This Blue-Ray version of 'Commando' presents image quality that is nearly identical to the standard dvd director's cut, the only question being - where are all the bonus features that are on the regular dvd? Perhaps they're hiding somewhere, but they're certainly nowhere to be found on this disc, which isn't worth buying in my opinion.

This Blue-Ray version of 'Christmas Story' presents almost nothing new compared to its standard dvd counterpart. Unless you don't have it on dvd already, I'd say skip it.

This Blue-Ray version presents so-called upgraded picture quality over the standard definition dvd, although I don't really notice a huge difference. While this disc faithfully ports over all the special features from the previous 2-disc dvd special edition, it really offers nothing new much new in terms of extras. Unless you're a person who just has money to burn, I wouldn't recommend buying this one unless you don't already have it."

This Blue-Ray version of 'Blazing Saddles' presents slightly upgraded picture quality, the only question being - is it that much better than standard dvd as to warrant spending the moeny if you already own it? Probably not. While this disc faithfully ports over all the special features from previous dvd edition, it really offers nothing new much new in terms of extras. So the bottom line is, do you feel like spending a good chunk of money for picture quality that will only be slightly noticeable when viewed on a high quality large widescreen HDTV? Unless you're a person who just has money to burn, I'd recommend just buying the special standard edition dvd and saving yourself about $20."
This three-pack of discs from Warner Bros. collects the director's cuts editions of the first three Lethal Weapon films. Each disc contains extended versions featuring previously unreleased footage, and theatrical trailers. Each movie is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves their original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. This is an excellent package for hardcore fans of Richard Donner's slam-bang series.

In my opinion, the 'Lethal Weapon' director's cuts just aren't worth owning unless you are head-over-heels for the films. But if you are, then this over-priced box set is for you.
Fans of the forever bickering cop team of Murtaugh and Riggs take note. All four of the Lethal Weapon films are packaged together in this gift set from Warner Bros. Each of these titles (Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 2, Lethal Weapon 3, and Lethal Weapon 4) is available individually, but this package offers them all together for a reasonable list price.

In my opinion, the only two 'Lethal Weapon' films worth owning are the first and maybe the fourth. Save yourself money and buy the titles individually.

'Lethal Weapon 3' is yet another poor sequel to a first film that was mediocre at best. Dvd transfer is acceptable, but the film just isn't worth owning in my opinion.
Richard Donner's smash follow-up to Lethal Weapon comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include production notes, a theatrical trailer, and a behind-the-scenes featurette. A director's cut of the film has been released on DVD, but less avid fans will do fine with this release, especially considering it is less expensive.

'Temple of Doom' is a terribly pathetic film, especially compared to the first Indiana Jones movie. This dvd contains the same widescreen transfer as released in 2003, plus some new, but minor bonus material that don't make this one worth buying if you already own the 2003 box set.
Revenge Of The Nerds fans are likely to be happy with this new special edition DVD. Don't let the silly Panty Raid Edition title throw you -- this disc takes the film seriously and provides extras that make a good case for what sets the film apart from the rest of 1980's comedy pack. The transfer sticks to the basics, recycling the anamorphic widescreen transfer from the prior disc and offering Dolby mono and 2.0 stereo mixes. It's a shame that they didn't go for a new transfer, as the current one shows its age in places, but the results are never less than watchable. The disc fares better elsewhere with some interesting bonus features. First up is a commentary featuring director Jeff Kanew and stars Robert Carradine, Timothy Busfield and Curtis Armstrong. Kanew delivers some interesting background about the making of the film while the actors tell a lot of fun stories about what it was like to be in front of the camera (and a few tales about what went on off-camera). Even better is "I'm A Nerd And Pretty Proud Of It," an engaging retrospective featurette that involves everyone from the commentary plus a few more key cast members. The participants tell an engaging tale of how Revenge Of The Nerds was "the little comedy that could" and their comments reveal how the hard work they all put into making the film the best it could be gave it the heart and inventiveness that its fans love. There is also a collection of deleted scenes -- it's easy to see why these were cut, as they are not as funny or well-realized as what ended up in the film, but they shed some interesting light on the filmmakers' choices in how to portray their characters. The most interesting extra is the oddest -- the pilot episode of a Revenge Of The Nerds television series. It doesn't involve any of the original creative team and the end results are fascinatingly awful, the kind of thing fans of creative train-wrecks will get a kick out of. The package is rounded out by trailers for the Revenge Of The Nerds and Revenge Of The Nerds II: Nerds In Paradise. In short, Revenge Of The Nerds: Panty Raid Edition is a solid special edition that is likely to please the fans it was clearly designed for.

Who doesn't like this movie? 'Revenge of the Nerds' makes for a really good time and is worth at least one, if not several viewings, presented nicely here with a special edition that is sure to be enjoyed by fans. Recommended.
