Love my new Chromebook!!

I have never owned a Chromebook before but was very interested in this new 15" model. I was not disappointed.
The first thing is that there is nothing special about the physical characteristics of it. Plastic flat gray shell, plain keyboard and screen. But it is lightweight and really gets the job done.
The other thing I love about it is the Google Play Store integration. I can download any app that I use on my phone and access it on the laptop. This is a very awesome feature. I spent about a whole day just messing around with apps.
Then this is "instant on" from a wake and sleep perspective. I know this is nothing new with Chromebooks but still worth mentioning when it comes to performance and speed. There are no moving parts in the laptop so everything is instant.
The battery life is respectable, but not overwhelmingly good. That may be the only thing that I can say could be improved.
It has an HDMI port that I have already used to watch TV from a streaming app I downloaded from the Play Store and watched on my TV. It is a better experience than using a browser. I also stream my browser to my TV via my Chromecast which is an extra plus.
Overall I really love this laptop and it has quickly replaced my old HP Windows Laptop.

Good, not great

My initial impression of these earbuds was pretty good. The packaging was nice and the case and earbuds looked solid. Very nice and smooth and everything has a nice feel to it.
The pairing of them was very simple as most bluetooth devices are. You just hold the button and it goes into pairing mode and I then synced it to my phone. Nothing unusual here.
The fit was not very good. I personally found that none of the rubber tips included provided a comfortable fit. I actually had to grab a pair from the many pairs I already own to find one that fit well. I believe it is due to the way the large bulk of the earbud itself is supposed to fit in your outer ear. The included rubber cover for the body of the earbud does help keep it in place as well.
The sound is very nice. The sound is very clear and the bass is just right. They don't sound over digitized. I enjoyed listening to music on them. Also, I noticed that video was NOT out of sync with the audio when using these. That is a common issue I have when using bluetooth earbuds. So that was nice.
Flashing Lights!! There are too many flashing lights associated with these earbuds! They flash constantly a bright blue light when they are on, I mean constantly. When I use them at night to go to bed, the flashing blue lights light up the room. As of now I do not know if there is any way to disable them. When I am laying in bed the light actually bothers me if it reflects off the wall or some other object. I don't believe this helps the battery life. The case also lights up very bright as it charges the earbuds. I feel this this too is unnecessary. I just think subtle lights are all that is needed for earbuds, why go overboard with such bright lights flashing for every little thing?
The battery life is very good, I have not had an issue with them dying on me in the middle of an activity. They will last me at least a day of normal use, with intermittent music. Maybe 3-4 hours of solid constant use. The case also gives them 2-3 more charges.
Once in a while the sound fades in or out for no reason. So far it has only happened twice but hopefully doesn't become a constant issue.
Overall I really like these headphones but they do leave a little to be desired.

I have always used Window's Defender up until now. I thought the free Microsoft application was all I needed. I was wrong. My computer was being attached by viruses every day it seemed. I was having items quarantined and hardware was starting to get effected. So I got this new Bitdefender Internet Security. It simply works.
Installation was super easy. You go to their website and register an account. Then you go to subscriptions and add your unique code. Then you install the software. It does the rest. Within minutes my computer was protected. I can also add it to 2 more computers. The Lenovo I installed it on was the most important though. So far I have not had any issues at all. It is monitoring my internet usage and blocking anything from getting to my computer. I can see the difference because I was having so many issues before I installed this.
I am very happy with this and it is worth the money. Free anti-virus software cannot give you the protection that this does. I am glad I installed it.

Exceptional quality and lightweight

When I took this projector out of the box I thought it was too lightweight to be any good. But after using for the first time I was very impressed.
Initial setup was so easy and straightforward as are most projectors. There is a quick 4 screen setup menu when you first power it on and you are good to go.
I hooked up an amazon firestick to it and my Bose speaker to the audio out and I was watching cartoons with my daughters in a matter of minutes. Very impressed with the big bright and brilliant display. The girls were blown away. All that was missing was the popcorn (we ran out). We had to stop watching only for dinner. This has now become our favorite in house activity, especially since winter is here.
Overall I am very pleased with the projector and it has quickly become my family's favorite piece of tech.

