great zombie bashing fun

this game had its flaws when it was first released, such as being set back a few levels if you joined an online game with someone who wasnt as far as you, but since being patched it has been alot better.
you get to pick between 4 characters to play as. each character has their strengths and weaknesses and can be develped according to your prefered play style. the graphics are pretty good considering similar games.
the game is pretty much a melee bashing game, guns come into play later in the game but for the most part you use weapons like paddles, bats, sticks, knives and other melee weapons. once you get guns ammo is limited so it is advisable to still carry melee weapons around as back up.
the areas you can explore include an island, sewers, a city, and a jungle to name a few. i personally dont enjoy levels like the sewers but they are manageble. there is DLC available for this game including a new character/side story and a blood bath arena. in the arena you can carry any exp and weapons over to your main game which is nice. over all the game is pretty good and does something different with it not being a total shooter. the meele weapons are pulkled off pretty good and the game does require a bit of thinking in some instances and does a good job at making you feel overwhelmed in some parts, especially playing with other characters around your level. over all a good game that is better than left for dead and dead rising.
What's great about it: co-op, great graphics
What's not so great: buggy upon first release of game, but it is patched now.

not the best of the series, but worth playing

this is the 5th installment in the soul calibur series. the graphics are top notch in locations and character models which is to be expected in the series. the character custimization looks good and has a good selection of items to choose from when creating your own character, sadly though most options for clothing customization are bland and nothing really stands out. i got the collectors edition of the game and it came with a code for the dark and light (good/evil) armor sets, but it doesnt appear to be a full set (no leggings, arm guards ect.). i myself wasnt able to make a character that looked any near as good as the default characters available, and i dont think there are any other customization options that can be unlocked through playing the game which makes the character creation mode a bit lacking, but there are some items available through the xbox marketplace to purchase, it isnt much but it adds a little bit.
in regards to gameplay the characters are as fluid as ever and they have added some new attacks. the story mode however is lacking alot. it sticks you ith a generic character and you use him to progress through the main story. most of the story is done by story boards that feel cheaply put together and are lacking compared to previous soul calibur games. it doesnt feel like they put as much efffort into teh story mode as previous games.
teh game does have multiplayer to keep players hooked, but in the end it becomes a game that is worth playing, just not worth purchasing at full retail. i recommend the game, but i would wait till it does on sale at a lower price.
What's great about it: great graphics and gameplay
What's not so great: lacking single player story/ not enough character customization

i love the battlefield experiance. the destructible environments add a new level to gameplay compared to other FPS games on the market. the single player campaign isnt too bad but i dididnt enjoy it as much as the first one due to the fact the first bad company game had a stronger sence of humor for the characters over this one, though it still has its moments.
the multiplayer is a blast and i still enjoy it to this day, but like usual there are not many game modes to choose from unlike call of duty games which have a slew of game modes to choose from.
the vehicles in this game are fun to drive, though the helicopters are difficult to get the hang of and there is no real way to practice flying other than just doing it.
overall its a fun game, even now it holds its own with mw3 and bf3 in my opinion.
What's great about it: fun game all around
What's not so great: lack of game modes.

fun multiplayer, boring single player

the multiplayer on this is fun to play but as usual there are not very many multiplayer game modes available. also as far as i know there is no way to tell what weapon damage is when choosing a load out. the maps are varied and vehicles are as fun as ever but they need to add more to the game modes in battlefield. it kinda gets old after a while due to limited game modes.
the single player campaign is horrible and feels tacked on just so teh game couldnt be called a multiplayer only title. it is not as action packed as i thought it would be and some sequences are long and drawn out like the unskippable start to the first jet level. all in all it is a campaign to play once and i found it hard to even bother playing through it again to finish the achievements.
all in all if you liked the previous battlefield games you will feel at home with this title, over all the multiplayer is fun even though it seems like most people just are not that great and it doesnt take much to take the top of the scoreboard (this is from someone who is horrible at COD multiplayer)
What's great about it: multiplayer fun
What's not so great: lame menues for weaopon load outs/ single player campaign

the single player campaign is as great as the first 2 modern warfare games. it finally puts a conclusion on the series but i wouldnt be surprised if it continues past MW3.
the multiplayer changed and added a few new things such as support kill streaks (where it doesnt restart your streak if you die) along with confirm the kill for deathmatch games which is nice.
the downside is the fact that weapon stats can increase as you level up and become more "proficient" with that weapon as you continue to use it...while it sounds great there is nothing worse than going up against someone using the same gun as you, you shoot them before they shoot you, but you die because they are higher level and have more use with that weapon. it can cause some frustration, especially with other players who are obviously not as skilled but the kill you first because they have played the game since release.
i do enjoy the new mode that replaced the zombie mode, i think it is survival mode but i am not sure..but i do enjoy the gameplay of it more than i did the zombie modes in previous cod games. it is fighting against regular game enemies in increasingly more difficlt waves on a set map instead of a stage full of puzzles.
over all it is a fun game, frustrating at times, but still fun regardless, but i do have to say it is not worth $60 just due to teh fact that it doesnt do enough in the multiplayer aspect to warrant a full price tag when it is so similar to previous entries. i would advise finding it for $40 or less just for the fact there isnt enough additional contenct to warrent $60
What's great about it: great campaign
What's not so great: goofy additional features that didnt work out so well.

