Comprehensive Package And Excellent ProPerformance

I've been a recreational UAS / drone pilot for many years. For the last week I've been testing the DJI Mavic Pro 3 with the Fly more combination. DJI has always been my drone of choice and this is the third DJI drone that I own. To save you some reading time, I will say this is by far the best drone I have tested. When purchased as part of the fly more combination this is also the most comprehensive package I have seen. This will most likely be a purchase for professional use.
Note for a first time UAS flyer. This is a hobby that is regulated and is regulated further for Part 107 Flyers. It is easy to buy a drone but you can't go directly from the store to the park. There is registration, a TRUST exam, safety regulations and in most American cities there are flight restrictions to abide by.
Inside the box was everything I needed to get started and replace easily damageable or replaceable parts. Essentially, allowing me to fly more. The contents included, the Mavic Pro 3 and gimbal protecting muscle, a premium RC controller, 2 extra batteries (3 total), 4 ND filters, a soft carry bag, 8 extra sets of propellers, 2 extra steering sticks, a fast charging brick, 2 USB-C cables and wall socket adapters for just about every country.
The controller is a significant upgrade. Setup is simple, but be sure to fully charge it first, or it won't work. I hated using my phone as a viewfinder, so I was grateful for the built-in screen. The antennas and battery are also built into the controller, making it a sleek, snag-proof package that's a dream to hold. The joysticks are made of aluminum and feel great to the touch, with the perfect amount of springiness. The viewfinder is bright and responsive to touch inputs. Finally, the controller is backward compatible with some older DJI products..
The Mavic 3 Pro is the largest DJI product I've tested. I expected it to be similar sized to my Air 2s but I was wrong. However, the larger size is understandable given its additional omnidirectional obstacle sensing and APAS 5.0 sensors, larger batteries, and three large camera sensors. DJI advertises 43 minutes of flight time, and my tests yielded results in the ballpark of that. I see it being achievable in the right circumstances. Charging the batteries took about 45 minutes, which is a bit long, but at least you get three batteries with the combo. Also, the batteries are not interchangeable with previous generation models because they are physically larger and load into the back of the aircraft. The transmission distance of the Mavic is 15 km which is 9.32 miles. Unless you are part eagle, that's overkill for the US. Especially, since you need to maintain line of sight of your UAS. So I will say the signal was solid up to my line of sight.
As for the cameras, I'm not going to get all technical and go into each of all the different modes and capabilities because I only had a week with this drone. But, I will say that the Mavic 3 Pro makes good use of the cameras. The images and video they produced look fantastic and I don't see any need to touch them up . The Hasselblad main camera comes from a brand that is known for its high quality cameras and premium sensors. So, as a content creator or photographer you would absolutely want it on your drone. As for the other two Telephoto lenses, they complement the drone by providing wide fields of view, and excellent zooming capability.
Overall, I loved flying this aircraft and I highly recommend it for Professionals doing Part 107 work.

Premium Feel And Performance

I've been testing the Acer Aspire Vero Model number AV15-53P-54MV (Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Full HD display) for about a week now. I was expecting it to be a budget laptop, but I was pleasantly surprised by its premium feel and performance.
The recycled plastic exterior of this laptop is impressive. Not only does it look good, but it also feels great in my hands and doesn't transfer heat through the bottom. This makes the laptop feel expensive and well-built. The keyboard has two levels of backlighting and the keys are very comfortable to type on. The recycled glass touchpad is also excellent. It's accurate and responsive, and feels nice to the touch. The monitor panel is super bright and has great color representation, making it perfect for productivity, and recreational activities like watching movies. It has the perfect complement of ports and one of the USB-C ports even supports charging the laptop.
When it comes to performance, I was pleasantly surprised by the Intel Core i5 processor. It performed as well as some of the prior years i7 processors I've tested, and it was efficient enough to handle tough tasks without the fan spooling up.. Speaking of the fan, it is almost completely inaudible. Also, the battery life is excellent. I easily got a full day's work without needing to charge it.
The only part of this laptop that doesn't seem to be as high-quality as the rest is the bezel that surrounds the monitor panel. It looks like it's made of a cheaper plastic that doesn't match the rest of the laptop's design.
Overall, this is an impressive laptop that challenges the stereotype that recycled materials make a laptop feel cheap. Well done, Acer!

Perfect Scan Quality And Easy To Use

The Epson ES-C220 scanner is a great high-speed scanner that's also light, portable, and easy to use.
Setup was simple: I just removed the shipping tape, plugged it in, and downloaded the software from the Epson website. The software was easy to install and use, but I wish the scanner was plug-and-play so I could use it without downloading anything.
To use the scanner, I just pulled up the antennas (paper braces), adjusted the positioning, loaded my paper, and pressed the scan button. The scanner did the rest. All the moving parts are easy to find because they're marked with little arrow tabs. After I hit the scan button, the scanner application immediately opened and quickly scanned both sides of my documents. Just as quickly, it showed me a preview of the documents and gave me the option to give them a custom name and location on my computer.
Some of the things I really liked about the scanner are that it's very fast, can do duplex scanning, scans in color, and creates crisp and perfectly aligned PDFs. The scan quality is probably the best I have seen in a stand-alone scanner.
Overall, this is a great scanner and I definitely recommend it.