Wonderful speaker, poor Alexa device

I was so excited to receive this item that I could barely contain myself. I have so many "smart home" devices and have always considered getting an Alexa device such as an Echo to control it all. When I saw the UE Blast with built in Alexa control I could not resist. Then I received it...
Once I received the speaker I immediately set it up. It required an app that helped set it up. The app does almost nothing other than get the speaker online to your wi-fi. It does not offer any other useful features, maybe to update the system software when need be. The real functionality comes form the Alex app. That links all of your smart devices to the speaker and also to your Amazon account. This was the most exciting part for me.
After set up I wanted to test it out. So I asked Alexa to open Pandora and play one of my favorite stations. No she says. Although the Alexa app allows you to link your Pandora account the speaker is NOT compatible with Pandora. What?? Then I read the box and it shows that the speaker works with only like 3 apps, iHeart Radio, Tune In, and Amazon Music. Huh? I was so confused. I pay for Pandora premium, so not being able to use it via the built in Alexa is extremely disappointing.
So I asked Alexa to "play me some music". She started to play some songs. They sounded familiar, like it was pulling from my Google Play music library. So I asked Alexa to play a specific song and she says no again. I then asked Alexa "where are you playing music from?" She said she wasn't sure. Literally said she wasn't sure. Ugh. I then asked her to change my thermostat's temperature and she said that she could not do that either. Wow. The novelty of Alexa wore off quickly, not only with me but with all 3 other members of my household. They actually are angry with her and want her to leave.
Now the speaker itself is terrific, which is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 3. I love the crisp sound and the battery life is fantastic. I still have not needed to recharge it. It also gets very loud. I have to lower it sometimes since it is playing so loudly I don't even realize it.
Overall I must say that the speaker works great as a portable waterproof rugged speaker, but you can say that about a lot of Bluetooth speakers. The Alexa feature was what was supposed to set it apart. That turns out to be the most disappointing feature on this device.

I love these cameras!!

First I must say that I own a Ring video doorbell and subscribe to Xfinity Home security with 1 camera. When I got this camera system I really wanted to have something set up in my backyard and a way to check in on my dogs for when we leave them home alone.
Setting up these cameras was very easy, I think there was only one issue when setting up but it was not a big deal. I had everything up and running in about 15 minutes or so.
Once set up you must go into the settings and adjust the alerts. By default it set up a motion alert for every little thing that passes, including when you first try to place it and adjust it, then every time something passes it. I just shut the notifications off completely.
Now I can easily check in on my precious fur babies and even talk to them via the 2 way communication built into the camera. I highly recommend this system, I actually love it.

Good, not great

When I first got this I was very excited to use a multi purpose stick vac that was cordless. The thought of not having a cord get in the way was very appealing. My first impression of this machine was that it is quite heavy compared to my corded stick. I am not not the weakest person but my arm did get tired vacuuming the ceiling cobwebs. When using it on the floor it worked much better for my arms. The battery did last about 27 minutes which is enough for most tasks. If you are planning on doing a whole house deep clean then it will probably not go the distance.I found that it did a good job cleaning but found myself wanting to go back to my corded stick vac due to it being more light weight and easier to use. The cord did not bother me as much anymore. I even had my wife try it to see if it was just me but she agreed. It also has an app, not sure why I downloaded it as it offers almost nothing to the vacuum's experience. You can check the battery level and get tips on its use. There may have been other features but nothing worth noting. Overall I thought I would have been wowed by this vacuum but it just left more to be desired.

