What an excellent picture, and the light bleeds in the blacks are gone. I am a die hard Sony TV buyer. I have this one in the living room, a 2 year old 55" in the game room, this same model in 43" in the garage and a 32" in the bedroom. I can't say anything about the remotes because I use Harmony remotes only, so I will pass on that. I also do not use much of the smart TV functions due to being a die hard Apple TV user. I also cant comment on the speakers because I use surround sound or sound bars on all my TV's, I am pretty sure they are lousy though as every flat screen TV I have owned or heard elsewhere has been. There isn't really a way to make such a small space for a speaker and have it sound good, so any negative stars for that is ridiculous. But the TV is fantastic and has a beautiful picture.

I have tried many extenders in the past and have had multiple issues. My favorite feature of this extender is the ease of installation and the fact that it will automatically connect to my wireless device as needed. It streamlines right into my Linksys AC5400 router and doesn't even show up as a separate network. I have full bars now wherever I am in or outside my home. It has a nice streamline look to it and puts off very little heat. You can also place this in a room that has no Ethernet jack and use the jack on the device for a hard wired device, say a older TV, game system or PC with no WiFi capabilities. So far I have yet to have to reset the device like I have in the past with other extenders. That is the best part in my book. If you need a WiFi extender you can't go wrong here and it will work with any WiFi router.

Commercial WiFi for home

First off let me say this puppy is huge. Not in a bad way, it looks excellent and I wish I could hang it on the wall. But you will need some space for this router to fit. Approximate size including antenna's is 12 1/2" wide x 11" deep. I had purchased not too long ago the biggest and baddest Motorola cable surfboard modem with WiFi and was getting lag here and there with my WiFi signal. The distance wasn't the best either. I would loose signal outside my garage door standing in the driveway. Neither of these are an issue after running this router. I also have no issues during parties any longer with lag, everyone in the house can connect and still have excellent speeds with no lag issues. Set up was cake, novice or experienced. For the novice you can use the existing (pre-loaded) network ID and password, download the app and make changes very easily from your smart phone or tablet. For the experienced its like any other WiFi router, type in the IP and go to town on the settings. Again I love the look of this guy. Also setting up other devices is a snap with the WPS button discretely hidden into the right side of the unit. If you have many wireless devices and or large gatherings then this is the router for you, you will not be disappointed.

Worked great for what was needed

Purchased this unit to power 6 in ceiling speakers. This unit did the job and had plenty of power to get the place rockin. I have purchased many high end Yamaha receivers over the years and this one for its value and what I needed it for was perfect. This wouldn't replace one for my home theater but for a smaller room or whole house audio its perfect.

Didn't last very long and horrible warranty!

I purchased this John Frieda hair dryer for my wife for Christmas. It just broke 4 moths later. I called and was told they would gladly replace it if I paid shipping to and from John Frieda's warehouse. I in all my years have never heard of such a thing. They are the first company I have ever had this experience with. I should not have to be out of pocket to replace or repair a defective product. Usually a RMA is sent and the defective product is returned at the manufactures expense, or a replacement is sent out and the faulty product is returned. So a $50 hair dryer that is under warranty and breaks will be replaced but after spending another $20 to pay for the shipping. Not a good warranty at all! No wonder its a four year warranty, who is going to waste money sending it back to get another one that might break as well and then have to pay more money to get another one again and so on and so on.

As you can see, I have to place the IR blaster in plain sight. It states you can place them behind cabinet doors, but it doesn't work. Also, you need to use both blasters. Often I have a problem beyond 6' with both blasters.
As for the mobile app, it's useless. I find it really difficult to believe people claiming to replace their remote with this. You can't even customize the buttons and you have to scroll through 3 or 4 screens to perform a simple command. As you can see in the picture, if I simply want to surf the satellite guide, I (1) select the device or activity, then it takes me to page 3, then (2) I have to scroll to page 4, (3) press Guide, (4) scroll back to page 3, (5) scroll back to page 2, (6) use the direction or page up/down buttons to surf. If I need information, I have to (7) scroll forward to page 3, then (8) scroll forward to page 4, (9) select Info, then if I need to go back to the guide I have to (10) scroll back to page 3, (11) scroll back to page 2, (12) press Return, (13) and surf some more. Let's see, at least 13 steps. BUT, there's no Exit button to get out of the guide, so I'm stuck there! Useless; too much work and it's missing some buttons.
As for the touch screen, you see need to look at it to know which button to press. Sure there's vibration after to press the button, but you can't feel for the button before you press it. Then you have to scroll a million pages up/down to find your desired command. With the old 880/890 you can scroll left and right to get to the desired screen which then holds 6 commands. It's more efficient, and you can feel for the buttons.

As Eric said your IR blasters need to be at devices they are controlling. The receiver takes the remote signals with RF and transfers the signal to the IR blasters to control each device. They do not need to be in the field of view. Try reading the directions or asking for help, your review is bad due to operator error not the device. Also you bought it knowing it was touch screen doh. I have all my components in a hall closet and everything works great! Just be sure to place your IR blasters near the components IR sensor. I just stuck mine to the inside of the door and they all reach the components.

Yes, just like any home alarm you can set for home, away or off. Home will alert you if a sensor is triggered but not sound the alarm.

No it has a great battery. I guess it would depend on how dirty your house is and the type of floors. For me, I am able to vacuum my entire 1800sq ft house which is all hardwoods, told bathrooms and area rugs here and there. It's awesome!