So Much Potential Overshadowed by Poor App/Perform

I've been testing the Tapo TC85 3 Pack Security cameras for about a week. The security cameras have some good features, such as great mounting options, good build quality, camera resolution, and a cool AI feature that detects vehicles, pets, and people. However, the cameras are overshadowed by the accompanying app and poor performance, such as the need for a MicroSD card to record, long battery charging time, buggy app, lack of a web interface, and inconsistent motion detection.
The Good
- The build quality and camera resolution are good. All the equipment seems solid, and in daylight, the picture looks fantastic. However, at night, the picture quality is just acceptable.
- The cameras are easily mounted to just about anything. On steel, you don't need anything to mount them. The super strong magnets hold better than any camera magnet I have used. If it's a material you don't want to drill into, they provide double-sided tape and a small steel pancake for the camera to mount to. This is the perfect solution for anyone who doesn't want to drill holes.
- The AI feature is really cool. Whenever the camera detects a vehicle, pet, or person, it puts a little square around them and sends a push notification.
The Bad
- The first negative thing about these cameras is that they need a microSD card to record. Without a microSD card, the cameras are just like CCTV. They will notify you of an alert, but they will not record anything. If you add a microSD card, they will only record 20 seconds. There's a setting to extend the record time, but it doesn't work.
- The batteries can take up to 5 hours to charge. This is most likely because of the outdated micro USB connector.
- Another issue with these cameras is that the app is very unpolished. It seems that Tapo created one app for all their devices instead of making a dedicated camera app. Because of this, there are many bugs, redundant menus, and some settings won't save.
- Push notifications come in pretty fast. However, they do not come with a thumbnail. Also, when you tap on one of the notifications, it doesn't take you to the video; it takes you to the main screen.
- The cameras can only be viewed in the app. There is no Tapo web interface to view your cameras using a PC. If you do want to view video on your PC, you have to download a third-party app and punch a hole in your router configuration.
-Finally, the cameras do not catch all activity. I found that I received more false negative alerts than true positive ones. Even when I specifically would try to make the cameras alert, they only caught activity about 20 percent of the time.
With all that said, These cameras are newly released and I am one of the first people to test them. So, hopefully Tapo works out these bugs with an update to firmware or the app. But at this point I just can't recommend them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Gaming Performance and Immersive Display

I've been testing the 27-inch TUF Gaming VG27VQMY Curved Gaming Monitor for about a week, and I'm thoroughly impressed overall.
Some of the features I like best are the curved and wide screen profile, excellent picture quality, great port selection, the inclusion of HDMI and DisplayPort cables, and the built-in speakers.
Gaming performance was also excellent. The panel's color reproduction was excellent, and the picture is perfectly tuned for gaming out of the box. I was testing it using a 3060 graphics card, and no matter how fast-paced the game was, I never experienced any lag, stutter, dropped frames, or tearing. I easily got 160 frames per second with no issues. The curved panel also gave me a much more immersive feeling than my flat panels ever did.
For general use such as browsing the web, reading emails, and watching videos, the monitor needed to be adjusted. The colors initially looked odd, the text was hard to read, and the images looked oversaturated. However, it was very easy to fix using the buttons and navigation nub on the back of the monitor. Once I tuned it to my liking, everything looked great.
The only thing I think could have been better were the speakers. The sound they produced was acceptable, but the speakers lacked volume, depth, and bass.
With that said, with the exception of the sound quality of the speakers, I am thoroughly impressed by this monitor and I do recommend it.

My Favorite Smartwatch/Fitness Device

I've been testing the Garmin venue 3 for about 6 days. It is lightweight, long lasting, quick charging, feature packed, and extremely health focused. Overall, I love it.
The AMOLED display is gorgeous. Every screen is clear and vivid. It didn't matter if I was indoors or outdoors I could always clearly see the information that was being displayed. It is hands down the best smartwatch display I have seen to date.
The band is very comfortable. It's a 22mm, quick release, one-size-fits-all style band, and it has enough holes to be adjustable for any wrist.
The charging cable isn't my favorite feature of this watch. Rather than being magnetic and wireless, it is a proprietary four-pin plug-in style connector on one side and USB-C on the other. It works pretty good and it charges the watch from 5% to 100% in about an hour.
The battery life is excellent. They advertised 14 days but after my first charge it only lasted three. After my second charge it seems to be on track for at least 6 days. It seems that the battery life is dependent upon what type of watch face I chose. The watch also has a battery save mode. Which is probably the one that actually gets you the 14 days but I didn't test that. However, with that said it still has the longest lasting battery of any smartwatch I have tested.
The watch operating System seems to be a custom-made OS that is pretty decent. It took me about a day to really understand where all the settings and apps were. But after that it was pretty intuitive.
As for the apps. This is definitely a health focused smartwatch. It has exercise tracking modes for just about any any workout I could think of. For example, there's apps for walking, running, biking, pickleball, yoga rock climbing and a whole lot more. But for my use I was more interested in the body tracking features. I really like that it keeps track of my heart rate, my stress level, my sleep, calories and respiration. And the feature I love most about this watch is that it can connect to headphones and download Spotify playlists for use offline. That means when I go to the gym I no longer have to keep my phone near me in order to listen to music. This is the only smart watch that I know of that can do that.
With all that said, this is easily my favorite smartwatch and a highly recommend it.