Love everything but the battery life

I know it is hard to have high expectations of long battery life from a package so small, but once you have experienced them you crave it. After paired they will start to sync once you remove them from their case. This makes pairing super easy. Then you get to experience wireless earbuds. The lack of any wire makes them soooo nice. No more tangled wires or bulky neck braces for the headphones.
I even like to use them at night to fall asleep when I don't want to disturb my wife with my music and they are awesome. They are also noise cancelling which makes running around on errands or exercising very nice. Then you just snap them back into their case to charge up for next time.
The only thing is the battery life. I did not get the 3 hours as advertised, even on a low volume setting. I know they are small and I should not expect long battery life but it is hard to have something so nice only last so long. It is kind of disappointing. Last night they died even before I fell asleep and then had no music to lull me to sleep. Maybe that's just my problem but I really like these and wish they would just last longer.
Overall, these are great headphones, but can only be used in moderation.

I have owned several Phillips Norelco shavers and I have loved them all. I usually don't replace the shaver heads since I have never noticed a difference in shave closeness but would rather replace to get a fresh shaver with a new battery.
This shaver has the nice pivot head that moves in all directions for a really nice shave. It cuts very close just as I expect from their shavers. It is nice to know that they have not reduced the quality of their shavers in any way that I can tell. It has a nice feel in your hand and even has a "turbo" button. I tried it and am not sure I will find myself using it much. I cannot see myself in need of a faster more turbocharged shave. That is just me. It is nice to know that there is an option for those who feel like they need more power in their shave.
The one thing that I am not sure if I will like is the "change shaver heads" indicator light that will light up after about a year of use according to the instruction booklet. I will not know until I have had it for a year but could not see an option to disable that light when that time comes. If I have to put up with an always on warning light for me to replace the shave heads that will be very annoying. Cannot ding them for it yet as I have not owned it that long to see it.
The battery lasts a very long time, which is highly desirable. It has a built in lithium battery. I have been using it for over a week now and have yet to recharge it.
You can also replace the main shave head with the trimmer. If I used the trimmer every day this may present a problem, but since I do not use it every day it is not a problem. I am used to the old shavers where the trimmer is built into the shaver. This feature does make the shaver more slim and sleek so maybe that is the exchange.
Overall I find this shaver to be of the utmost quality and performance. I think that Phillips has a great model in which it develops shavers. You can notice the quality from the second you pick it up to when you are finished with your shave. Add the waterproof functionality and long lasting lithium battery and you have another proven winner.

Makes my life easier!

We have all hardwood floors and have to regularly vacuum our floors. They get super dusty due to 2 kids and 2 dogs. When we saw an affordable robotic vac that uses an app we had to jump on it. We just got a shark stick vac and love it so we trust the brand.
This ion vac is super easy to use out of the box. You snap on 2 brushes and put it to charge. Then you just hit the clean button. That's it! It ran around the house cleaning everything and getting out of jams. I thought I would need to pull it out from being wedged under my couch and TV console it somehow managed to get itself out. We were impressed. It is also very quiet. I thought my dogs would freak out, especially my dog with severe anxiety, but they didn't. I was impressed overall.
Cleaning...it cleaned the floor way better than I thought it would. When it was done cleaning for the first time we walked around barefoot to see if we would get dirt on our feet, we didn't. It even cleaned our carpeted runner very well. We were very pleased with how it cleaned.
I then installed the app and fought with my family for about half an hour when it asked me to name the vacuum. You can then set up a schedule or just let it run remotely. Now we clear the floors before we go out for extended periods and let it run via the app while we are away. I cannot set a schedule yet because our schedule changes every single day.
Overall, we love it. It has made our lives so much easier as it keeps our floor clean before deep cleanings.

Yes, the sealed lid is plastic with slots that make contact with the water as you pour it out. Even if you remove the lid, the mouth is also plastic that makes contact when you pour out the water. Hope this helps!

I would not risk running with these buds. They are a little bulky and have a rubber "band" that is supposed to help seal in the ear, but can also push the bud out a little. I would recommend the Plantronics Backbeat Fit ear buds.

Your question sort of contradicts itself as using an app to control something is essentially a "smart" home function. You can use the lock without connecting to the internet and use as a simple push code lock. But for that then spend less money and buy one without the internet accessibility. Once this lock is setup you can connect it to your home network and control it using the August app if you wish.