this game starts aff a bit differently than the previous batman arkum asylum. once you get the batman outfit you have your arsenal of gear already at your disposal instead of having to find it or unlock it.
the gameplay is pretty much the same only arkum city is alot bigger than arkum asylum and most of it is open from the start. the riddler trophies are harder to get than they were in arkum asylum. most of them require multiple switches to hit in order to expose them, which some of them require some thinking and strategy to get to open up.
the story constinues after arkum asylum and the joker has gotten sick due to the titan he took at teh end of the first game. the story fits in and continues on a more open area to explore with ALOT more places to go into and search for riddler trophies. over all it is a great game, sometimes even more complex than the first one, which isnt a bad thing. over all it is worth purchasing, if you are a fan i suggest looking for the collectors edition as it is right up there in quality as tharkum asylum.
What's great about it: continuing story that fits seamlessly.
What's not so great: nothing other than still no co-op at all, but it isnt needed.

this is the first batman game released that actually has been able to make you really feel as if you are playing as batman. the story line is great along with the enemy encounters. the game does a great job at granting the players proper controlls and fullfilling the caped crusaders moves and abilities. there are plenty of gadgets including batarangs, zip line, grappling hooks and a device to hack/diable door control consoles so you can access certain areas.
there are also alot of items to unlock, mostly including character stautes to look at, along with information regarding characters.
ovrall the feel and look of the game is great, although in the end the game feels short and i was disappointed it was over and all the enemies were defeated, however once you beat the game you are free to explore the area and finish the riddler challanges.
overall teh game is great, and if you have been looking for a successfull attempt at a game putting you in control of batman this is the game you have been looking for.
What's great about it: great portrayal of batman and his abilities
What's not so great: no multiplayer

just what the ps3 needed

I was curious about this game when i first heard about it, and finding that it wasnt $60 but only $40 i couldnt pass it up. so far from what i played it reminds me alot of the old zelda game on nes. you have items similar to zelda like the boomerang, apples represent your health (instead of hearts) and some of the enemies are very similar in appearance and behavior. The game however is not a copy or a remake, it pays homage to games like zelda, final fantasy and other rpg games, some are even modern (reference to demons souls).
the hero has a sword that has the ability to be upgraded in length, width, strength and other things such as granting spin abilities. the sword can actually be upgraded to take up most of the screen, however it only does so if you are at full health. the game has caves/temples with puzzles suck as having to move blocks to get to other areas, having to hit switches with boomerangs and other things that will bring up fond memories of previous games. if you ask me this is what the ps3 needed, an exclusive rpg game that brings back fond memories of childhood that was done with great care and isnt just some knock off or something that felt rushed or poorly executed. the game is excellent and worth the money, it would even be worth the common $60 price tag, the price break is just a bonus. as of right now there is no dlc nor does the box mention dlc in the future at all. the bottom line is the game is great and will definatly give you a great amount of length for the price that is fun an enjoyable. definatly worth purchasing.

best online experiance

so far this is the best online experiance i have played. there is virtually no lag at all, even with 256 players. team work is the objective so if you are in to call of duty you will need to change your tactics, run and gun doesnt work well here and if you are not helping your team you will probably lose very quickly, unless your team is good enough to make up for your short comings.
the downside to the game is there isnt as many weapons as other shooters like call of duty and all weaopons are almost the same besides cosmetic differences in factions (each factions weapons are about the same but look different). there also are not many vehicles to use unlike bad company 2. if you are looking for an online game i would strongly recommend this game as well as bad company 2, both are worth purchasing and both are extremely fun online.
also VERY IMPORTANT, i have heard some stories of people not being told this or reading it on the box, MAG IS ONLINE ONLY. if you do not have high speed internet capable of playing games on ps3 online DO NOT BUY THIS GAME as there is NO SINGLE PLAYER MODE.
to sum it up, buy it, use team work and help win the war.
What's great about it: so far it is the best online gaming multiplayer game out
What's not so great: needs more weapons and more distinction between factions besides cosmetic looks

How do you set up windows media to your xbox 360 with windows xp software?

I am using an xbox 360 elite limited editon (resident evil 5 one), and i wanted to put media center on it.

How to I set it up with a wireless network?
To set up Windows Media Center:
If you use Windows XP, first go to www.xbox.com/pcsetup and click Setup to download the latest Windows Media Center software update to your PC running Windows Media Center.

