good game

i have always gotten more enjoyment out of saints row than grand theft auto due to the amount of things you can do outside of missions, also the game has a sence of humor and can be very funny. the graphics are good and there are plenty of vehicles as well as customization options for cars, gangs, even places you buy (safehouse, cribs). it is a neat aspect and they added and improved upon the last saints row game for xbox. the game is definatly worth checking out though if you are a parent the game does have cursing, nudity, obscene gestures, as well as violence of course so be weary of it if you are buying it for your child.
i am dissapointed that the company has not put an update for trophy support, therefore this is a game that i have since traded in after beating for something else. i was hopeing they would put trophies in to warrant another play through, and possibly make me play the game in ways i wouldnt have otherwise thought of.
if you are new to the saints row it is a GTA clone, but done better in my opinion. if you like grand theft auto you will probably like this game. definatly check it out. it is worth buying due to rental time wouldnt give you enough time to fully explore the game, unless you have a subscription based rental service to keep it as long as you want.
What's great about it: plenty to do outside of mission, comical and action packed
What's not so great: needs trophy support to warrant more of a play through

very great game, though it is shorter than morrowind for the origional xbox. the main mission with sidequests was shorter than i expected, even with the added on content. the game is easy to play, and wonderfully detailed.
the oblivion gates can seem repetative and often drawn out to long. the side mission range from escorting people to fight goblins, to my favorit mission, a house party where the goal is to kill all the quests or turn them against eachother and let the panic set in. overall a very good game worth the current price of $30. very detailed world full of items to find, and best of all if someone has something you want but can not afford, you could always pick pocket them or kill them and take it, be weary of guards though, they are a nuisance if you go to far out of line but nothing a good character cant handle. if you like this game i also recommend fallout 3 as well. same detail and freedom only it is set in a post appocolyptic world, and you have guns. very good quality just like bethesda company standards. keep up the great work.
What's great about it: freedom, customization, living world, graphics
What's not so great: no levitate spell

great game, big problems

this game is a very good racing game with alot of customization options, a big city to explore and even add on content. this game also supports trophies though some are kinda lame...spend a total of 10 minutes in the air, drive 50 miles on one wheel on motorcycle, 50 miles on 2 wheels in a car, and even drive a total of 1000 miles or some other number that is a little high.
also the new south central expansion is a pain to install on ps3. there are compatablility issues. first you have to install the free edition, load the game, make sure it worked and you have a bigger map, then download and install the purchased version, load game, then install vehicle packs, load game..,.after about 3 hours of playing it will finally kick in and register to meet the guy at the new garage. the cars are available before then though in your starting garage.
i believe they just released a compatability patch finally to correct the issue but they dropped the ball on this game bigtime with the purchased add on content. nice going rockstar. also i feel that if i have to pay 9.99 for something i should be able to access it right away, not waste 3 hours for it to finally kick in. that was bad and i wish everyone who had to go through the problems would have gotten something for the trouble. it is in the past, it works finally, but the game does freeze to often and it isnt the ps3. it has froze during rate a ride, loading in the garage, loading before races, and it has also froze when exiting a garage. not sure if that can be patched or if it will be since it took so long to get a fix for purchased add on content.
outside of those problems the game is great, before the release of south central add on content there was only the freezing issue. this game is worth a buy but due to lack of timely support and the freezing issue it should either be reduced in price or the add on content should be half price or free. all in all there are plenty of races to keep you busy, though they are easy, and it has online modes as well as well as capture the flag online which is cool. buy the game but be educated on the problems. if the download doesnt work, just make sure you have the expanded content...the extra part on the bottom part of the map, compare the in game map to the map that came with the game (little poster insert). you cant miss it if you compare it. if that works just give it a few hours and play the game, do some races and it should kick in.
What's great about it: gameplay, customization
What's not so great: glitches, freezes, and the south central add-on is a pain to successfully install

