega directs Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker in the supernatural comedy Hocus Pocus, which arrives on DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, making this a pedestrian release from Disney/Buena Vista that will appeal primarily to Midler enthusiasts.

The best way to describe this movie is fun. Its mild enough for the kids too. There aren't many movies that are fun all the way through, this is one of them. Watch it!

Crude and true at times, this movie reminded me what it was to like to deal with the unknowing, unforgiving, not caring, stupid public as a whole. This movie is hilarious! If you have ever been a waiter or in the food industry you should watch this. If you have ever been the jerk who gives us a hard time you should watch this. Remember this isn't just a movie, someone has had to experience this in order to hit the nail directly on the head. Go ahead be a jerk if we or the kitchen accidentally mess up, go ahead...LOL Watching this movie will make you say oh yeah or oops maybe i shouldn't be a jerk!

can I purchase a part for the wii Rockband drum set?

Unfortunately not...There isn't pieces out there for purchase. Sorry to say you gotta buy the whole drum set. Good thing is, they sell the drum set separately and not just a package with mic and guitar. Hope this helps!