Must-Have Cable For Any Electric Vehicle Owner

I've been testing the Rexing J1772 extension charging cable (32A, 17ft) for a week, and overall I like it. It's a must-have for any electric or plug in hybrid vehicle owner.
This cable is well-built and easy to use. on one end It has a female J1772 connector, and a male J1772 connector on the other end, so you can use it with any Level 1 or Level 2 J1772 charger. In my use the connections are secure and never get hot or warm, even when charging at high amperages. Furthermore, I did not notice any parasitic loss while using it and I also like that it comes with a nice canvas storage bag, which is a nice touch.
The 17-foot length is perfect for most charging situations. It should be long enough to reach your vehicle from most outlets, and it's also long enough to use at public charging stations where the cable may be too short.
Overall, I highly recommend the Rexing J1772 extension charging cable to any electric or hybrid vehicle owner. It's a well-made and easy-to-use cable that will make charging your vehicle more convenient.

Well-made, Informative, Effective Level 1 Charger

I've been reviewing the Rexing 16A, J1772, NEMA 5-15 Level 1 Portable Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger on my Mustang Mach-E for about a week, and overall, I really like it.
The Rexing Level 1 Charger is an excellent replacement for the Level 1 chargers that usually come with an electric vehicle. It has excellent build quality, and comes with a really nice canvas storage bag. It also has a 17-foot cord which was enough for me to reach my car from the outlet in the garage, and a nice LCD screen that shows useful information like AMPs, charging time, and temperature. This is the first charger I've seen/used that provides this type of useful information up front.
The Rexing charger supports up to 16 amps, but it will only deliver as much current as your circuit can provide. In my case, my circuit could only supply 12 amps, but the Rexing charger still easily provided me with 1 kWh of power per hour of charging. On my vehicle that gave me about 24 miles of charge overnight while I was sleeping. This is in line with other Level 1 chargers I've used. Also in my use the charger never got warm and did not show any faults.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Rexing 16A Level 1 EV Charger. It's a well-made, informative, and effective charger that I highly recommend.

Snug Fit But Basically A must Have Item.

For the last few days, I've been reviewing the Rexing CCS to Tesla charging adapter on my Model 3. The CCS adapter is significantly larger than the J1772 adapters. However they provide way faster charging speeds. Somewhere, in the area of 50KW to 100KW per hour.
With this adapter I am able to fast charge (not Supercharge) at most non-tesla charging stations. Such as, the Electrify America stations and EVGO stations. This adapter really comes in handy when you are in a pinch and can't get to a regular Tesla charging station. Or when your local charging station is full. I tested the adapter a few times and it worked perfectly for charging. It fits securely onto the CCS charger however it gave me a lot of resistance inserting it. The resistance is not because of the adapter but rather because of the rubber on the inside of the CCS charger plug I plugged it into. With that said, Aside from the super snug fit I didn't have any problems using it to charge. This is basically a must have for any tesla owner

A Must Have For Any Tesla Owner

For the last few days, I've been reviewing the Rexing J1772 to Tesla charging adapter on my Model 3. The first thing I noticed about the adapter is how small it is (3 3/4 inches) and easily stowable. Also that it feels like a quality piece of tech.
This adapter allows me to charge at most non tesla charging stations. Such as, the free Volta charging stations you find at the supermarket, some Electrify America stations, and/or a friend's house that has a J1772 charger. It really comes in handy when you are in a pinch and can't get to a regular Tesla charging station. Or when your local charging station is full. I tested the adapter a few times. It securely fits onto the J1772 charger with just slight resistance caused by the rubber seal on the J1772 plug. Other than that, it never got warm and I had no issues at all. I also like the fact that it can charge up to 80 AMPS which gets you up to the full charging capability of the J1772 connector standard. Which is about 19 KW. This is basically a must have for any tesla owner

Yes. The Winegard access point connects to the main router the same way a laptop or phone would connect and does not require the main router to be reset.

Can this indoor camera be set up in a window to record outdoor activity? I can’t use a doorbell camera due to a porch pillar blocking the view of the mailbox. I am looking for something to capture both the mailbox and the porch steps.
It can. However the camera moves a lot and you will probably run into issues with window glare.

There is no battery, it does use WIFI and the only wire is for power.

Are they loud
This is tough question because it's subjective. I will say it they are loud. But not loud enough for me to lose hearing.