still not great

the game has added a few new features like create a finisher which is kind of neat, but you only select moves to link together into a finisher chain..you can not literally make your own finisher. also for once i wish they would make a career mode for female characters so my fiance would get more enjoyment out of the game...she wasnt to thrilled about playing rey mysterio and her creating a character that is female is still pointless since you can do career with females yet. hopefully one day they will realize they have female wrestlers for a reason, and not just to look at. they have the moves to fight, give them their own career, maybe even a shot to wrestle against some guys or something since i know there isnt a full roster of females. i think they would pull in more gamers (especially girls) with a new feature/mode like that. it would be nice to team up with my fiances created character even if it doesnt go by real rules like the shows but it would still be fun if the option was there. that isnt really a gripe about this game, but all the previous games as well. this game lacks true depth, and seems easy, also i miss the locker room of old and the customization options.
the create a wrestler is still as good as ever but i was disapointed with the different career modes available. they took a few steps forward, and a few steps back, still not what it could be. it is worth a rental but not worth buying in my opinion. still think SvsR2008 was better
What's great about it: easy to learn, easy to master
What's not so great: still no female career mode, and 2 player co-op story isnt that good

bethesda is one of those companies that since Morrowind, makes me think of games with a higher set of standards than most game companies. they put alot of detail into their worlds (morrowind, oblivion, fallout 3) and make games that actually make you feel part of it. the graphics are amazing and the detail is awe inspiring. very few times does a game company take pride in their creations like this company. i will admit i was as impressed with oblivion as i was with morrowind but it was still a great game to say the least, and fallout 3 follows in the tradition of what to expect.
fallout 3 is one of few RPG games on the new consoles unfortunatly.
i do have a few gripes about the PS3 version not getting the expansions and have yet to find a reason why, and there could be more weopons in the game (which the expansions added but not on ps3). those are the only issues i have with the ps3 version, but hopefully if they do not come out for download they will make a game of the year edition like oblivion and morrowind.
all and all this game is very good, and their are plently of choises to make and you can go anywhere you want. the game gives you the freedom to make your character, assign your skills, and other customization options. all in all it is a great game to add to your collection, if you havent played it i would recommend buying this game, however as a warning, the game does feature gore and limbs and heads do come off when you shoot them so if you are reading this as a parent, you may want to keep that in mind, also there are some curse words in the game as well, the f word to be precise.
What's great about it: living, breathing world where if you cant afford something, you can kill and take it
What's not so great: cant think of anything, would be neat to have online play of somekind

this game did not keep my attention very long, it seemed to be lacking variety in play. i am not a FPS fanatic but i do like games like call of duty 4 and 5, which are FPS games. the enemies on this game are repetative and that is probably part of the lack of interest. i mainly got this game to kill time waiting for something else to come out and i thought it would be a good game to play but i wasnt impressed with the way they executed the game. the wierd thing is, it is one of those games that a couple of friends of mine have agreed it wasnt that great but noone can seem to pinpoint what it is about the game that makes it not so great. i woudl recommend renting this game rather than purchasing the first time. i guess it would be ok to buy it if you love every FPS game that comes out but i am not a big FPS game fan. i played halo on xbox and beat it on legendary, it was neat but the last level was a pain, i played halo 2 and it was more like halp 1 so i lost interest fast. there is something about the game that has a "been there, done that, this is boring" feel to it. i am a trophy junkie, and i sold the game a week after i got it instead of working on the trophies, i guess if i could find a copy for $20 i would buy it just to get the trophies, but i definatly wouldnt pay $60 for this game. i would strongly urge to borrow or rent this game before purchasing, or check out Call of duty 4 and call of duty 5 (call of duty 4 doesnt have trophies)
What's great about it: graphics
What's not so great: seems to be lacking something for a non FPS fanatic