Note
Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and Windows Vista Ultimate Edition come pre-installed with Windows Media Center.
Connect your Xbox 360 console to your PC using one of the connection types described in "Connect to Xbox LIVE."
On your Xbox 360 console, go to My Xbox and open Windows Media Center . Follow the on-screen instructions to finish Windows Media Center setup.

Along with standard DVD remote control functions, the Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote features a Windows Media Center button that lets you access a connected PC running Windows Media Center.

Xbox 360 can connect to an 802.11g or an 802.11a router with an optional wireless adapter such as the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter. Optimal performance is possible only when your Xbox 360 console connects to your network using the 802.11a standard. Other wireless devices, such as portable computers or desktop computers, connect with 802.11g.

Note
If you use wireless networking equipment that is not "Designed for Media Center Edition" (DfMCE) logo certified, you may experience poor wireless performance when you connect to PC running Windows XP and Windows Media Center.

To guarantee compatibility with current gear and to provide additional uninterrupted bandwidth for Xbox 360, replace an older 802.11g-only router with a newer, dual-band 802.11g and 802.11a router that is DfMCE certified.

Media Center Remote Control
The Xbox 360 console can be configured for use with your Media Center Remote Control. With this you can use familiar remote features to control the Windows Media Center features that are available with Xbox 360.

To use a Media Center remote control together with the Xbox 360:
Go to the My Xbox and select System Settings.
Select Console Settings.
Scroll down and select Remote Control.
Select Both Remotes.
Press Back (B) a few times to return to the Xbox Dashboard.

If the Xbox 360 console is turned off, press Start to turn it on and to start Media Center. When the system is on, you can press Start from any area of the Xbox Dashboard to jump straight to Media Center.

Note
The Media Center remote control cannot adjust the volume level for Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 Universal Remote is the best way to access the features of Media Center on the Xbox 360 system. You can control your Xbox 360 experience with an ergonomic design that includes backlit buttons, TV controls, and integrated Media Center controls.

ps3

2.0 usb flash drive. will it work on the ps3
most flash drives will work on ps3, some however you will have to format into either a ntfs or fat 32 drive (cant remember which) you can do this on your computer by plugging the device in, and going to the drive itself to view folders and click formatt ( on win xp it is on the left side bar as an option) it will however delete anything on the card. to get the ps3 to read items on it ,as an example a movie, you would go to movies on the media bar in ps3, highlight (do not push x to select the thumbdrive) the thumbdrive under movies and press triangle and select veiw all. other wise the ps3 will act like there is nothing on the drive.

i have this sprint USB thing and i dont know how to set it up to my PS3

i have it working on my laptop perfectly...just plug it in and go. but when i plug it in the ps3 it wont even show up.
the ps3 doesnt pick up some items in the usb ports (it wont detect a digital camera that i have from kodak) you may need to re-ask the question and state what the item is, what does it do. is it a phone (majic jack, vonage type device, wireless internet device (ps3 is wireless out of the box) is it a memory device of some kind) without know what the device is and does it is rather difficult to find a solution.

to be honest rumors of this nature have been going on for a while, i was told of a price cut in april that never happened. it is unclear at this time unless sony announces it themselves. i do know that sony takes a hit on every system they sale right now, meaning it costs more to make them than what they sale them for becuase of their own chipset they had made for the system. i woudlnt count on a price cut anytime soon, and if it happens with-in 30 days of your ps3 purchase i know most stores will honor the new price and will provide a refund. i woudlnt count on a price cut anytime soon unless sony becomes desperate to sell, especially since a descent blue ray player alone is running $300.00 by itself. i woudlnt count on a price cut due to that alone, if you are debating on buying one, i will tell you that overall it is worth the $400 price tag considering you dont have to buy accessories like you do with xbox 360 (wireless adapter is 99 dollars alone on 360 and ps3 is wireless right out of the box, and it comes with a rechargable controller which is another $20 on xbox and the online is free and xbox 360 is $60 a year plus you cant browse the internet like with ps3, considering all that ps3 is cheaper than xbox 360 in the long run already)

I am looking to buy an xbox for the first time and the elite seems like a pretty good deal. Is it worth $400 plus a year of live 2 games + controller

to be honest when you consider you have to buy the system, xbox live, a play and charge kit (unless you like batteries) a $99 wireless adapter you are actually paying more than you would for a more reliable ps3 which is ready to go out of the box. the only thing i purchased with my ps3 was a headset (any blue tooth headset that utilizes bluetooth 2.0 or later will work) and a controller for my fiance (and a seperate usb cable to charge it or you can get a charges that charges multiple controllers at the same time) you do get a chance to win a free game on xbox 360 called RED RING OF DEATH as well. the system reliability for xbox 360 is below standard. i myself have had a total of 4 360's, 3 of which have been since march of 2009. i woudl advise against xbox but that is just my opinion. do keep in mind im not a playstation fan boy, i just want a system that works and i got it and more with PS3