i am not a big fan of first person shooter games. i have played halo 1 and 2 and thought they were kinda dumb. also wasnt to into resistance 2 either. something was lacking from both series for a NON FPS fanatic. i bought this game a week ago, and then bought call of duty 4 since everyone said it was better as well and to be hoenst both of them are fun to play.
the graphics are amazing on both games and the weopons are fun and plenty. the online mode features an "experiance" type system use dto "level up" and unlock new weapons and "abilities/ perks". that makes the game excellent and keeps you busy.
the downside for a new player is when you first start out online, you dont have the good weopons becuase you have not "leveled up" and unlocked them for use..so it is a little frustrating at times to be unloading on someone with a gun and get shot once and die when you just pumped 2 shot gun shells into them or 20 machine gun rounds. it is still fun and expected to have a little trouble starting out but like in real life it isnt really about skill but about who has the bigger guns in the end but it is still possible to level and get kills, just harder. it is still fun to play and makes the game a little more chanllenging and worth playing to level up and get access to better weopons.
i am not a big fan of FPS games but this game and COD 4 is an exception. i would advise anyone who can play a FPS game and understand the controls to play the game at least once. in my opinion both were worth buying, i havent played them long enough to say 4 is better than 5 like some people say, to me they are about the same except one is modern and the other takes place during WW2. they are both great games and worth picking up.
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: online play is harder due to lack of weopons and perks when you first start out.

another GTA game

this is yet another GTA game comparable to past GTA games. the graphics are by far the best of the series and they did take a more realistic approach on driving, shooting than previous games. the game in my opinion was not worth the origional $60 price tag due to lack of diversions out side of the main mission unlike saints row.
the game does support trophies which does add some replay value but there seems to be a few things lacking compared to the previous san andreas such as vehicle customization, working out to get bigger and stronger, the need to eat but not over eat. some of the features that made the last game stand out are missing which kind of takes away from the fun of it (working out was not fun, but getting bigger and dual wielding sawed off shot guns and making your car look different were neat aspects)
they have dating in the game which is more of a pain than anything, dealing with all the personal relationships in the game to keep everyone happy. i personally found it annoying to have to stop game progress to take everyone out on a "date" so they continue to like you and give you their help/bonuses in the game. all in all they went forward in the series while taking a few steps back, maybe the next GTA game will hit the nail on the head (or score a bullseye for those who play darts in the game). they added dart, pool, and bowling as a diversion, the games are not great but it is something to do outside of the missions and they have trophies associated with them as well. all in all a good game for the $40 right now.
What's great about it: its another GTA game
What's not so great: not enough diversions to keep the gameplay fresh

best game of the series

i have played previous resident evil games and i havent enjoyed one since the outbreak series on ps2. i did not care for 4 at all and in general i havent been a big fan of here is 10 bullets and 1000000 zombies, have fun. gameplay of previous resident evil games.
this game takes the series in a new dirrection, with a "dont let any zombie survive" attitude and style. no more having to run away from zombies becuase there is plenty of ammo, plenty of guns, and even weapon upgrades and a ton of unlockables that include unlimited ammo for each weapon (gun type only, no infintie grenades) character/creature figures, new characters to play online vs modes, new modes of play, higher difficulties, alternate costumes among other things including (which i think is neat) you can unlock different items (character statues for chris, sheva, the other girl whose name i cant remember, bettles, treasure chest and i think 1 more)for your playstation home house (interactive virtual world online that is free from playstation on the xcross media bar (playstation home).). it is kinda dumb and pointless but it is neat to have that little extra feature as a reward for beating certain aspects of the game. the game is definatly my favorite game at this time and i have played xbox 360 (which was a peice of junk cuase i went through 4 of them), and am new to ps3 (with in 2 months) but already own about 15 new games and have played others. this is the best game i have played in a while.
the online co-op is what sets the game apart from being just another game, if it was just a single player game it would still be good and worth buying, but it would not be what it is right now in my book. the computer AI is not good enough to do the harder modes unless you want to be a full time babysitter and stay right next to them 99% of the time which is doable but a pain, also is it me or the higher the difficulty the less your partner does...on hard they wont even pick up gold anymore..almost as lazy as real people..although i dont know anyone that wouldnt pick up free money.
the online co-op makes up for that and replaces the lazy ai with a living, thinking being capable of common sence, for the most part anyways, which breathes new life in to harder difficulties and you have someone to communicate with on the headset which is better than playing alone, and you can work out strategies and help eachother find hidden BSAA emblems and other goods that one may otherwise miss alone.
i like the new dirrection, the game is far from hard when starting out, the controls take some getting used to but in the end i give it 100% and a must own for co-op, online capabilities and fun factor. by far the best game out there at this time for ps3 in my opinion.
What's great about it: co-op, ammo-a-plenty,
What's not so great: not a thing, though i hate the interactive movies..movie time is bathroom break time..not push a button time

i have been a fan of the sacred series since it came out, at the time sacred 1 was the next diablo game that blizzard, at the time, had no interest in becuase they were focusing on the starcraft and warcraft series. needless to say i was excited when i heard this was coming out and 2 people can play on one ps3 becuase my fiance and i had fun with games like champions of norrath 1 and 2 for ps2. all the hype about the game and rumors of gameplay made it seem that much more appealing. unfortunatly the rumors were wrong which i will cover now. there was a rumor that you could play 2 people on one console and 2 people online at the same time. this is not correct, 2 people on one console can not play online. also you can not trade items (or drop them, instead you destroy them) when playing 2 people on one console. you also need to have 2 profiles on the ps3 in order to play co-op on one system which is unnessesary. the instructions are not clear and the instructions also state that 2 player co-op one one system the characters can exchange items through the Hero chest, this is also not true at this time. also when my fiance and i played together and saved the game, it saved her character completely, but it did not save my characters items that i aquired, but it saved my character level. i got the game on the 12th of may, the release date becuase i had it on pre-order. so far i dont think many people have the game, it is already back ordered on bestbuy.com and bestbuy didnt have it releasing until 5-14-09. at this time there are no patches on the PS3 version that correct the problems, i have not played online multiplayer yet due to lack of people that have the game becuase it seems not many were shipped out at the time of origional release. if you have played sacred 1 for pc, you will also be let down becuase they took all but the seraphim characters, the new characters are not that great, i miss the battlemage big time. the new characters are mediocre, some of the abilities are cool, but i miss the big spells of the battlemage. the graphics on the game are good, and there are plenty of items to find and alot of quests to keep you busy. though the game is lacking on the single console multiplayer at this time the game is worth picking up due to PS3's lack of RPG games. if you are a fan of the diablo series it is worth looking into and if you have played sacred on the pc, the only let down may be the multiplayer experiance and the new characters. hopefully knowing ps3 there will be an update to correct the problems but it is all up to ascaron since they would need to put the patch out. this is their first console game i beleive, all in all a pretty good first shot.
What's great about it: its an rpg along the lines of diablo 2
What's not so great: multiplayer needs improvement
I would recommend this to a friend!

How do you set up windows media to your xbox 360 with windows xp software?

I am using an xbox 360 elite limited editon (resident evil 5 one), and i wanted to put media center on it.

How to I set it up with a wireless network?
To set up Windows Media Center:
If you use Windows XP, first go to www.xbox.com/pcsetup and click Setup to download the latest Windows Media Center software update to your PC running Windows Media Center.

Note
Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and Windows Vista Ultimate Edition come pre-installed with Windows Media Center.
Connect your Xbox 360 console to your PC using one of the connection types described in "Connect to Xbox LIVE."
On your Xbox 360 console, go to My Xbox and open Windows Media Center . Follow the on-screen instructions to finish Windows Media Center setup.

Along with standard DVD remote control functions, the Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote features a Windows Media Center button that lets you access a connected PC running Windows Media Center.

Xbox 360 can connect to an 802.11g or an 802.11a router with an optional wireless adapter such as the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter. Optimal performance is possible only when your Xbox 360 console connects to your network using the 802.11a standard. Other wireless devices, such as portable computers or desktop computers, connect with 802.11g.

Note
If you use wireless networking equipment that is not "Designed for Media Center Edition" (DfMCE) logo certified, you may experience poor wireless performance when you connect to PC running Windows XP and Windows Media Center.

To guarantee compatibility with current gear and to provide additional uninterrupted bandwidth for Xbox 360, replace an older 802.11g-only router with a newer, dual-band 802.11g and 802.11a router that is DfMCE certified.

Media Center Remote Control
The Xbox 360 console can be configured for use with your Media Center Remote Control. With this you can use familiar remote features to control the Windows Media Center features that are available with Xbox 360.

To use a Media Center remote control together with the Xbox 360:
Go to the My Xbox and select System Settings.
Select Console Settings.
Scroll down and select Remote Control.
Select Both Remotes.
Press Back (B) a few times to return to the Xbox Dashboard.

If the Xbox 360 console is turned off, press Start to turn it on and to start Media Center. When the system is on, you can press Start from any area of the Xbox Dashboard to jump straight to Media Center.

Note
The Media Center remote control cannot adjust the volume level for Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 Universal Remote is the best way to access the features of Media Center on the Xbox 360 system. You can control your Xbox 360 experience with an ergonomic design that includes backlit buttons, TV controls, and integrated Media Center controls.

ps3

2.0 usb flash drive. will it work on the ps3
most flash drives will work on ps3, some however you will have to format into either a ntfs or fat 32 drive (cant remember which) you can do this on your computer by plugging the device in, and going to the drive itself to view folders and click formatt ( on win xp it is on the left side bar as an option) it will however delete anything on the card. to get the ps3 to read items on it ,as an example a movie, you would go to movies on the media bar in ps3, highlight (do not push x to select the thumbdrive) the thumbdrive under movies and press triangle and select veiw all. other wise the ps3 will act like there is nothing on the drive.

i have this sprint USB thing and i dont know how to set it up to my PS3

i have it working on my laptop perfectly...just plug it in and go. but when i plug it in the ps3 it wont even show up.
the ps3 doesnt pick up some items in the usb ports (it wont detect a digital camera that i have from kodak) you may need to re-ask the question and state what the item is, what does it do. is it a phone (majic jack, vonage type device, wireless internet device (ps3 is wireless out of the box) is it a memory device of some kind) without know what the device is and does it is rather difficult to find a solution.

Is Sony going to have a price cut for ps3 like the rumors are saying

to be honest rumors of this nature have been going on for a while, i was told of a price cut in april that never happened. it is unclear at this time unless sony announces it themselves. i do know that sony takes a hit on every system they sale right now, meaning it costs more to make them than what they sale them for becuase of their own chipset they had made for the system. i woudlnt count on a price cut anytime soon, and if it happens with-in 30 days of your ps3 purchase i know most stores will honor the new price and will provide a refund. i woudlnt count on a price cut anytime soon unless sony becomes desperate to sell, especially since a descent blue ray player alone is running $300.00 by itself. i woudlnt count on a price cut due to that alone, if you are debating on buying one, i will tell you that overall it is worth the $400 price tag considering you dont have to buy accessories like you do with xbox 360 (wireless adapter is 99 dollars alone on 360 and ps3 is wireless right out of the box, and it comes with a rechargable controller which is another $20 on xbox and the online is free and xbox 360 is $60 a year plus you cant browse the internet like with ps3, considering all that ps3 is cheaper than xbox 360 in the long run already)

I am looking to buy an xbox for the first time and the elite seems like a pretty good deal. Is it worth $400 plus a year of live 2 games + controller

to be honest when you consider you have to buy the system, xbox live, a play and charge kit (unless you like batteries) a $99 wireless adapter you are actually paying more than you would for a more reliable ps3 which is ready to go out of the box. the only thing i purchased with my ps3 was a headset (any blue tooth headset that utilizes bluetooth 2.0 or later will work) and a controller for my fiance (and a seperate usb cable to charge it or you can get a charges that charges multiple controllers at the same time) you do get a chance to win a free game on xbox 360 called RED RING OF DEATH as well. the system reliability for xbox 360 is below standard. i myself have had a total of 4 360's, 3 of which have been since march of 2009. i woudl advise against xbox but that is just my opinion. do keep in mind im not a playstation fan boy, i just want a system that works and i got it and more with PS3
